Truly frustrated and disappointed in this place. I was referred by DTE, but let me tell you I would NEVER use this company again, and I wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy. I had an appointment scheduled and no one called me to let me know my time frame. So I called Phils and they told me they would be at my home between 1-5. They never showed up. Within the next 4 days I called multiple times and left a voicemail each time. No one has called me back. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I didn't even want to give them 1 star! We had them out to fix the plumbing in the bathroom and replace the fixtures. The fixtures they bought weren't compatible with the pipes that were there, but they still just left it. They replaced the pipes behind the wall and didn't secure them, so now our fixtures wiggle. We are currently waiting for them to come out and fix their mistake, and they are an hour late!

I had Phil's service tech out for a problem with my A/C. The first tech told me he had fixed it, but after a hot day we concluded it wasn't fixed. Called them back second time. A different guy showed up and seemed angry to even be there. After a brief (15 min) inspection he concluded that the electrical on my A/C was too difficult to comprehend and that I should be buying a new one. I may have to buy a new unit, but it won't be from these guys.

I was concerned with Phil's as the reviews looked rough but they were the preferred DTE warranty vendor. My tech (Chris) called me 30 minutes before he arrived and showed up on time. He did a great job fixing my water heater in under 30 minutes and gave me a few tips on how to increase my furnace life. Overall, I would definitely use these guys again.

A gas leak was to my mother's home was discovered on December 26, 2015. The gas to the home was turned off on that date. Arrangements were made with thiscompany for replacement of the leaking natural gas line. The repairman replaced the gas line at the cost of $1267.00 on December 28, 2015. Prior to leaving the job for the day Tony checked to ensure that the gas hot water heater, the gas-fired boiler, and the gas range/oven were operating. I called to his attention that there was a persistent natural gas odor in the home, specifically in the room that provided the crawl space access to the line he replaced. At that time the tecnician assured me that the residual gas odor was likely due to gas that had escaped when he removed the defective gas supply line. It was only days later that I noticed that he had left the utility room laundry sink soiled with the cement patch he had used to close the opening in the wall for passage of the replacement gas line.

The following day, December 29, 2015, a buyer's home inspector entered the home and detected the strong odor of natural gas. In great alarm I was notified of the situation and travelled to the home and immediately called Consumers Energy. Their inspection revealed a serious gas leak. They flagged the condition as HAZARDOUS.

I contacted this company on December 30, 2015 by telephone, and demanded an immediate emergency repair of this dangerous situation. The correction of the leak was made on that date. At the time of my telephone contact with a supervisor who identified himself as Tony, I requested that a manager contact me concerning a partial rebate of the fee we paid. To date, I have not received any notification from a manager concerning this matter, despite a follow-up telephone call and a letter with copies of the documents. I feel that compensation of a portion of the fee should be given to me as a fair reimbursement for leaving the home in a dangerous condition, the deplorable condition in which the utility room sink was left, for the anxiety over losing the sale of the home, and the additional time I spent overseeing a repair that was not done correctly.

I will avoid using this company in the future.

Horrible!!! unprofessional company! DO NOT USE THEM!
I received a quote from them on 8/22 for installation of a shower panel and tub faucets. The technician wrote a verified detailed quote. I was required to put half as a deposit to schedule the installation. on 8/31 they arrived and stated they needed more money because they under bided the job because they forgot to include an access panel. I informed them that on the bid it stated an access panel and it was included. After that they said they needed to reschedule for another technician to come put the access panel. Rescheduled and came back out and requested more money again.. I told them I wasn't paying more I signed and gave them money for the work that was on the estimate. They refused to do the work and left. As of 9/16 I haven't received my refund and every time I call the ""managers"" are in a meeting. I left several messages and not one call back!

Call only if you are very patient, have nothing to do and do not need your appliance fixed promptly. As I write this, I am on my 2nd appliance repair using these people (the only option DTE offers, unfortunately). They were supposed to be here 8-1. It is after 3. The first time we used them for a washer repair. It took them 5 visits, and the only reason it was ever fixed is that I insisted, after the 4th time, that they order the pump I had researched. The first four visits, they gave us half-baked diagnoses such as we were using too much soap (really? After 8 years using this washer, we are suddenly loading it up with too much soap?), there was a quarter stuck in the drain, etc. Plus, for each visit, my husband or I has to take a day off of work. The second repair was for our dishwasher. The diagnosis was a malfunctioning heating element. This was on July 28. The part is finally in, August 24. And the repair person has failed to show.

Avoid at all costs! Came out to write an estimate for a remodeling project. The appraiser had a list of items to be completed that he was to quote. After I paid half in advance and drove in from Chicago, 3 guys inclufong the appraiser showed up to tell me there was a miscommunication and that most of the services weren't included.

-I had to call them numerous times to get a quote
-one on the property they did the guy couldn't do plumbing or electrical and that wasn't included
-no explanation other than they had a miscommunication
-wanted $800 to paint a 300 square foot area

-PROCESSED MY PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY BUT THE ONLY DO REFUNDS ON THE 15TH OR 30TH OF THE FOLLOWING MONTH

DO NOT USE! Phil's Service sent out a tech for my parents heat being out, he was able to get it to work but told us to get space heaters because he thought it was going to go out again. ...of course it went out again.

They said they'd be here to fix it again and instead they keep delaying and delaying. My parents are senior citizens and shouldn't be treated this way - luckily my 88 year old Grandmother was able to go to my uncles.

Phil's Service is unreliable. USE SOMEONE ELSE.
