Pipes ""R"" Us Plumbing, Inc; Is an Egregious Well Run Company! I phoned there over a week ago; the call was answered by Lynette. Lynette listened Tentatively to My need and Immediately directed me to The Company, That I should phone first; Accurate Leak Detector. I followed Lynette's Advice; As I had No Doubt, That she had led me to the appropriate company, In order to assure, My issue would be handled in a Precise Manner. I phoned and Spoke with Tommyof Accurate Leak Detection, and after listening to My dilemma; He set up an appointment with His Team: Rodney and Steven. Rodney and Steven came out, carefully explored the premises of my home, located My problem; Then sat with me, To assure, I understood their Detection Diaphragm. Tommy had previously explained, That He would contact Pipes ""R"" Us and send a copy of their findings, Which had a Detailed Diagram, Displaying the areas of The Leakage, in My Home. A few days later; I received a call from Lynette, of Pipes ""R"" Us. Once again, Lynette was Precise and informed Me, When Her Plumbing Team would be arriving at My Home; Along with the Time and The Approximate Time Frame, of their Stay. I was Solely Impressed! Well, This morning, The Pipes ""R"" Us Plumbing Team, Arriving on Time, Rung My Bell and when I opened the door; Both Members of The Plumbing Team, Greeted Me, Announced that they had their Covid-19 Vaccine; I Responded, ""Me too""; While Grabbing the knob of My Front Door, Drawing it Towards Me; So, They could enter. Once, They entered Ray and Ross, Wasted No Time; Comparing The Detection Diaphragm Sheet, From Accurate Leak Detection and Had No Problem locating, Nor, Repairing The Leakage, in just 2 Hours. Now, How Impressive was that!!! They went to their Company Truck, Returned with My Invoice; Asked if I had any questions, Which, I did Not. Therefore, I walked through My Home; Retracing the Areas where they worked and It was, As if they hadn't Disturbed, Anything... That's how Neatly they worked!!! More Impressively, If I needed to Hire a Painter, I am Confident, He wouldn't be here, Past an half hour. The Sheetrock, Which was cut from the wall By Ray and Ross; Was Cut Soooo Neatly and Perfectly; I probably could take on the Challenge and Tape and Paint The Sheetrock, Myself, But, Trust Me, I'm Not that Brave... I will Most Assuredly hire A Painter. Thank You, Accurate Leak Detector and Thank You, Pipes ""R"" Us, For an Admirable and Consummated Experience! I just Adore The Comradery Between, The Two of You... Phenomenal!!! Both Companies had Extraordinary Fair Prices and are Both; Prime Examples of ""Front Runners""; However, ALWAYS KNOW, ""OUR HEAVENLY FATHER"", IS ""THE #1 FRONT RUNNER!!!!!"" AMEN!!!!! May Both Companies and Their Family Members, Continue To Be ""BLESSED""!!!!!

Fixed an issue. It broke again a few months later. They used the wrong part. Another plumber showed me why it broke.

They came the day I called and quickly repaired my leak. It was an outdoor faucet they repaired. They called my cell and repaired the faucet without any contact.

Kept changing the price, of course more expensive than quote. Came to the property to check progress, a Hispanic family was do the work, not kidding, wife and kids. Didn't speak a word of English. Never hit their deadline by a week.

My realtor made an appointment with them to come out on a Tuesday at noon. I was working, so my dad said he would be there since I was unable to. My dad cancelled his plans to be there. I ended up being able to leave work early to be there for the inspection. It's 1205 and my dad texts me saying no one is there. Ok, they may be a little late. I get home at around 12:40, still no one. At around 1, I double checked with my realtor on date and time and told her no one came. She called the office and did not tell me or my realtor that all appointments were cancelled for the day. Ok, I'll let it slide, the weather was bad due to the winter storm rolling through. Got rescheduled for Thursday the same week. It's my day off, appointment is for 730 am. I get up early, and wait. Nothing. At 830/900 no one had shown. I took my dog for a walk and saw a note on my front door saying ""Pipes R Us was here from 730 - 800. Call office to reschedule."" That's strange, I didn't hear a knock at my door. I called to reschedule and explained my situation. I guess I talked to the owner and he said the inspector did come and was knocking for 15 minutes, which did NOT happen. My house is VERY small and I can hear knocks from anywhere in my 600 square foot house. I told the owner this did not happen, and he told me ""I'm going to have to go with my guy on this because he is my main guy and he was knocking for 15 minutes."" This is was completely untrue! The owner lied to me, and basically called me a liar! This company is VERY unreliable and EXTREMELY unprofessional! I do not know of their work, but if you want professionalism and a reliable company to work with, Pipes R Us is NOT the company to use!

Prices are very high ($175 per hour) and wanted to charge me 2 hrs to clean out a drum trap. FYI - a drum trap in a slab house is inaccessible because it is in the slab! That is a total ripoff! They did an inspection for my prospective buyer and left the cover off of my sewer clean out so someone could have broken a leg in it. They also broke the plug off of my utility drain line and did not even bother to tell anyone about it. Very unprofessional job and I would never hire them myself. I used Anywhere Plumbing Repair at a price of $145 per hour with and honest plumber that came out the next day.

EVERY SINGLE PLUMBING DEVICE IN OUR HOME HAS LEAKED!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!! They were the plumbers that plumbed the new construction houses on my street and at least one other person has had the same issues. It's ridiculous!!!! Hardly any of the connections to faucets were tight. The garbage disposal wasn't connected to the sink, the guest bath shower faucet wasn't connected fully to the pipes, the master sinks had the same issue and the guest bath sink. And NOW THE DISHWASHER LEAKS!!! This house is barely 3 years old. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable!!!

I discovered a huge hole in front of my house, about 4ft deep! Who knows how long it was going on. My handyman suggested there may be a sewer line break, and recommended Pipes R Us. I am so glad he did. They were able to come and video scope and do the repair in the same week! The guys Tony, Tommy & Chris were friendly and professional and knew exactly what they were doing. I had great confidence in them as they explained the problem and the resolution step by step. They were meticulous in their work and the clean up and it was all done at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

All of our toilets were backed up in our home. We made an appointment and the guys came out and said it was fixed we paid $225.00 and right after they left it backed up again. I called immediately and the super rude woman that answers informed me that they will not come back until the next day! No toilets all day. I would not ever recommend this company. We called Rotoscoped Rooter and they came out immediately and FIXED the problem.

I've worked with him a few times. Things didn't always run smooth, but we were able to work things out. He's OK for minor things, but they had a major error. They quoted me $3,200 for one job. They found out it was worth $10,000 so instead of fixing my problem, they told me I had another problem I didn't have. They removed all the supposed twisted pipe before I could see it.

There are lots of red flags with this plumber. He doesn't put anything in writing and has promised me things like a free rod for two years after I had a sewer line elbow reattached. I ended up having to pay for it. I called it a wash because he camerad a line for free once. He'll do minor things for free to build good will, but don't get suckered into it.

He doesn't give you anything with his address on it. The cancelled checks don't look to be deposited into a business checking account. You don't have anything except his phone. Anyway, he didn't realize that I knew to contact the Illinois Attorney General. We sort of resolved the issue. There are multiple red flags.

If you want to hire him for something minor, it should be OK, but my advice is if you have major issues, I would hire a plumber who is not as secretive. Some one who puts things in writing, gives you an address, deposits checks into a business checking account, etc. He'll tell you it cuts his costs and he passes the savings to you, but he's not the cheapest guy out there. If you did hire him for something major and had issues, contact the Illinois Attorney General.
