Lowes recommended Jeff Senecal Jr to come and take a look at a kitchen cabinet and counter install.  Jeff came and we discussed the job, he seemed like he knew what he was doing, and was a nice and professional young man.  He came at the agreed upon time and date to do the job and everything seemed fine at this point. I have been working from home during the COVID quarantine, so I was home when the work was being done, and Jeff would occasionally ask me for my input, but I could not pay complete attention to what he was doing. The house is old and about an inch out of level side to side. We already knew this and had discussed it at the consult, so when he asked me if he could shim the cabinets to make it work I didn't think anything of it and agreed.

When my girlfriend came home later that evening, we took a look at the work and found it not to our liking. The cabinets had been over shimmed placing the counter tops at 38"", rather than the industry standard of 36"".
I called Jeff immediately and raised our concerns, and he said that what he had done was the only way to make it work. I told him we could talk about it the following day in person when he returned at 2PM to complete the job. Jeff showed up at 10AM that next morning, unannounced. We looked at the work, I raised our concerns again, and he insisted he had done the only thing he could.  I asked if he would fix the work he had done so it was to our liking, and he declined saying that changing it would be ""doing bad work"" and that he would not be responsible for ""bad work"".
He then said that at that point he would just want to end the working relationship because he wasn't going to fix what we wanted, and we weren't going to accept his work. I agreed and he left.

I had given Jeff an $800 good faith payment the day before, and I called him shortly after informing my girlfriend of the mornings developments and said I would be canceling that check because he failed to do the job he was hired for.  He replied ""okay"" and we ended the conversation.
When I went to the bank to cancel the check, they informed me they could not because it had already been cashed/deposited. I contacted Jeff to tell him this, and that it would be up to him and I to work out a refund.  He has never responded to this request.

I am now out $800 for unacceptable work that I will have to fix myself, or pay more out of pocket to have someone fix. I would not recommend anyone patronizing this business. 0/10

Had Jeff install a boiler. He left fuel oil all over the floor that I cleaned up with cat litter. He had the new boiler set at 10 psi as shipped from the factory for testing. The psi should never be that high after installation and cause me major problems. One radiator kept filling with water and he said he needs to undo the radiator and look in the pipe for blockage... Come to find out it was wet steam do to the fact he never cleaned the system properly... Charged me $1,500.00 for 5 hrs for installing some pipping on returns... I ended having to hire a PROFESSIONAL to correct his sloppy work and fix all his mistakes. I have been in business for 18 years and have no idea how he stays in business. I would not recommend him AT ALL.
