I am a realtor and had a closing coming up and needed some emergency plumbing work done in Hobe Sound. I called Pioneer Plumbing based on Yelp reviews and spoke with John (the owner of the company). He went by the home and quickly sent me a detailed quote, he then squeezed the job into his schedule and completed it as detailed with care in diligence! We were able to close on time and everyone was pleased/happy. I would absolutely refer him to anyone looking for a quality plumber who truly cares about the work he's putting out! Pioneer Plumbing of Stuart's ad says it all. Called them when in need and they responded promptly. Professionally fixed my issues at very near the estimated cost. Felt it was a great professionally job done at a good value. I never came close to feeling ripped off as I have dealing with other plumbers. I highly recommend them to family and friends knowing I'm doing them a favor by making the recommendation. They do good work at a very fair price!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! My 66 year old mother hired them to do a hot water heater replacement. When the owner operator arrived, the new tank came out of the Box damaged. The tank needed to be returned and exchanged for a new tank. However the plumber asked my mother to let him install it anyway stating, """"maybe it will work"""". Anyone who buys a new hot water tank would not want a tank that wasn't in perfect condition right? Well after speaking to this gentleman, my mother asked what she owed for the removal of the old tank, which he stated $250. She gave him her card to charge her. When he left she realized he had charged her for 700 dollars and not 250! She called and asked why, where he stated he was charging her for work not yet completed which she was not comfortable with and never agreed to. She asked him to cancel that payment and he refused. Then he told her he was coming back, which again she asked him not to do. He ignored her request and returned with his wife. Then proceeded to get in her face and try to intimidate her by pointing in her face and yelling. When she told him she would not pay the full amount, he then threatened to cut her water supply!!! She then said in front of several neighbors that she was going to call the police and he left. I then called the guy and said look. She does not feel comfortable or safe having you come back to do any work. She will pay you for the 250 that she owes you. He then told me she doesn't owe 250, she owes $383!!!! I told him that was not what he had said earlier which he swore at me, I swore back and he then hung up. I then advised my mother to stop payment, and file a report with the police so the incident would go on record. This guys actions were so unprofessional, unethical and illegal!!! At no point should a contractor ever threaten a customer for any reason. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SHADY AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED!
