We had been a customer of Jon's Plumbing & Heating until the were bought by Peterman. This was our first experience with Peterman - we started with a routine furnace checkup and then it indicated we needed repairs. The furnace was operational - just a few parts were getting old/worn and should be replaced to prevent any future failures. They came back out and did the repairs - and left the furnace non-functioning in the middle of a winter cold spell. They have not been responsive to getting someone back out here to fix the furnace and restore heat. The best they have been able to do is to ""look into seeing if something can be done.""

I called about three weeks ago for a quote on getting my garbage disposal fixed and having a shampoo bowl installed for personal use. I called them a week and a half later the receptionist was very rude to me on the phone. She never gave me a quote. She said she talked to the guy and he would get back to me. I still haven't heard from anybody on a quote for either job I paid $200 for nothing. They charged me almost $200 just for a quote that I never received I do not recommend this business at all!!! I am very dissatisfied that my money went to a quote that I never even got

I've used Peterman Plumbing numerous times over the years, and was surprised by a couple of the reviews.. so I wanted to chime in. I found the company to have people who truly cared about the quality of their work. The plumbing was immaculately neat, and the service people were always careful to clean-up after their work.
Here's something to consider. This company has been in business for decades.. and on the third generation of their family owning and operating it. It has their own family name on it. They wouldn't be here decades later if their work were poor...
I trust them.. and I know I can call Doug (Peterman) if I ever have a question or concern. I've even called them to ask for some self-help plumbing advice, and they've been kind enough to answer questions.
I have no problem trusting them! I've currently got a large commercial project (50,000 square foot building - 3 TV stations).. and I've already called Peterman Plumbing asking if they'd bid on it! You MUST have faith in a company when you are building a high tech facility for 140 people to use. When you have $9M worth of video equipment, you have to believe the quality of work will not result in a flood (since electronics and water don't ""play nice"". I equate Peterman Plumbing with two words: Quality and Trust!

Absolutely terrible!! My grandma is 90 years old and her hot water tank went out. They said they needed to convert it from gas to electric after 5 days they still haven't fixed it. My husband called to find out what was happening and the lady on the phone was very rude. After asking several questions she told him to install it himself. Extremely disappointed for being a local small business! Would actually give them zero stars if o could.

Punctual and professional. 2 gentlemen installed our new hot water tank and a softener. Cleaned up the debris, hauled away our old tank. I am giving 4 stars, because when we called to hire them, we were told price approx 300 hundred or so dollars. When these fellas finished, our bill was 815.00. YIKES. I was very surprised, but paid immediately. Oh well, what can ya do? I believe the job took them 4 to almost 5 hrs. I just want folks to be aware, these guys are pricey. They do a good job. Ya get what you pay for

This was the worst experience. They came to replace a water heater. They were in the house 5 min and said that the flu was clogged and that had to be fixed then left. Called a chimney sweep that inspected it and said there was nothing wrong after charging me $125. They came back later in the afternoon and attempted to force us to sign a document that stated they were offering no warranty or guarantee on the heater or workmanship before they would begin. We refused and had to call the manager to agree that there was no reason for the waiver. Then after completing the install there are leaks in the pipe, my basement is filthy near the work area and after they cleaned themselves up in the downstairs bathroom they left it very dirty. When I called the office about the state of things they said that it was not their problem.
