If you want someone that truly cares about plants, I highly recommend Debbie from PLANT CONCEPTS!
We had just moved to Lenoir City from out of state.
I'm originally from Knoxville and was thrilled to be moving home. I hadn't lived here in 40 years.
I had a 45 year old Schefflera that had been in transition with a plant moving service for around 6 weeks.
I was very concerned about the tree, as it was given to me as a small plant for Christmas in 1975. My parent's had taped dollar bills to the leaves.
A few years later, my Dad died suddenly from a heart attack.
My Dad had been an incredible gardener all of our lives. He could grow anything. The tree was very special and sentimental to me because of my Dad. I had moved the tree all over the country with our numerous relocations, and finally was bringing it back home.
The moving service let us know that they would be bringing the tree to us one afternoon. Literally, they dropped the tree off in front of one of our garage doors. I asked them if they would move it inside, since it has always been an inside plant. The tree was terribly stressed. I was very concerned if it would survive. It hardly had any leaves on it, and most of them were half brown. The men told us that they couldn't move it into the house, that it was all they could do to move it to the driveway. I was not expecting this at all!
I began to search for moving services that would move the tree from outside to the inside. One company was going to charge me almost $500 to move the tree inside. Another service wouldn't be able to move it for weeks. Fortunately, I clicked on the link to Plant Concepts!
Debbie answered the phone right away. I told her of my dilemma.
She was at another job site, but said she would stop by when she finished. Debbie owns her own Land Scaping Co., called PLANT CONCEPTS. She has her degree in Horticulture. Right away, I saw Debbie's love and concern for my tree. She assured me that she could help the tree recover, and move it inside the house. The tree was in a heavy terra cotta pot. She recommended that I go to a Nursery at the end of Northshore Dr. and buy a lighter pot. She also told me to pick up bags of potting soil to transplant the tree.
Debbie and her crew came a couple of days later, transplanted the tree into the new pot with care. Afterwards, she and her crew moved it into the house. The tree was extremely heavy, so this was not an easy job!
The tree is SO HAPPY now! New leaves have sprouted all over and the tree is thriving! And her fees were incredibly reasonable!
