They came out to fix a leaky toilet and within 3 weeks it was leaking again (we received zero money back for this). When I had a conversation with Kristen to have a new toilet installed, I made it clear we wanted a round toilet in comfort height (which is 17-19 inches high). She said the toilet would be 19.5 inches tall too, which is taller than our toilet now, but I OK'd it as long as it wasn't higher.
The proposal was written up wrong and they installed an elongated toilet that is 21.5 inches high. When I called to address it, they take absolutely no responsibility and simply say, ""well you signed the proposal"". (My spouse signed the proposal which I never saw).
Now I know why they have you pay before they leave!
All in all this has been a 2.5 month nightmare. If you want to get overcharged, wrong items installed, then definitely hire this company. If you want quality service and a company that stands behind their word, then find someone else.
If you are thinking of hiring this company, please check them out at bbb.org (Better Business Bureau) before making your final decision. Wish I had done that.

Do not use them. We called for them to fix a leaky sink. They charged us $220 for coming to the house and doing nothing. Their diagnosis was that it was leaking. They didn't even try to fix it, yet charged us for the visit. I understand there's a cost for travel but not $220. They are a rip off, stay away! I wish i had read the other reviews before calling them.

Thursday November 4, 2021 Water heater burst.
I call PJ's Plumbing at 8:00AM. They can come that after noon between 1:00 and 3:00PM. Cost is $2,275.00. My response is wow that's a bit much for a water heater, but I need one and they can install it that afternoon.
The plumber comes out, tears out the old one then before he brings in the new one he comes in my office and says he wants to show me something. We go outside and he says ""the new water heater has some cosmetic damage but will not compromise the operation of the unit it is strictly cosmetic"". He calls his office to see if they will discount it some to compensate. Paul called me and says he will discount the unit $150.00 and he too states that the damage will not affect the warrantee or operation of the unit. Ok go ahead and install it.
The guy finishes the install, says we should have hot water in 20 minutes or so, collects the $2,300 and off he goes. Hour later I take a shower, it's only mildly warm so I went down and turned the temperature up a bit.
Next day it is still only mildly warm so I go down and turn it up all the way. Now it is Saturday and the water comes out hot but the temp drops within a few minutes to moderately warm. All faucets in the house are the same way and the kitchen hot water pressure is very low.
Monday we call PJ's Plumbing and explain what is happening and that the unit is turned up all the way just to get hot water. Paul says ""oh that is not good"" and agrees to send a guy out on Tuesday from the distributor. That guy does a few tests and says the water heater is functioning. He agrees there is a problem but he said he is not a plumber so he does not know what it is. Said he would call Paul and let him know what he found and that Paul would then call me. Needless to say no call from Paul so I call Paul late Tuesday afternoon. When I asked what the guy found he says ""well the water heater is functioning so I've done my job"". I said ""Paul, the old unit you pulled out did not drop the water temp after a few minutes at each faucet so why does this one"" Paul tells me ""well then come and get your old one"". At this point it is getting a bit tense so I said let me think about this and I'll get back to you. It was very apparent what type of guy I was dealing with so I needed to collect my thoughts.
Called him back a half hour later. I said help me understand why before you installed this water heater I had continuous hot water at each faucet and now I do not, when the only variable is the water heater. He says ""well you have a problem but we did what you hired us to do"". I said OK but I still do not have hot water so what can be done. He says he would have to send his guy out to see if they can find the problem. I asked how much that would cost he said ""well I don't know it depends how long it takes to find the problem"". I said so basically you want me to give you a blank check to come out and fix a problem that never existed before your team installed this Rheem hot water heater. He said the way he saw it was I was asking him for a blank check to come and fix the problem. Then he said ""well you can't fix stupid"" and he hung up on me.
I have contacted the credit card company, filed a dispute claim for the charge and will be contacting a different plumbing company to come out and fix the sub-par work done by PJ's Plumbing since Paul refuses to stand behind his work. aka ""POOR JOB PLUMBING"". This organization is obviously a scam.
DON'T WANT TO GET TOOK THEN DON'T HIRE THE CROOK @ PJ's PLUMBING aka POOR JOB PLUMBING

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. I hired PJ's plumbing to replace a gas water heater. Paul, the owner of PJ's Plumbing, came to my house to replace it. Upon completing of the project, Paul handed me an invoice for $3045, which is more that $1200 over any quote received from other plumbers. When questioned about the invoice, Paul refused to provide a breakdown of the cost. I was forced to contact the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to intervene on my behalf. You can file a claim as well at DATCP Home File a Consumer Complaint (wi.gov) or by calling 608-244-5012. Please report this business if you have a similar experience. Paul seems to have no problem fleasing customers, especially women. He should be held accountable for his lack of business ethics.

They charged me for coming out to my home and doing NO work at all. I had a water pipe come apart on Labor Day and I called the fire department and the fire department called the city water department. Those departments did all the work. Because I had used this company many times in the past few years, I called them too. Their plumber came to my home, stayed for what he says was 3.5 hours and determined he could do nothing until the next day. He didn't even try because he said their warehouse was closed for the holiday. He literally watched the firemen and water dept man do all the work and then charged me for it at $300 an hour. Then he came back the next day and charged me for the actual work, parts, and his travel both days. When I got the bill I was flabbergasted and called the owner and he said it was what it was. He even said he knew that no work was done but that his plumber came out on a holiday and stood around watching what was being done so that he knew what to do the next day. A complete scam.

Very unprofessional business both from the service man and the owner (including no mask). I had service done only to find out got a almost $400 bill for a $200 job. An hour job that actually I timed and stated they were here longer. Now I still have a leak after all this! When I tried to call to question the bill no one answered. I finally got a call and right away they ""threatend"" with these accusations without questioning their poor service. I heard of many bad reviews regarding PJs Plumbing since my service was done. I wish I would have known. The owner event wouldn't listen to my proof. if you are going to this business you are asking nothing but trouble and paying for things you don't need to.

Had a leaking hot water heater replaced (converted to tankless). From start to finish, PJs provided the best experience I could have expected. Extremely efficient, honest, professional and courteous. I will use them for all future plumbing needs and highly recommend others to do the same - you won't regret it! Thank you Paul and PJs Plumbing for the awesome service!

If I could give zero stars I would!! He cleaned my pipes as if a kindergartner did it! The lack of professionalism was atrocious! I wouldn't recommend PJ's Plumbing to my worst enemy!!

Can't say enough good things about this company. We've used their services twice so far - once to replace a leaking disposal, the other to install a new faucet when the kitchen sink lost water pressure. Both times the service was quick, professional, and refreshingly honest in terms of what was necessary to buy vs. what was a recommended ""nice to have"".

While we hope to never need their expertise again, we wouldn't hesitate to call them the next time we do.

PS: Paul is the /man/. Funny, friendly, and super skilled. Was able to remove a faucet despite a support beam running right next to the connection under the sink (and where another plumber had taken one look at it and given up).

He is supposed to do warranty work for state water heaters. He was lazy on the repair. He swapped out a part on the water heater and couldn't be bothered to reset the error code and make sure the unit was operational. Then when called for a correction he was too busy to actually finish his job. Doesn't stand behind his work if he isn't getting paid what he thinks. Also charges for a service call in addition to the hourly fee. Do many people bring sinks into the shop for unclogging. Straight money grab and con.
