We had drainage issue after moving into a new home at los altos (except for the old sewer). We had to get it rooted couple of times by a different vendor. I suspected that replacing might be better. Contacted Pipe-thru over yelp and Jose responded promptly. Jose is a star and runs a tight ship. He ran the camera inside and quickly showed me the state of pipes and roots at the joints. He was very patient and answered all our questions and gave the suggestions to not only replace the sewer line, but also add couple of clean-outs (The earlier one was a bit wierd) and backflow stopper. He got his crew exactly on time and finished the work in 1 day. He also applied for all permits and had his person present to finish the inspector check, which happened next day. They also cleaned up well and had things back to their original state.

It's been 6 weeks and there have been zero problems. Overall, couldn't be happier. Jose mentioned a long warranty too (10 year) on the sewer line. He was also knowledgeable about city laws (unlike some others) and gave good suggestions for the future. Thanks Jose for the great experience and continue the good work !!!

Jose and his team are very professional and responsible! Showed up on time to replace water heater and did a clean job to remove abandoned water boiler for floor radiant heat and even the stand. They also found that the main water regulator was broken and the pressure was way too high. Then they help me fix it with new regulator. The second day, one of the toilet fill valve stopped working due to the metal debris from the old pipe, Jose was so kind to take time cleaning it for me without charge. I would definitely recommend their business!

We had to replace old pipe that ran a very long span under pavement with new and larger diameter pipe. They did a fantastic job at tunneling under ground and tieing into the existing domestic system. No leaks at all and it was hard to tell they had even been here when they finished. Very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Jose and his crew were great! We needed our 75-year-old sewer line replaced: I got an estimate within a day or two of requesting one, and he caught a problem with the original installation that other contractors had missed in their inspection. Jose and his crew did the work as promised and cleaned up the site every day---spotless! We had a small tree that was growing near the line which they managed to save, which we didn't think was going to be possible, and they managed to dig a huge hole in our tiny front yard without a lot of impact to our other landscaping.

I highly recommend Pipe-Thru, they were so easy to deal with and completely professional all the way and they charged a fair and reasonable price for the work. I will definitely call them when I have any other underground piping issues--including installing electrical conduit to our backyard shed, which we want to do in the future. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Quick response and solved my issue with garbage disposer. Highly recommend Jose for your plumbing projects. No fuss and very thourough. It's great that we didn't have to replace it. I must have dropped a screw in the sink when we painted the cabinets. He found it, pulled it out and apparently we have at least another year with this one.

I've done 2 projects (one immediately after another) w/ these guys. I'm going to make 2 reviews here.

Overall, Pipe-Thru did a good job on both projects. They also cleaned up (mostly) after they are done. They also finished on time. There were a couple of minor issues that they could improve on. The cost was competitive.


First project.

The sewer pipes underneath my house are all cast-iron. Many of them are corroded and have been acting up lately. I've gone through a couple of other plumbing shops, and both of them shown videos of how bad the pipes were. I've then decided to replace all the sewer lines underneath the house.

Jose's quote for the job was more competitive than the others. Based on Yelp review, we chose Jose's Pipe-Thru. One caution, Pipe-Thru tends to be very busy.

On the scheduled date, the crew showed up early, did a good job, and finished on time, as promised. I did not go into the crawl space to check. Looking through the crawl space openings, looked like they did a good job.
They also cleaned out all the old pipes.

On minor negative is that between the 1st and 2nd job, they have to put a temporary pipe between the new pipes and the old pipe between property foundation and the street. This temporary pipe was not sealed/tied-down in anyway. So the sewer was leaking between the 1st and 2nd job. They could have done a better job w/ this temporary pipe.


Second project.

We also wanted to replace the sewer pipe between the property foundation and the street, also adding two clean-outs at the two ends of this replacement pipe. We chose Pipe-Thru for this job as well, to be done the next day after the first project.

Again, on the scheduled date, the crew showed up early, did a good job, and finished on time, as promised. The technology that they used was pretty interesting. It prevented from digging a long trench from the property foundation through the front yard. I now appreciate what ""pipe-thru"" means.

The city needs to inspect this 2nd project. It was scheduled more than a week after Pipe-Thru put in the new pipe. On the scheduled inspection date, Jose showed up before the inspector and prepared everything. The inspection went through smoothly. On the next day, Pipe-Thru showed up and completed all the loose ends.


Overall, Pipe-Thru did a good job on both projects. They also cleaned up (mostly) after they are done. They also finished on time. There were a couple of minor issues that they could improve on. The cost was competitive.


A minor minus point here:

After I've made the final payment, I'm still waiting for my final receipt (usually email), after 2 days. I'm also still waiting for an email/text/phone-call from Jose about an issue that he discovered during the inspection.

Called to get an estimate and Jose came out within an hour. Turns out the problem is an issue they don't work on, but he was good enough to spend time searching for the cause of the low-water pressure and gave me a recommendation for someone who does the type of work I'll need.
Extremely courteous and helpful. I will definitely keep them in mind for future work.
