Matt gave a good price and did a good job replacing my tank water heater. Unfortunately for me, he doesn't do other plumbing work and was not able to evaluate or fix a water temperature problem I have. He did offer some advice about what it could be and suggested that I contact someone else because he doesn't do that work. Matt was responsive and patient when I needed help re-lighting the pilot. He was fast and left the work area clean.

Matt from platinum plumbing installed a new water heater about a year ago. It stopped working when the pilot light went out and I could not restart it, Matt came over that day to restart it. It went out again four days later.
This time I could get it restarted.
By then we were both thinking somethings wrong with this heater. Matt took full responsibility. He called the company. He filed for The warranty. He ordered a new part. He even went further and brought out an entire new water heater because parts were taken taking so long. So either he was going to take the part out of the new heater or install the new heater. He ended up installing an entire new heater. I didn't have to do or pay a thing. He took full responsibility for making sure everything was working. And I didn't have to do a thing about the warranty - he made all the phone calls and he filed for it.
When you hire platinum plumbing, they do the job, and then take full responsibility if anything goes wrong with it. So it's not just that they do a good job, is that they have integrity and they stand by their work.

Driving in Folsom today, a truck whipped out of a parking lot near a wide intersection, cutting through 4 lanes of traffic and cut me off so hard, I had to lock up my brakes and make them squeal to avoid hitting them in the lane I was traveling in and I had the legal right of way. I can only think of a couple of times in my long life this has happened and was such a close call. I called the number on the truck, because I figured a company would want to know their employees drive so reckless, and the guy driving picks up the phone. I tell him exactly what I think of his driving in colorful language, and he says he just an employee, and instead of apologizing, he says flippantly: ""Has no one ever cut you off before?"" admitting guilt. Yet, the phone call went to him. So I am writing this review for a couple of reasons.

First, as a former business owner, I know the driver is a liability to any legitimate business owner. If the phone number is routed to whomever is on duty and truly not the owner, I hope the owner sees this review, and considers either reprimanding this employee, or removing them, since they drive so irresponsible in a company truck with the owner's business name and risk increasing insurance costs and a law suit.

Second, If it WAS the owner who picked up the phone, and he also lied when he said he was an ""employee"", in addition to his completely irresponsible and reckless driving, then he is even less responsible, and I would question his professionalism in his daily work and regard for your property.

I see someone else has left a review for this person's road rage driving habits, so now there is an established pattern for when he does cause property damage or bodily harm.

There are lots of plumbers, find someone who respects people, the law, and the safety and property of others.

First good all around experience with a contractor in a long while. Immediate response when I messaged. Best price by a few hundred dollars compared to several others. Showed up on time and finished the job in about an hour allowing for me to go on with my already busy schedule with little interruption. Matt was friendly, knowledgeable and fixed a few previous mistakes while educating me all the 5 W's.
