Great local business. They are there when you need them.True professionals that don't give you the run around. Nice people too. I highly recommend Pinky's, they are 5+ stars in my book.

All I can say is BEWARE. This company will rip you off. They will tell you one thing on the phone and when they show up it is something totally different. They will tell you there is a $49.00 charge to come out and if they do the work they will deduct it from the final bill. However, they don't tell you that they are going to charge you $42.50 for truck operations. They came out to hook up a gas stove (the gas line was already there so all they had to do was hook up the new stove) and the final bill was over $500.00 then they give you a so called discount which brought the bill down to $405.00 including the $42.50 fee for truck operations. What a rip off. I will never use this company again and I will let everyone know not to use them.

Came to the house and snaked the main line to the septic tank. Cleared the line but my baffel is obstructed, so a 3ft hole has to be digged up to expose it. But the plumbers were very thorough about their job.

They were extremely quick and efficient with finding and solving my problem. Amazing customer service. I had a plumbing issue, called 4 places and Pinkeys plumbing by far was the best in efficiency, customer service and most importantly solved my problem extremely fast. Highly recommended. Based on my experience calling a few places I felt the most comfortable and confident here with Pinkeys Plumbing. In the end I am very satisfied and definitely give them 5 stars!

Pinky's Plumbing came highly recommended by another plumber (who was on vacation) in my area. Mike and his team came exactly on time and stayed until past midnight (on a weekend) to make sure I had usable toilets in my home that visit. Mike kept me updated and they were very up front about their costs. They dealt with out of town husbands, warranty companies and realtors on the phone as well as continuing to work hard to get me up and running. They even had a vacuum crew at my house to clean up underneath at 11 pm. They came back exactly on time to clean up on Monday morning. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate their hard work.

I wish I would have read the reviews on Yelp for Pinky's Plumbing before selecting them for my project. Hopefully my review will keep someone else from making the same mistake.

Pinky's does a few things well, but the positives are far outweighed by the negatives.

THE GOOD:

Pinky's Plumbing responded promptly to my request to replace a strainer basket for my kitchen sink. The work was scheduled for the next day. The plumber notified me in advance when he would arrive and was professional and courteous throughout the installation. In addition to replacing the basket, I agreed to have the other outdated plumbing under the sink replaced and brought up to code. The plumber also informed me my garbage disposal was leaking.

THE BAD:

1) Pinky's rates are ridiculously high. I approved the charges for replacing the basket and pipes since I was in a hurry and did not get other estimates, but this work cost over $500 for less than an hour on-site, and with minimal parts required. As another data point, they quoted me $349 to replace the garbage disposal, and another $800-900 if I bought the garbage disposal through them. Fortunately, I found an excellent 3/4 HP garbage disposal on Amazon for $150, and I selected the Amazon installation service which was $129 and was a great experience. For reference, this is about a half hour job.

2) Pinky's added a charge of $42.50 for Truck Operations without disclosing this fee to me; it is itemized on the invoice, but was never mentioned as part of the estimate or final paperwork. The charge was simply added to the subtotal on the invoice and I mistakenly signed it without noticing or checking the math. This brought the repair total to over $550. Earlier I had inquired if the only two charges would be for the basket replacement and pipe replacement, and I was informed these would be the only charges.

3) Pinky's does not provide free estimates. I knew this in advance, but I didn't realize that many other plumbers do provide free estimates. If I would have not agreed to pay $500 for repairs (or $337 for the basket replacement, supposedly discounted off their standard $415 rate), I would have still had to pay $50 for the estimate which pressured me into making an irrational decision to approve the overpriced repair work.

4) Without my knowledge or approval, Pinky's installed a replacement strainer basket that has their company name etched into the stainless steel. This free advertising seems incredibly tacky and sneaky, and now serves as a constant reminder of how much I regret doing business with this company every time I use the sink.

5) After my service, I reached out to Pinky's repeatedly to express my concerns and give them a chance to make this right, but they did not even provide me the courtesy of a reply.

My husband and I have used Pinky's twice. The first time was to reseat a toilet that the another licensed plumber did incorrectly. The second was to unclog the kitchen drain. After snaking the sink drain, the plumber, who came with an apprentice, told us that he hit something that was grinding the snake about 4 feet down. He told us he was calling the camera technician.

The camera tech arrived within the hour and told us that they needed to dig in the rockery and yard outside the kitchen wall. There was talk of a backhoe and the work sounded very complicated and time consuming. He wrote a bid for $3,600-, including tax. I foolishly signed the paper, assuming that that would be the max price (a bid), unless we agreed to do more work.

The apprentice did most of the digging by hand, no backhoe needed, and the plumber helped when a rock was too heavy to easily handle. As I recall, from the time the guys originally arrived to the time they left. they were here for about 6-1/2 hours and actively working on digging and replacing approximately 7 feet of drain pipe for maybe 4 hours (?). Shocked when the camera guy returned and handed me the bill for $3,600-, I paid. The next day I called because I misunderstood the bill, thinking that they hadn't credited me, as they said they would, for snaking the sink earlier that day.

When I realized that the total bill was $3,600 with the credit. I expressed disappointment and shock that they charged us so much for the work (with no special, expensive equipment or multiple days worth of work, other than a drill, maybe a shovel and muscle). In the past 6 months, our entire home was re-plumbed and rewired and gutted to the studs, Pinky's pricing is easily triple what it should be in comparison to anything we have experienced. Never mind that I am an interior designer who specializes in home renovations.

Last night while eating dinner with a contractor friend, we shared our experience. He told us that that bill was ""criminal"" and that the ""camera tech"" who worked the bill up was on commission, which was my gut sense, based on his used car salesman-like tactics.

In addition to the above, the office woman was stonewalling us. When I called to sort things out the first time, she told me she would talk to someone about my inquiry and call me right back, she never called back. Besides being difficult, she was cold (kept calling me Ma'am in a dry tone) and was in no way service oriented, except when we wanted to make the appointment. When I called back to get to the bottom of things, she told me that there was no one I could talk to as she was only a dispatcher and there was no accounting person. After numerous calls from both my husband and me, I was able to speak to the camera tech. He went from being charming and familiar when he was in my home, to becoming condescending, in addition to calling me Ma'am, as the dispatcher had done. He told me he'd see if he could give me a credit and promised to call back within ""5 to 10 minutes"", we never heard from him again.

We feel sick thinking of how Pinkys/the camera tech took advantage of us and when challenged, they threw it back on us by asking, ""Did you not sign the paper?"". I feel offended every time I recall the camera tech telling me, ""You would not question a lawyer's fees"". Huh??? He also asked me if the drain worked and told me that since it did, I should be happy. Again, Huh??! I responded by telling him ""That is like telling me that if I bought a Honda and paid for a Mercedes I should be happy"".

Bottom line, we feel stolen from and abused.

Alex and Michael from Pinky's Plumbing were wonderful to work with today. They arrived early, gave me a full price for the proposed work up front, completed everything early, and even offered additional insight on future possible projects. I really appreciated how communicative and informative they were; they answered my questions in a digestible, transferrable way. Their work was thorough and tidy. We couldn't recommend them more!

We had a leak in our waste pipe from our kitchen sink. We found the leak and it was exposed in our bedroom downstairs. I had sent out a Facebook request for a recommendation from our neighbors and received one for Pinky's. I did not get bids from other companies at the time, but I wish I had. The technician was pleasant and did fix our leak. However, after I received the bill for 1 hour of work for $771.66, I was shocked. After speaking with several other companies, it sounds like we were extremely overcharged. I would have liked to recommend them to our friends in the area, as the work was done well and in a very timely manner, but the cost was extremely exorbitant.
