P.H. Plumbing has been my go-to plumbing expert for more than 6 years. Paul is an All-Star -- fantastic to work with, extremely knowledgeable, very personable and does high-quality work. He clearly explains what's causing a particular problem and the options for fixing it. Paul has replaced my water heater, most faucets, various pipes and valves, and a toilet. He is the ONLY plumber I've ever worked with, who I didn't have to call to come back to fix a fix. I highly recommend P.H. Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

I am the do-it-myself type when I can and usually, YouTube is my go-to problem solver but this time it couldn't help with my upstairs toilet. I had also gone to the Kohler website and ""chatted"" with someone who gave me two, completely wrong suggestions. One, cost me$15 for a special plunger which proved useless, the other would've cost me a lot of money if I'd gone ahead and called a plumber to have the air vent cleaned out.
So, on the recommendation of a completely unbiased, trusted friend (who also happened to be his dad), I called Paul. He called me back the same day and came out the next.
He listen to the things I had already tried and zeroed in on what he suspected was the problem. He fixed it in about 10 minutes. I watched him and now I can do it myself next time. He also answered some other questions I had and only charged me his reasonable service charge. And for me to say reasonable is significant as I tend to be a wee bit conservative in my spending habits.
So, bottom line... Hire this fine young man!

Backgrd: We just moved into a new house where the seller did a lot of DIY plumbing. We picked PH Plumbing because we wanted to support local businesses and find a plumber willing to take the time to explain what the hell was going on with our 18 yo plumbing with DIY installed reverse osmosis filtration, old water softener, water heater, drip irrigation system on our patio, and bizarre plumbing that our home inspection said was not up to code. In addition, we knew we needed one new toilet, possibly 2 more. Paul (the 'P' in PH Plumbing) said he would be happy to do what we needed and was able to come out the next day. Paul was very upbeat and great at explaining how everything worked. I have listed all he did below in the 2 visits to the house so you know what services prompted this review. There was no pressure to purchase anything and he helped us understand the +/- of a new soft water system and reverse osmosis filtration systems. We will have him come back to do more work to bring the place up to code. Rates are reasonable and understanding how the plumbing works invaluable.
Services: 1) Removed existing toilet, angle stop and supply line and installed 1 new toilet with caulking at base. 2) Re-connected 2 other toilets that had been removed previously to install flooring; 2)Checked existing 18 yo soft water system and found it mechanically sound. Then did a soft water test. Learned that altho the unit looked like it was working it no longer actually softened the water so we will replace eventually. 3) Removed non functional Reverse Osmosis system and 4) re-established cold and hot water from kitchen sink tap (previously only provided hot water). 5) Installed water feedline for refrig 6) installed washer and dryer on second floor that had been disconnected to install new flooring. 7)identified water heater vent that was not installed per code and explained why and how fixing it was a good idea and 8) reviewed how he would fix DIY plumbing to drip irrigation system so copper tubing did not get hit each time patio door was opened. I recommend PH Plumbing without reservation.
