I had a wonderful experience with PhD Plumbing. Scheduling an appointment was easy and they were able to come out the very next day. Chris was very efficient and professional. He did an excellent job on repairing the piping that I had accidentally cut through, behind a wall. Their services came highly recommended to me by neighbors and various professionals around the Morgantown area.

We had a water leak emanating from an unknown location, going into our basement, and PhD plumbing responded as quickly as they could, they are super busy. They were able to come within two days, and did an awesome job of figuring out the source of the leak, so we were able to get it resolved (the source was the ice maker for our refrigerator, whenever the ice maker turned on, water was spouting out of the bottom, and the water was going into the ac vent, and down into the basement. He approached the problem in a very logical manner, and had it tracked down quickly. We were super happy with the call, which was reasonably priced.

This plumber literally saved my sanity!!!! I searched Yelp and contacted PhD plumbing because of their stellar reviews. I had been experiencing a loud fog horn noise in my walls for about a month anytime water was used. After several visits from the contracted plumbers through my home warranty I still had the problem. I live in townhouse row housing so I'm pretty sure my neighbors wanted to kill me. Add to this I have a two month old baby which requires a lot of water usage.

PhD got right back to my yelp message and offered to come diagnose the issue for free. Yes please! Fast forward and he knew immediately what was wrong, how to correct it and gave me a very fair bid. He fixed my problem Monday and was super quick about it. Best of all, I have had zero issues since. I highly recommend this business and will call them anytime I need a plumber without hesitation.

Very smooth transaction getting James to come out and replace my 12 yr old leaking home hot water heater. I called a few other places, one said they don't come out to where I live (13 miles from Morgantown) and another never called me back. I found him online and saw a positive review for him here on Yelp. I contacted him by phone, we followed up to schedule via email. He was prompt and courteous, let me watch and ask questions and answered them kindly, cleaned up everything, and now I have a new hot water heater working perfectly. I think his price was very reasonable. I would happily hire him again and recommend him to other folks looking for high quality professional plumbing service from a local company at a reasonable price.

If I could add another star, I would! James came out today and helped me in a pinch with some pipe issues. He was efficient, kind, reasonably priced, and perhaps most important, he really knew what he was doing and was willing to take the time to explain to me exactly why I was having issues and how I could even prevent it myself in the future. One of the things that impressed me the most was that he wasn't ""pushy"" and didn't try to scare me into any unnecessary purchases or take advantage of me because I'm a woman. He earns his title of his ""Ph.D."" - he definitely knows his stuff...and well enough that you will learn some things yourself in the process! When I moved to Morgantown, I went through my fair share of poor plumbers, and I had just about given up, thinking there just wasn't a really competent, honest one here in town. James is a saving grace! He is the only one I'll call in the future for any issues...my only concern is that he may book up quickly down the road. I have a feeling he will be the only one people will turn to here in town!
