Recommended Customer Reviews
Excellent service, impressed by the plumber's courtesy and efficient installation of commodes. Price was affordable, even less than the big box store. Very pleased with their company, would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.
Carol W.When our toilet broke, we needed to get it replaced as soon as possible. Peterson Plumbing had someone at my house within three hours. Excellent service. Quality work.
Catherine B.They came within 1 hour of my calling on one of their busiest days. Very polite and efficient. Highly recommended.
Bailey H.As an owner of several rental properties, I have had many experiences dealing with different plumbing company's. Unfortunately, not all of my previous experiences have been positive.
I am so incredibly pleased with Peterson Plumbing. Pleased and impressed.
I am a woman. I have had contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc. condescend to me and attempt to take advantage of me financially assuming I may be an easy mark.
Not so with Peterson Plumbing. I received a very fair bid with all aspects of the job explained. The work was completed as scheduled and on time. I was treated professionally and with respect.
I highly recommend Peterson Plumbing.
Thank you!
Travis A.-EDIT- They called me the next day and informed me that what the plummer said was wrong, and what I was told over the phone was right. They will credit me the remaining time (they said around 38 mins) towards the hookup of the new sink. I changed my rating from a 1 to a 4 -End Edit
They lied to me over the phone.
I had to have my sink disconnected and reconnected for a countertop install.
They said over the phone they would charge me 129 for an hour worth of work no matter how long it takes, and that they will add the time between both connecting and disconnecting. NOPE. Not only did they miss-scheduled my call, when the gentlemen did come, he took 5 mins disconnecting the sink, turned and looked me in the eye and said it would be 129. When I brought up the return visit he said that would be another 129. I told him about the conversation I had over the phone and he responded ""She should not have said that, I talked to her about that before"". I did not feel like fighting over the price, as they already lost my trust so I just paid the 129 and be done with it. BEWARE! Crazy stupid prices for little amount of work.
In spring of 2013, we made an appointment with Petersen to install a new bathroom faucet I'd bought and fix a leaking toilet. It was leaking from the tank down to the bowl. Two men showed up; the younger guy installed the faucet and it still works well, so I have no issue with that. The older guy told me the toilet leak would cost as much to fix as installing a new toilet, and he just happened to have a new American Standard on the truck that would work perfectly. Since the old toilet was less than 10 years old and had never had a problem until now, I called my husband for advice, and we decided to replace that Kohler toilet with the new one the plumber had. He installed the new toilet, hauled off the old one and the leaking issue seemed to have been fixed.
Then I noticed a crack in the tank several months later. I called Petersen, they sent a plumber out, who replaced the tank at no charge. All issues fixed it seemed.
Fast forward two years. I noticed the vinyl flooring in the bathroom was getting discolored areas. Then, when the light was right, I noticed the floor close to the toilet seemed to be developing a slight hump. As time went on, the hump seemed to expand and I pointed it out to my husband. The discolored areas also increased, so I reported an issue to our home warranty company. The plumber they sent out said the toilet was leaking at the base connection, and it had been leaking for SOME TIME. There was so much damage to the floor from the leaking toilet that he could not reset the toilet until the floor was fixed. We had to have the whole underlayment and vinyl replaced. Thankfully, the sub-floor was wet but not rotted, so after three days of running a fan on it, it was dry enough to proceed with the repair. It took a couple months for the contractor to come out and repair the floor, and a week for the sub-floor to dry, get patched and have the patch dry, and the new underlayment, vinyl and molding get installed. Altogether, we were without our main bathroom toilet for 3 months. Fortunately, we have a water closet off the utility room that we could use, but it is literally going from one side of the house to the opposite side and is really inconvenient in the middle of the night, especially for me as I am slightly disabled.
Due to the faulty installation of the toilet by the Petersen plumber, it has cost us over $600 to repair the floor, $98 for a new toilet, and three months of inconvenience because our main bathroom was not totally functioning. I am not calling Petersen Plumbing ever again.
Josh A.I called on Saturday afternoon and they came Monday morning, which was awesome. I was afraid I'd have to wait several days to fix one of my outdoor faucets.
The problem was diagnosed and fixed in about 30 minutes. The rate was affordable and the plumbers didn't make me feel like an idiot, which I really appreciate. Plumbing problems can be ridiculously stressful and I appreciate that they took their time to explain things to me without being condescending or rude. I'll definitely call them again if I have any plumbing problems!
In actuality we would not even give this company one star! Our GE 50 gal natural gas water heater (under warranty) began to leak - Surprise!
We purchased a compatible Rheem replacement and brought it to our home. As bad luck would have it (phone book choice - eenie, meenie, miney, mo) our finger fell on
Petersen Plumbing. The Peterson plumber arrived - but too bad, so sad, didn't have the correct hose on his truck. He was gone for 30 min - 1 hr before coming back.
Time was then ""wasted"" with what appeared to be much measuring, stalling, measuring, looking, contemplating - he seemed to be burning our dollars with
unnecessary, unprofessional time wasting a whole lot of endless calculating and re-calculating...
To us it seemed a straightforward installation but in actuality took what seemed like an extra-long time after which a bill of $486.20 was presented. Oh, don't forget
$25.00 for a tiny sticker which he said if we didn't buy a ""mean, bad man"" would
come and fine us $100.00 for not having it. We opted to install the two necessary earthquake bands and vents ourselves to stay within code. Another surprise happened a few days later when we received an additional bill of $178.71. We called the plumbing office very upset and were told we didn't need to pay it - we wondered why this extra bill if we didn't owe it.! When we choose Peterson Plumbing little did we know we would definitely remember the name - for all the wrong reasons! We would never, ever recommend this plumbing company!
I have used Petersen since 1987; that day they were the third plumbing company to be called and show up, and the only ones with the correct tools to fix a problem.
Move to Thanksgiving eve, 2014. I called them at 3:30 pm on Wed for an emergency. They were here in 1.5 hours, and stayed until almost midnight to get us working. Even the owner, 4th generation, showed up to help and stayed until the end.
I've never had a problem with them being late or not having the tools needed. I can't compare them to other companies because I won't use other companies.
They showed up right when they said and were very honest
they made sure they were solving the problem the right way and installed my hot water heater quickly. I have a new plumber
