Our toilet needed servicing, I knew there were people we could call locally but wanted a company with valid licenses etc. to check on our water heater, permanent sump pumps, etc as well . Saw Petro van in front of us on the road & called- the owner Rich was very nice on the phone, setup the appt for us. Victor arrived (on time) , what an incredibly nice and professional man also , not only fixed the toilet (no need to buy new toilet) he allowed us to add on a house filter fix & said he could come back for adjustment needs regarding it . The charge is by the hour & the nice thing is we know the employees of this company know what they're doing, & are friendly to boot !

Excellent work and price installing a new water heater for me. Water heater started leaking in the middle of the night and Petro was there by mid day the next day replacing it. Would highly recommend.

Petro came to my home to unclog a toilet. Firstly, they did a horrible job, and scratched the inside of the bowl. When I told the person doing the job, it didn't look like the clog was fixed, I was told the drain was fine. The first time it was used after they left, the plumbing backed up and they refused to come back to re-do the job. I was told that there are no guarantees on clogs! How in the world, are you supposed to find out how a toilet is working immediately. Yes , they will come back for another fee. This is unsatisfactory to me, and I am going to rethink my oil delivery service from here on out. Petro is NOT one for plumbing and clogs. They do not stand behind their work.

We had a bid walkthrough. When I got his bid proposal there were several items missing that we clearly spoke about and i show him. So i call them about the missing scope of work. Unfortunately they never revised there proposal. Also and more importantly they want to charge me gas pressure test. I call Central Hudson about this and they stated in my case I dont need one.


Gas pressure test are only require if the gas has been turn off for two years or more. Clearly I felt I was being gouged

Fast, friendly, reasonable. These guys are reputable and cheerful. I highly recommend. They even educated me and gave me tips about my fancy new faucet.

I am new to this area, and Petro plumbing was highly recommended to me by friends. Expensive but good, they said. My experience with Petro was anything but good. I had a very simple job for them to do - hook up a bathroom sink, and fix a leaking tub drain. They showed up and did both. After they left, the tub drain was still leaking, but more alarming, there was a hole in my brand new wood floor in the master bedroom (they were working in master bath). I called the office and spoke with Donna, who I have since been told is the owner. It took her ONE MONTH and many phone calls to have someone come back and attend to these issues. The repairman was disinterested in my damaged floor and disrespectful. They took pictures of the damaged floor, but I am not hopeful. Petro has the worst customer service, and must be very busy, because they couldn't care less about my problem. Run, run fast, and call someone else. I would have given no stars if possible. Worst company ever.
