Like other reviewers, our home warranty company chose PipeDoctor to come to our house and quote replacement of our outdoor tankless water heater following the Texas winter storm in Feb '21.

The company quoted us $7,500 for replacement, a job that one year ago when we initially purchased the unit, cost us just under $3,000. Absolutely disgusted, we hung up with them. We instead used Radiant who charged us $3,090 for the entire job.

A week after sending us the $7,500 quote, PipeDoctor texted to confirm if we still wanted the replacement unit and noted the full cost would be $4,975. I reminded them that a week prior they quoted $7,500 and they said it was due to "supply and demand."

Actually, that's called price gouging and it's illegal.

I feel extremely bad for anyone forced to use this company by their home warranty company. For anyone looking to hire their own plumbing team and pay out of pocket, RUN. Shady business practices are at play here.

Believe the reviews.

Worst company. Incompetent employees. Beverly came out and could not even diagnose a broken faucet. Also could not differentiate between the hot and cold faucets. Second opinion revealed very simple broken faucet which took 30 minutes to repair. Would not recommend. Use anyone else.

And these people suck. They rip me off but overcharging me and then refusing to answer my phone calls. I'll see them today. Stay away from them.

One leaking pipe in the garage from the freeze and they charged $525 for little more than half hour of work. Ridiculous. And if you don't go with their repair after they give you their ridiculous price, they charge $125 for a "trip fee".

I had a terrible experience with their plumbing contractor (PipeDoctor) that had been assigned by OneGuard and for over a month and more than a few times lied, ignored, and attempted to deceive me into paying for what I believed and finally confirmed was unneeded out of pocket work in the amount of $1450 ($775 broken existing shower cartridge and $675 for perfectly good shower cartridge). I believe the biggest lie was that PipeDoctor would not be able to replace the leaking one of my two shower valve cartridges in my dual faucet master shower ($69 service fee cost total cost to me) with same Pfister parts. PipeDoctor refused to repair my shower faucet cartridge and stem or valve (whatever was needed) with Pfister parts in order to utilize my existing finish fixtures that match my whole house bathrooms, but instead I was told a few times and pressured into believing that the tile needed to be removed (additional retile cost not covered by One Guard) and a whole different master shower faucet valve and water pipes (PipeDoctor diagnosed Electrolysis) were required. Through numerous ignored phone calls, return calls by receptionists (Josh Beck, owner refused to call me back) and brief rude plumber (Blair Emerson) conversations, PipeDoctor refused to replace my Pfister Valve because they recommend Moan Valves which have different finish fixtures and if I want my dual master shower fixtures to match then I need to pay the additional $675 to replace the other perfectly working shower facet. Here is how the nightmare ended. Local plumber (4.5 stars) inspected and told me to call Pfister customer service and Pfister sent me the following parts free of charge; the replacement valve with the cartridge and stem inside, one screw was broken so Pfister sent me the four pressure bracket screws, and bracket. Local Plumber returned and tapped out screw (took 5 minutes), replaced the cartridge and stem inside existing valve pipe, put new bracket and screws on existing valve pipe, replaced and chalked my existing shower fixture. I wrote them a check for $285 for their two visits and labor. There was no electrolysis, so no new waterlines, no tiles removed and replaced, no reason to replace perfectly good duel shower facet, and my existing shower fixtures still match. OneGuard's contractor PipeDoctor gives OneGuard a bad reputation and should be removed from doing service work with them. PipeDoctor (1.5) stars can be reviewed on the internet where other people use the terms like scammers, crooks, liars, rude, nonresponsive, have to at least give a 1, would give negative stars, do not let them in your house, and etc. PipeDoctor is not the type of service contractor that I would have working for me and neither should OneGuard.

My home warranty initially sent a plumber here to clear a drain. He said my lines needed to be hydro jetted(false) at which point they sent pipe doctor 24/7. After about 4 minutes of trying to get his snake through the drain to no avail the technician said there was a blockage and I needed to install a 375-dollar clean out which was not covered by the home warranty. When I asked if this was a guaranteed fix ,they said no. Fortunately the home warranty allowed me to get another plumber that quickly diagnosed a clog further down the line, snaked the drain and it is now perfect. Easy fix. I can only imagine the poor people who fall for these tactics and continually pay exorbitant fees to crooked technicians for unnecessary work. Just imagine what would happen after the clean out didn't work. Replumb the entire house?

We tried out PipeDoctor 247 through our home warranty for a broken garbage disposal. Jerraud was very professional and got it working perfectly. I would recommend.

Advice , take the cash out and use it towards a company that answers their phone and doesn't charge 90.00 dollars for a 20.00 drip pan. So bad, First American and their 2 vendors obviously are in collusion.

The home warranty company sent these guys out Tuesday last week to fix a leaky faucet. I get a message today a week later saying that the retaining nut and cartridge need replacement. No problem there, but it did take them a week to get back to me, during which time we were unable to use the main kitchen sink. Then they quoted $535 to come back and replace it. Outrageous I thought. Will not be using these people again.

For the love of God and everything good in the world, STAY AWAY FROM PIPE DOCTOR 24/7. Worst plumbing company I've experienced by a landslide. Companies like this will not last. I'm surprised they are still in business after looking at all these reviews.

If someone named Blair is your technician, congratulations, you've been gifted with the LAZIEST and LEAST KNOWLEDGEABLE technician to troubleshoot your plumbing issues. He came to my house, looked at two toilets (though his report falsely says he looked at three), said the toilets were fine, and recommended an advanced water leak detection test that cost $450. When I asked what the advanced leak detection test consisted of, I was told nonsense.

I had another plumbing company come out to check out the issue, and they were able to find the issue in less than 10 minutes, and told me the parts would cost $40...

Needless to say, I'm never using Plumbing Doctor 247 again. Shame on all the home warranty companies (especially Landmark) that still have them listed as a contractor despite the plethora of bad reviews they've received.
