I always dread calling plumbers to fix icky stuff around the house.
The expense, mess and smell of the workers are always irritants and leave me feeling skeevy.
This time we found Plotke through Yelp and could not be happier.
We initially called Plotke with a toilet issue, but I asked if they could take a quick look at a shower handle made in Germany (because apparently the ex-owners of the house couldn't find anything suitable that would be replaced easily). He ran upstairs, worked on it a bit, and found the issue.
Plotke called the faucet company for us and ordered the part. They promptly came back and installed the faucet.
Neat.
Respectful, clean workers.
More than reasonable prices.

No more dread when it comes to plumbing issues.

Just fired Rescue Rooter and went with Plotke. Rescue Rooter wanted $850 to replace a burned out Grundfos Recirculating pump (household) - Plotke did it for $324.50. Fast - easy - honest - time and labor. Don't screw with anyone else - you can trust these guys to do it right and charge and honest hours worth of work ($90 an hour plus materials)

I called them to have a service performed. At the time of my call they were not sure if they could provide the type of service I needed. The lady on the phone indicated that she would run the problem past her manager. To my surprise she called back with a very prescriptive suggestion about how I might run a test on my own. This saved me time and money! The customer service is excellent and I will be back if I indeed have a problem.

I've used Plotke twice in the past 1-1/2 years. Both times to reroute hot water lines that the builder cleverly hid in the slab foundation, which then decide to leak after 20 years. Durnit.
Both times we received a written estimate prior to doing the work. Both times the actual job came in under estimate. On the first job, I was able to compare the estimate with virtually the exact same job they had done on my neighbor's house (gotta love tract homes), so I know they weren't just padding the estimate. They actually got it done for less!
Everyone I've dealt with has been un-creepy. I mean, I don't expect them to be my new bff, I just don't want to worry about who's in my house! They've shown up within the timeframe quoted and gotten the work done quicker than estimated.
I will for sure call them again if I need any plumbing work!

Set up a time for them to come from 8-10AM. They didn't show and didn't call. Called them and said they'd be there in 10 min.... 30 min later still no show. I called and cancelled on them. Total looser!

The two plumbers, Carl and Robbie, were great. They explained what needed to be done, worked swiftly, and were total gentlemen, rare in this day and age!

I would recommend them very highly.
