Had an issue with plumbing, sent Larry through AHS, he called said he was 8 miles away, shows up an hour later, took 5 minutes to tell me it must be my roof vent and it wasn't covered, he was dismissive of me telling him the actual issue, needs a snake, probably roots. When I asked what work they do actually do and if they would be the company to replace the toilet, he impatiently said could do it if I wanted him to spread poo all over my floors, very smarty pants rude!! It took me 46 dollars to rent a snake for roots less than 5 feet in and buy a new toilet and install myself, clean my already cleaned not clogged roof vent, all in less time than the waiting around for this guy and to include the heartache of knowing this company is full of it and simply scamming people to get that service fee. No bueno at all, very bad experience, don't treat people like they don't know anything, it's plumbing, not rocket science!!

I contacted Pipe Down through AHS to look at 2 stoppages in my newly bought home. One plumber showed up, Blaine. And we when he first got to my house, he came in with a horrible attitude, like the fact that he would have to do his job was a huge inconvenience to him. He then proceeded to tell me how my house was a plumbing nightmare and likened my home to the movie "The Money Pit" with Tom Hanks. He spent the entire time there mumbling under his breath, and grumbling about the work that had to be done. He then berated me for 30 minutes about how he thought I was not a homeowner but that my intentions were for him to come in and fix my plumbing so that I could flip my home for a profit. THIS IS MY DREAM HOME, that I worked my butt off to get!! He did absolutely NOTHING from the second he got there, except for belittle my house and my decision for buying it. When he finally left, I still did not have working sinks. I felt hopeless and really upset. I got a call an hour later claiming that from his report, there was about $1200 worth of repairs that would not be covered by AHS and I would have to pay for. I immediately called our Rep and got an appointment for another plumbing company to come out for a second opinion. The next day, the other company came out with great attitudes, and DID THE WORK. They unclogged the kitchen sink and gave me a better answer and solution for the repairs to the laundry room, and it took them less then an hour!!!! They asked who came out the day before, and their response was, "That place is a joke. We get so many complaints about them. And the guy who came out yesterday... worthless." OBVIOUSLY!!!

After taking a bit of effort to get it scheduled, Larry came out after being assigned by AHS. He arrived promptly and thoroughly fixed two leaky toilets. Very polite, professional, and careful to be neat and clean. I very much appreciate his good work! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is because I had to leave so many messages before getting called back to schedule. Everything after that was 5 stars.

I love these guys, replacing two water heaters can never leave you happy as you are coughing up considerable chunk of money and you just got off a very negative call with your appliance warranty company, where they refuse to pay for anything but just a low quality water heater. I decided to have both heaters replaced, paid for one installation completely out of my pocket and for other paid for plumbing and new equipment required cause code/compliance changed in last 15 years. The way Pipe Down service and specially technicians John Nunn and Larry handled the job, I was more than pleased, I dont look forward to getting any more plumbing services scheduled, but if I have to go through any such miserable event, I know Pipe Down and these two gentlemen will make that event as positive as possible.
They are on time, courteous, professional, wont nickel & dime you, will give you great quote and service.

i would never recommend this company for repairs on anything.
They came out to look at a compliant about our hot water heater not heating the water. He opened the door to the heater and looked at it said that since it wasn't leaking it wasn't anything that he could do. It probably needed to be drained and that we should service the heater every 6 months which we do. He was rude and disrespectful. He told us that if we had called in a plumbing call he could have checked the facets but would not put it in writing so American Home Shield would cover it. He stated I came out to look at he water heater and that's all i will put in the report.
If you want good respectful service than dont ever call on this company.

Pipe Down sent out Larry to view our busted water heater on a contract with American Home Shield. He was prompt, polite, and efficient. He explained things in lay terms until I told him I was in the water industry before becoming a SAHM, then he switched to professional terminology. The repair required a permit and a new heater. The appointment was set on the estimated time line and at the quoted price. Larry was again polite, friendly, and efficient. The inspector just left our house and remarked how easy it is for him to do his job right when the plumber does such good work. We're very happy.

We had this company come out to my 75 year old moms house, the guy Blaine walked into the house with little introduction. He at first started to try and work on the kitchen faucet, even thou his work order called for the laundry room sink to be looked at. he said nothing was wrong with it, my mom informed him that when he was out last time, he said a gasket needed to be replaced, he said he didn't fix it the last time because he didn't have any with him. She proceeded to turn the water on to show him the leak, after some hesitation he worked on it. The 2nd room was a bathroom, the tub overflow was leaking on the side of the house, He said "I'M NOT Masonry" I don't' do that work. She again asked him to test the water and he would not. I do not appreciate how my mom was treated, the guy is being paid a service fee to complete work and make an assessment. My mom wasn't sure she wanted to paid since he didn't do all of the work. He said that's fine I will get paid anyways they will just bill you. He left with little work completed. When we called to complain they gave no empathy to the situation and said we don't do that work, so we are not even gonna look at.

Pipe Down advised me over the phone, sight unseen, through my American Home Shield service contract that I almost certainly had a foundation leak because there would not be water pipe on the side of the house where water was leaking next to the house. Foundation leak! Can you imagine how that freaked me out. Many thousands of dollars drilling holes inside my house in my foundation to find it, etc. I called another plumber who assured me I had pipe running on that side of the house and he dug a hole and quickly found the leak under a shrub. Eric Stolle Plumbing in Round Rock found the leak, fixed it quickly at a fair price.

I have never written a yelp review for anyone prior to this but I am mad enough to do so now. This company contracts with American Home Shield home warranty company. We placed a service call to AHS which we ended up canceling. Pipe Down billed the home warranty company and now we are being held hostage for the service call that they NEVER made!!

AHS Contracted this company for our plumbing concern that fell under our warranty. Larry had a arrival window in the morning which he confirmed. Then he called me when he was on the way to our home. He arrived exactly on time. Diagnose the problem fixed the problem while being professional and courteous at the same time. He's an excellent asset to this company. Hopefully they are aware of his value. Because excellence is hard to come by.
