We had a great experience with Edgar and the crew; we dealt with Edgar on the phone and by email to set up an appointment to install an automatic shutoff valve for our gas line (after the recent quake, can't be too careful!) Edgar responded quickly to both phone messages and emails, told us what we'd need to have installed to reach the goals we wanted, and then arranged for a crew to come out and take care of it within a few days. When the crew came out, they did the work quickly, cleaned up when they were done and even came inside to relight our pilot light without being asked! Will definitely use Pipe Arts again the next time we have a plumbing job to do. We've worked with a lot of contractors in the last year and they are great.

Edgar is top notch in every way. He has been over here for at least three jobs, and though busy always tries to help when there is an urgent matter. It's Sunday night and Edgar is here replacing my old, broken water heater. His work is stellar and he is always so professional. Thank you Edgar, you are a treasure!

Edgar is a meticulous craftsman. The tankless water heater installation he and his assistant did for me yesterday is a work of art. Of the six contractors I had bid on the job, he was the most reasonably priced while also understanding better than the others the particular challenges of my situation.

Edgar was fantastic.
He showed me how the last guy didn't even sweat the pipe all the way around. He wasn't being a jerk about it, just a heads up, this is what I found kinda thing. He was clean and efficient with his time. He had everything he needed on his truck so I wasn't paying him to go shopping which was a real savings. I don't know whether other guys just can't organize themselves or don't want a closed truck, or can't keep thieves out of it but I;m tired of paying massive amounts of money because they forgot something the first time. There's this special word called inventory that so many plumbers don't seem to have to heard of.
He was easy company, easy to work next to. He wasn't running his mouth about whatever or trying to jolly me along with patter to distract me from either paying attention to what he was doing or what I was doing.
You can tell when a guy has his trade dialed in and Edgar is a real master journeyman. He's easily worth every penny. You aren't going to get mickey moused around like some plumbers I know will do you, and you are going to get the job done right.
He's my favorite plumber.

Pipe Arts Plumbing solved a difficult problem and saved a ton of money for us. Edgar was the fourth plumber to tackle our low hot water pressure issue.
The first company (also highly recommended on Yelp) flushed the lines, but then recommended replacing our 6 year old water heater when the flushing did not have the desired effect. After reviewing the water heater manual, I opted for a second opinion. The second plumber noted differences in pipe diameters in our system and recommended another round of re-piping. The 3rd plumber arrived on a Friday afternoon and told us that he didn't do troubleshooting, but had a friend (another company ) that could. I had selected this third company on the basis of specific reviews in Yelp with solutions to issues like ours.
I then called Pipe Arts in some desperation, as it was now late afternoon on Friday, and I faced the specter of a weekend without hot water. Edgar showed up after hours and fixed the problem in less than one hour. The cause of the problem was a stuck/clogged backflush valve which is not noted in the manual and takes a special trick to remove. Edgar's expertise saved us the cost of a brand new water heater, which is working fine now. I also would like to commend him on his web page- best plumbing jokes I've ever heard! I will call him first for any future plumbing needs.

pipe arts plumbing completed a bathroom remodel for me that consisted of the following: moving a sink and toilet to a different spot in the space, converting a tub into a shower ... The work was completed for the price quoted and within schedule, he s a pleasure to deal with and he does things right the first time in a very efficient manner . when the inspector came to our hose he has full of complements about Edgar's work and rightfully so..... He is not the cheapest in town but he s worth every penny. I will would recommend him to anyone .

I cannot say enough good things about the work Edgar and his assistant have done! My wife and I just bought a home that needed some plumbing work. Edgar was easy to get in touch with and came out to fix one smaller item (replacement of an S-trap with a P-trap under the kitchen sink) and to give us an estimate on the rest of what needed to be done. His work the first time was excellent, and he just finished the second, larger job of installing a new toilet, replacing a faucet, and getting our water heater up to the standards of the city inspector. All of the work was done in a timely fashion, with care and attention to detail. Where there were items that came up that weren't in the initial scope of the estimate, he informed me of what the issue was and the additional time and parts needed - and he had all the parts on hand. I'm certainly not looking forward to my next plumbing issue, but at least I know who I'll be calling!

Edgar has been out to my house four times in the last year: once to troubleshoot a toilet, once to fix a tenant-discovered leak while I was on vacation, once to install a dishwasher, and today to install a hot water heater. I'm a retired general contractor and have been around more than a fair share of incompetent tradespeople. This guy, Edgar, knows his shit. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with. 5 stars all the way.

Edgar is the real deal. He installed a new tankless hot water heater for us last week, and we could not be happier with his professionalism and his craftsmanship. We called 5 plumbers and he had the fairest price of all. He even managed to get us an upgraded model for the same price that he quoted us originally. And his invoice was exactly what he estimated on the bid (what a treat)! His demeanor is very calm and reassuring...we've had some people come to the house that have really stressed us out about the condition of our old pipes, etc. (our house was built in the 1920s), but to Edgar, everything is doable. Look no further if you're looking for a great plumber.

Edgar is punctual, knowledgeable and skilled in his work. He is honest and reliable. His price is reasonable. I am so grateful for his help. Thanks Edgar!
