Called Pink for a leaking kitchen sink drain. Yellow unmarked truck came, and guys said Pink was now Ritz. They claimed that we needed to pay $850 for an entirely new faucet or we'd face a dangerous condition. Called my home warranty company and they sent a plumber. The fix was a $10 hose that the guy through in for free. These guys were scheming to scam. not cool!
Larry T.please read as many reviews before me that start as: avoid and beware !!!
pinks is now run by rip off artists... totally panicked my wife into a $1000 must need now emergency repair.. and then a 8000.00 sewer fix..
John G.This is NOT the Pink Plumbing I used to know and love. Please read all of this to understand the depth of the situation I experienced.
Pink's would handle my main property as well as a rental property. They were so good I could have them call the tenants and make an appointment, I would pre approve their work because I TRUSTED them and they would send me a bill.
Recently, I needed a few leaky faucets fixed at my principle residence, so I called them. They were a no show for the entire day on both the appointed times. (Appointment reset when they didn't show the 1st two hour block)
I knew something was up. They came the next day, almost on time, and the tech was pleasant enough. After he looked over the problems he called his boss to get a quote.
Take a seat, this is where it gets good. $450 to fix the dripping faucet #1. And an additional $350 to power clear the slow drain. The shower dripping would be another almost $200. That's a THOUSAND dollars to fix simple dripping faucets and fix a simple clog.
I sent them on their way without doing any work, (they're now known as Ritz Plumbing).
I take the handle off the hot water handle (one screw) pull out the spicket or whatever it's called, with a simple turn of a wrench, go to Home Depot and luckily find the one I needed for $8.98 and within a few minutes put it in place tightened it up.
As for the slow drain, I got a $2.98 plastic thing with little prongs on it that pulled the hair and gunk out of the pipe. I had to do that from the bottom U joint and I did have a friend help, and paid him a few bucks but basically for about 75 bucks (that's including parts) it's done.
Moral of this story, these guys are NOT honest and do NOT deserve your business. I have a friend with 3 properties which he's pulled ALL of them from Pinks.
BEWARE, they'll try to reach into your pockets and cheat you if you let them. Go somewhere else.
John K.BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!
Pink Plumbing was a great company and I used them for decades. But now that they are a Ritz family things have drastically changed for the worse. They over charged to replace valve stem washers, and tried to get me for $7500 in sewer line repairs that, according to two other respectable and honest plumbers, were city sewer connections, and a total SCAM!
Jennifer T.We used Pinks since the day we bought our home about 15 years ago, on referral from a neighbor. We always found them to be honest and hard working. Now it's been purchased by another company and it feels very corporate and very expensive....they try to sell us services we don't need. We won't be calling them again...sadly we have to find a new company. Can someone post how we can all get in touch with some of the plumbers that have maybe left Pink and works elsewhere???
doug l.Now owned by Ritz plumbing and now a great company is run by crooks. They'll lie to your face about what work needs to be done. They almost got me for $10,000 for some sewer work. I got a couple more opinions/estimates and they all said the same thing. The work did not need to be done and the work that was required would only cost about $3000-$4000. As a business owner myself I tend to stay away for reviewing businesses as everyone can have a bad day or different experiences, but when things like this happen, people need to be warned .
Watch out! Avoid at all costs. For over 20 years we relied upon Pink's Plumbing and were very happy with them. But THAT Pink's Plumbing is no longer, now that Ralph retired and these new Ritz people bought the company. They are TERRIBLE. Not only unpleasant and uncaring but also INCOMPETENT and not really honest. It's unbelievable to me that they would buy Pink's Plumbing and then squander the terrific reputation built up over all these years. They came out, botched the job, wrongly diagnosed a problem, and caused us to have to call other plumbers and spend a total of $500 that we wouldn't have had to spend, if not for Pink's mis-managing the job. They're terrible, unresponsive and uncaring and actually incompetent. They actually don't even merit the one star; they merit a negative five star.
Our company has used Pink Plumbing for years and we loved it. Now that it has been bought out, it now has the worst service ever! They came out to fix something in the restroom and broke something else and didn't tell me about it, but he did charge us right away. I have been calling Pink Plumbing for almost three weeks now to have someone come out and fix what they broke, and they have just been giving me the run around. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE THIS PLUMBING COMPANY! It's so sad how such a good trustworthy company went to waste.
Steven H.I had a great experience with Pink Plumbing (now Ritz) I was replacing a kitchen faucet and the copper piping was damaged during the installation.
Alex M. was incredibly helpful and efficient. He diagnosed the issue within a few minutes and gave me a fair estimate. The work was professional and fast.
I'd use these guys again. Alex M. knows what he's doing and you can trust he'll do precisely what's needed.
Despite their name, this is no longer Pink Plumbing. Beware, one guy came over and made the problem worse. On another job, the same guy showed up (despite our request that he not work here). His pricing estimate seemed random and he immediately attempted to get us to do work we didn't feel was necessary. Pink always did good and prompt work. Unfortunately, we no longer trust this company.
