Never sent his invoice with warranty that he promised. Like other reviewers he has ignored my calls and emails since getting paid. I spent a lot of money and as soon as he had it he's impossible to get ahold of.

Walter is a great plumber also a fantastic thief. He did several jobs for me - best plumber I have ever used. Nice hardworking dude as someone else reviewed. Then he took a $3800 deposit for an HVAC unit and disappeared - found out he did the same to several other homeowners in same building - stole over $20,000. Impressive as a thief, right?

Walter has scammed us too. He came out to install a backflow preventer, at which time he stated that his solder tool was broken and he would call back to finish the job. Because we are foolish, trusting people, we paid him in full. We have tried for the past 6 weeks to have him back to replace the rubber piping with the up-to-code copper piping. Each time he schedules an appointment he then texts or calls that morning with the same story: He had to go to an emergency call at a retirement home at 5am and he will be stuck at the project until the end of the day. Now we are left with a temporary solution and will need to have another plumber out to finish the job. After looking at the DORA website, Walter IS NOT LICENSED! If you are scammed by Walter, you can report him to DORA, report the fraud to ""Stop Fraud Colorado"" under the Attorney General's office, and other online review venues.

The reason for one star is because when Walter initially came to my house on July 18 and told me that I needed a new swamp cooler valve on my outside spigot, he also said that all of his work and parts came with a 2 year warranty and that he'd email me a detailed invoice including that warranty. I scheduled for him to return later in the week to make some additional repairs ($$$). When he came, I asked about the invoice for the earlier work--which I'd not received. Walter told me that he was going to send one invoice for everything later that afternoon after he was done with his last job. Well, I never received that invoice. So, I texted him and he responded he'd have Jodi resend it. Still hadn't received it later that afternoon, so texted Walter again. He responded that he'd follow up with it when he got back around 5. I sent two more text messages over the next few days, with no response from Walter. This is on the phone number listed for the business. But, my two checks that totaled almost $900 cleared my account the day after I received Walter's last text message.

So, I've filed a complaint with the BBB (where this business has an ""A"" rating). I've no complaint with the work performed; my complaint is the written 2 year warranty and detailed invoice I was promised and never received. Will update on what kind of response my complaint generates--if any. Also, I attempted to contact by email through the business website--but my email bounced back. Finally, I have no idea of Walter's last name or the names of anyone else associated with this business. There's nothing on the website, the BBB's review pages, or my cleared checks. So I recommend that anyone considering hiring Walter first obtain their invoice and warranty in writing before payment. I'm bummed, because now I'm back to square one on finding a good, reliable plumber--unless he contacts me and it turns out he was simply swamped and ends up making good on the promised paperwork.

8/4/16: As promised, I'm back to update my review. Within minutes of posting my original 1-star review, Walter called me. When I told him I'd never received an email, he checked and found that the paperwork had been left on a desk and not turned in for invoicing. He immediately had the invoice prepared and emailed to me. He also emailed me his last name: Maciejewski. I'm sorry that it took a negative review to get a response, but glad that I got the response I was hoping for. The work Walter performed was excellent and his communication--until the snafu with invoice email--was equally excellent. I'm happy to have found my new plumber.

Contracted with Walter to replace my AC unit. Gave him a deposit and now he wont return a phone call. Clearly stole the money. This guy is a big talker and a bigger thief. Do not use him unless you want to lose your money.

This gets worse, filed with my credit card company to stop payment on the $4500. Walter responded to the credit card company that he performed the services. What a liar. I talked to the manufacturers rep and he never placed the order and is now lying about it to the credit card company.

I am not sure if he is still in business but he scammed 5 people out of deposits in my building. They paid cash and he stole over $20,000 from these trusting people.

Walter is awesome. He came out to change the pads in my swamp cooler and ended up cleaning the inside of the unit as well. I've had a couple guys from other companies up there and not one of them took the time to actually clean it, although one guy told me that I needed to have it done...cool thanks man! Walter showed me how everything worked and how to shut it down for the winter so I could do it myself...How's that for honesty? Most companies wouldn't show you that because they want you to hire them to do it, but he was all about me saving money.

I also wanted to change out my shower trim because after my buddy had taken it apart to stop a leak, the water wasn't getting hot. I thought the valve was shot. I had spent $400 on a new valve, trim and tub spout and was ready to fork over the cash to have Walter install it. He asked if he could try something before he started...He took off the knob and adjusted one piece, put it back together and turned it on. Hot water. He said he just didn't want me to have to spend that kind of money if it wasn't necessary. All in all it took him 5 minutes, so he didn't charge me for that.

He's just a good honest dude who clearly takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customer. I'll definitely be calling him again if I need any plumbing work done.

I am so glad I reached out to Walter instead of the competition. You can tell when the person you are doing business with has your best interest in mind and does business with integrity. Walter is one of those guys.

I was able to get the numbers from him on estimates over the phone and he stuck to what he quoted me.

His work was quality and he made time is his schedule to move our job up a few days since we had an emergency.

I will completely vouch for him as a quality plumber and highly reccomend him to anyone. Its good to know there are still a few people that do business in this world with the custumer first mindset.

Super glad that we hired Pipeworx to fix our plumbing issue. Walt was able to perform the work--replacing a section of vent pipe--on short notice and for a very reasonable price. He is a super friendly and professional guy. He was also very considerate about minimizing any mess and cleaning up after he finished. Could not recommend him highly enough!!!
