Mike from Planet Plumbing came to my house to perform sewer line inspection. He was grumpy/very unfriendly and was upset with where the access to the sewer line was located. A recent inspection by a different company showed a small root that had partially broken into the line. It's not a major issue currently, but could become an issue over time. The cost for fixing it is likely hundreds, not thousands of dollars.
Mike from Planet Plumbing acted like the entire sewer line was root infested (reality...there's one small area impacted) and gave an estimate of nearly $10,000.00!!! I am not kidding, almost $10,000.00 to replace a couple feet of PVC pipe. While he may come across as knowledgeable by other reviewers, I found him very grumpy and beyond greedy because of his outrageous quote.

Don't use the Planet Plumbing guys in Longmont. They were hired to repair a leaky ball valve on a sprinkler drain and ultimately installed the wrong kind of valve, which led to a flood in our basement and roughly 18K of damage. They also have a 'hold harmless' clause in their contract which allows them to make very costly mistakes like this one with no accountability. Find literally any other plumber and go with them.

Planet Plumbing really came through. I had a main line to the septic tank fail on my 1970's house and the plumbing passed under a cement pad, cement retaining wall, pave stone walkway and herb garden. Three other contractors went screaming into the night and said no, I had no laundry or guest tub and was dealing with a hospital emergency that took my husband out of commission so boy was I stressed. Planet Plumbing was referred by a local realtor. They sent Saul who showed up right away to asses the problem, came up with a staged strategy to uncover and fix what was likely to be found, and leave the house fully upgraded for the next 50 years. He broke the work down into separate quotes to get at the laundry first if we were lucky. This made it easy to decide what to do when, and affordable to complete the work right away. Everything was accurately estimated and he charged me exactly what was quoted No matter what was found. He also did the work himself, so no handoffs. It was clean effective work and he managed any assistants seamlessly. They kept my gardening soil separate and put everything back where they found it. Saul even gave up replacing cement piecemeal and referred me to a great cement contractor so that I have a brand new pad pour of equally high quality after he left. Saul is very personable and highly qualified and keeps himself educated and certified. He makes structural plumbing disasters seem like no big deal. We are having him complete other items we estimated, like a new hot water heater and bathroom replumbing for sure. Husband is doing great and thinks I'm a miracle worker to manage a big mess during a dire medical emergency, thanks to Saul.

We Just had a *really* awful experience w Planet Plumbing. Would never use them again. they damaged a very expensive tub, charged us then left without saying anything. refused to take responsibility.

Gary and JJ helped me out with my kitchen remodel, including moving a washer and dryer and installing an electric not water heater. They both did a great job.

This is the only place I will ever call again. Every technician knows exactly what they are doing and they always get it done and leave the area sparkling clean. If I could give all the stars in the universe, I would

Called Planet Plumbing to clear a sewer line. They gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled at my convenience. Mike Steedo came out on time, was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. A very good experience.

Even though I have home warranty that would have covered me AND the contact information for the installer of our hot water heater, I still decided to pay for Planet Plumbing to come out because 1) they answered the phone, 2) they had someone available sooner than the other two companies, 3) they do not charge for overtime, 4) there was no trip charge, and 5) they said they'd charge nothing it turned out to be simple.
I have found my plumbers that I'll use here forward. Thank you!

After my next door neighbor retired from plumbing, I had a string of really bad experiences with various local plumbers, big name and small. I can't articulate my relief when I was referred to Planet Plumbing by a local plumber who was overworked!
Planet Plumbing is my go to ... I don't even bother grabbing competing quotes... they are awesome. Rooter prices are overly reasonable! They are all knowledgeable, well trained, honest, prompt, and fair.
Once the plumber was being accompanied by an apprentice, who forgot to lay carpet protector down before taking the rooter snake down to the basement... so there was some black marks on each of the stairs until I caught it, and he tried to lift that side up off the carpet as he went down.
These things happen... and they are great opportunities for service providers to demonstrate their true value and their true concern. They finished the job, were very apologetic, and left it to me whether I wanted them to go out and get stain remover and come back to try and clean the carpet, (even though it was already 8pm), or receive a fair discount off of the service.
I opted for the discount, used some basic carpet cleaner and the grease came right out, but I have high faith and confidence in the integrity, experience, and skill of every Planet Plumbing plumber I've gotten to work with. Oliver is setting me up with a new water heater soon, and is ensuring everything is up to current code and current safety standards... Thanks, Oliver!

They totally messed up my sink drain and the owner refused to take any responsibility for it, stating that I have a custom sink so the work they did was not their problem. He later refused to return calls to discuss the situation. In the meantime, I'm left with a sink that doesn't drain and can't find anyone who can repair the damage they caused. Not exactly a happy ending to spending a heap of money ($350) to get a new drain from them (the 2nd sink was fine from their work).
