American Home Shield sent them out to unclog a toilet, shower, and 2 sinks. They unclogged the sinks but not the toilet or shower. When I tried to get them back out to unclog the toilet and shower, they refused. I tried to get AHS to send them back out, and they refused again. Their serviceman was polite and informative, but their schedulers are ruthless and will refuse service.

If you're hiring them yourself, they might be fine (though expensive). But if you're getting them through American Home Shield, consider yourself warned.

This company was sent out by American Home Shield. They were sent to replace my water heater. They said they could not replace without tearing out my wall and door frame of the closet where the old heater was in. They would not listen to me when i told them that other plumbers said there was no need to do that to replace. I ended up just taking the payout from Home Shield and getting my own plumber to replace. No wall needed to be taken out. Pipe Down is not a good company.

The guy that showed up (Blaine) was very rude. I do not recommend this company. I am a single mom and school teacher who was very stressed out over my water heater having a gas leak. He was hateful from the start. He came though American Home shield (who never help to cover anything it seems) and told me nothing was up to code. EVERYTHING had to be replaced. All I needed was for him to light the water heater to check it. BUT.... I do understand he has to abide by the laws and get it up to code. He was just a complete jerk about the entire thing! I would ask a question and he seemed irritated and told me to call AHS or to call their secretary. Not a nice guy in my opinion! I see Blaine has other comments about his terrible attitude, so I must not be alone feeling this way.

Larry was awesome in getting our PRV replaced quickly. Susan was very helpful with getting a follow up appointment set up after we found out we didn't dig the hole around the correct valve. I appreciate their professionalism and quick response especially since a different AHS vendor had been out the day before and did not even attempt to fix the PRV even though I told him that it what the issue was. Thank you to Pipe Down Services for a great experience!

This is a complete joke of a company. Look elsewhere! From the service technician, to the manager Susan, and owner Randy, everyone is completely rude and unprofessional. I was yelled at, lied to, and told by the owner to "take your sh*tty business elsewhere". I can't believe a service company with this bad of customer service even exists in a day and age where reputation and the customer experience is everything. I am shocked. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 5 mins looking for a more professional and reputable company online. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Possibly dishonest, definitely did not want to work with me. I was referred to Pipe Down Services from my home warranty over a broken water heater. The company told me that the opening where my water heater was kept was too small for the newest models of water heater, and that we would have to widen the doorway (a multi-hundred dollar, to thousand dollar out of pocket expense for us). We worked out a deal with AHS to have them install a smaller water heater, but Pipe Down refused to go that route, and wanted to charge us for every instance they came out, waited for the carpenter to fix things etc. So...I called another company, Texas Water Heaters, and they came out within 3 days from the call and installed a new water heater, no fuss, no extra fees, nothing. Meanwhile I had been trying to work with Pipe Down for 3 months and they kept jerking me around - dishonest company, will push you for more money, and will tell you things need to be updated that don't need to be. (Texas Water Heaters installed a 50 gallon tank inside the closet without it needing to be "widened") I would never use this company again or recommend this company to anyone. Go to Texas Water Heaters instead.

I had an issue with my toilet and wasn't sure what it was going to cost, so I used my American Home Shield service to get it looked at and taken care of. They sent Larry from Pipe Down to take a look.

Everything was handled well. I was a little bit worried from previous reviews but I had no problems. Because the toilet is pretty old, and it had a power flusher that has become obsolete, they recommended replacing the toilet.

Now I await the approval of AHS to get a replacement, which should go through Pipe Down for installation. I expect things to go as smoothly for this part, and if you here is something that goes awry I will make sure to update my review.

I tend not to post reviews unless I feel that others should be aware of bad or good services but this plumbing company is Horrible!!!!
This plumbing company was sent to service our toilet from American Homeshield. They were called three times to fix the same leaking issue. If you get John as your service person RUN. He is rude, obnoxious and very unprofessional! The only reason they are getting one star is because they showed up within the 4 hour service time they predicted.

Sent by AHS. The tech didn't seem to want to take care of the issue. He attempted to rod out mainline and after a few minutes stated there is a blockage and there is nothing he could do. I'm like, isn't that what you do? His response is its not covered. No alternatives offered, I had to find another company that rodded it with no issues.

Worst company. Got assigned through American Home Shield and they cancelled the work order without even going out. They said they couldnt contact the tenant. Its hard to do so when you dont have the number. As I am a property manager when you get assigned a work order you call for tenant information or just call us and tell us when you are going out and we will coordinate. Very rude and unprofessional. We have made it a policy to never use them again, we are forced to call (not use the website) AHS to insure they assign anyone but Pipe Down. Liars and Crooks! We have other stories about them which led to this review but my time is short. Trust me, just dont use them.
