Company was assigned to me via my home warranty provider. Repair person arrived and stated he couldn't do the repair because he had to order a part. Advised when the part arrived he would contact me and schedule a date to return and finish the repair. This all began in July of 2020. It is now January 2021 and I have yet to hear from them. NUMEROUS calls and texts have been sent to the company from me. Initially I was told they were waiting for the part. Later they simply ignored my calls and voicemails.
I've since contacted my home warranty provider to address the same problem. Can you believe they assigned Platinum Plumbing. I refused and have since been assigned someone else. They are extremely unprofessional!!

I'm am shocked with all of these bad reviews. My home warranty dispatched Ruben to change my garbage disposal. He was also dispatched for a sump pump, bathroom leak. The whole process went well. He was very pleasant knowlegable . He was very patient and responsive, despite the fact that I have os many questiona . He had to spend a lot of time to resolve some issues with the Work Order that the Home Warranty company sent to them (American Home Shield) .He had to get authorization to proceed. Ruben showed up earlier than scheduled, but he called beforehand to see if it was ok for him to come early. When he arrived, he promptly completed all the work and was kind and courteous. I was so impressed with his work that I have recommended him to all my friends to use as their personal plumber.
They have also had great experiences with his service and work. I have dealt with many repairs in my home , and he has exceeded expectations with his services and expertise.

This company was assigned to us through our home warranty company. They took forever to fix our water heater. We wanted the water heater to be raised 18inches above the ground as per the norms. We even purchased the platform for it. All they needed to do was to place the water heater on the platform instead of the floor. They charged us $180 just for that. Also the person who came to fix it, Ruben is very arrogant and difficult to deal with. Atleast he did a decent job with the actual water heater replacement. I wouldnt go with this company again.

I'm not sure what's up with all of these bad reviews. My home warranty dispatched Ruben to change my garbage disposal. The whole process went well. His office staff (I think her name was Ashley) was very pleasant and responsive, despite the fact that she had to spend quite a bit of time to resolve some issues with the Work Order that the Home Warranty company sent to them. Ruben showed up earlier than scheduled, but he called beforehand to see if it was OK for him to come by early. When he arrived, he promptly completed the replacement and was kind and courteous. I've had plenty of bad experiences with home warranty contractors, but this company is definitely one of the better ones I've dealt with.

I am so upset that there is no negative stars.Ireally doubt if he is a pulmper or not. He doesn't know his job. This company sucks. I never ever going to call or recomment this guy to not even to my enemies.

American Home Shield warrenty to call for plumber and they assigned this plumber he came he did the job for garbage dispossile and the second one was the foucet in kitchen zink itself. he ask me what is wrong with it and explained the issue is I can't close the foucet when I close it automaticaly go back to open position . He told me he can not do any thing the unit need to be changed for that he nned to contact AHS. after 3 days also no responds from the home warrent so I called them and I got a reply that they didnt get any report from the plumber and they tried to contact him he didnt pickup the call so they send a email to him after that call I called the plumber and I asked why you not iving the report he spoke to me very rudly and with in 2 days he send his diagonosis. I got so shocked with his diagnosis what he told is what my complaint was.the funny part is in his report he was blaiming us like he home owner want the foucet in up right position not downword. how can it be possible upword position is the closed position and downword is open .That means we should allow the water to run 24/7.

My problemb is still not got solved. I request to each and every individual 100% sure he is not a plumber who know the job.

I did not have a good experience with this company. He was assigned to our house from our home warranty company. Our kitchen sink would not drain and he was assigned to snake it. He came to our house and was here maybe 5 minutes. He literally did absolutely nothing and said he could not pull off the pipe to snake the drain. Then gave the home warranty a different story. He did not want to do the job and knew a way to get around it while still receiving his payment from the warranty company. I would NOT use this service for any plumbing issues you have.

DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER!
First time ever that I used American Home Shield warranty to call for a plumber. I signed up online and reported that there were TWO issues I wanted checked out. Paid the amount they asked. They assigned Platinum Plumbing. The guy calls me after a week and I tell him about the leak under kitchen sink and a potential leak concern in bathroom.

Plumber comes home, works on kitchen sink for two min, walks out the main door and starts filling paperwork. I ask what happened. Says he is done. He never thinks of explaining what he did until I ask him questions. Then comes the worst part. I tell him to take a look at the bathroom. He immediately complains that I reported only one issue even though my service order listed TWO and I had talked to him two days before on the phone explaining both concerns.

He reluctantly comes to the bathroom and says that what I hear is not a leak. I ask him to peek under the sink just to make sure. He refuses and complains again saying I am giving him a third task. He left immediately after that.

I will never use this plumber ever again. And I have a dim view of American Home Shield after this experience. I am seriously considering canceling my contract. Better to pay a professional who can explain what they are doing and who values customer service.

Ruben was assigned to my service claim of a leaking gate valve to my dishwasher. He took a pic, collected $75.00 and disappeared. The valve still leaks. I have since been advised that a leaking gate valve should be covered. One of the repairman wrapped some tape around it as a temporary fix. Neither First American nor Ruben are anywhere to be found. I wish I could post lower than one star.

Reading the low star reviews is puzzling as these guys were amazing. I assume the low stars are likely due to the poor service of the home warranty company; not the plumber. Home warranty companies can be difficult and stress inducing to work with.

He arrived exactly on time, spent the time necessary to evaluate the issue and preformed the repair perfectly. We call them as the first two plumbers wanted us to install additional pumps or replace our water heater completely - both would have cost hundreds of dollars. These guys saved us a ton of time, money and inconvenience.

Platinum Plumbing was easy to work with, responsive, professional and will be our first call in the future.
