My home warranty company sent Peter Piper's Plumbing to assess a plumbing issue. Peter told me he could clear the clog but the pipes would leak afterwards, and ultimately I would need to replace the plumbing. I needed to use my kitchen sink so I had him go ahead and clear the clog. I figured I would just deal with the leak until I could get the repair approved. I contacted the home warranty company to get it approved and that's when the real fun began. I went back and forth between PP Plumbing and my home warranty company, each claiming that the other didn't do their part. Peter said he spoke with the warranty co and got it approved for me, and then called me the morning he's scheduled to come asking if I got the approval. All in all, it was a month long ordeal that involved harsh words between Peter and a family member of mine. I just wanted the arguing to be over and to be able to use my kitchen. In the end, my home warranty company paid nothing and I paid two $75 service fees and another $400 for a partial pipe replacement that took approx. 30 min. I felt that something just wasn't right.
Yue Y.The pipe of the handwash sink was leaking, so we called the home warranty insurance company, the company sent two different plumbers one month apart.
it is such a time consuming and frustrating experience. Got to talk someone in the insurance company was like at least half hour waiting, then scheduled in two weeks, I had to ask an off and wait at home. However, both of plumbers the company sent separately did the same things: put some tape around the pipe. I knew it wouldn't work since the first plumber did the same thing, the pipe started leaking again after a couple of use within one week.. I told the second plumber that, but he still did the same thing...
Until Peter came. The third plumber, he told me his solution would be change the pipe after I told him the same thing. During the waiting for the insurance company' authorization, there was a misunderstanding about the pipe(under warranty) or sink (not under warranty) problem. We called the company several times, talking to different people since the call just cut off multiple times while we were waiting for""hang on, give me a couple of mins.""
Eventually. Peter called back and followed up with us, super super superise, he called the company to solve the whatever misunderstanding, then made another schedule, changed the whole pipe. Very appreciated! He is efficient and responsible.
Everything happened one month ago, our pipe works great since then.
Becky C.If there was an option for zero stars... While peacefully participating in a vigil for survivors last Friday, I witnessed the driver of this company roll down his window and become aggressive and hostile to a woman who was standing alone with a sign that said, ""believe survivors"". He was downright misogynistic, yelling at her and asking her why she was there, etc. He continued to berate her and flipped her off. Yesterday, I called the company to let them know that one of their employees had done this, thinking they would want to know how this man was representing their company. He was rude and hung up on me. If this is how they treat a woman standing on the corner with a sign (she wasn't standing with the crowd of people), I personally wouldn't feel safe with them coming into my house and fixing my clogged drains.
BEWARE!!! Peter Martinez ""the owner"" is a sketchy, untrustworthy fraud. He insisted we accept his credit card over the phone to complete a transaction. When we refused his payment he left a bad review. For all we know his credit card could have been stolen. Lots of scammers and he is one of them in our opinion.
This guy is a joke. He may have the skills but his personality is so offensive and condescending that I have no idea how he gets work. Poor communication is an understatement! Talks over you, doesn't answer your questions, doesn't commit, and WON'T WEAR A MASK!! If there was a ""0"", I'd give it to Peter. Look elsewhere at all costs!!
Lawrence G.My 90 year old mom lives in Rohnert Park, but I help manage her finances from afar. She called me (after the fact) to tell me she had to call ""someone"" because something was caught in her garbage disposal. Not sure how she picked Peter Piper's (who told her they ""were just around the corner"") but they showed up to crank the bottom of the disposal (which I would've done if I lived closer) and it cleared up immediately. They spent less than a minute dealing with this issue. She was shocked to discover they wanted $200 for their ""service."" For an old lady on a $1700/month income, this was upsetting to her, to say the least. She had no idea it would cost so much! Maybe this is normal for their business, but seemed to me to take advantage of old lady! Beware! I know my mom will never call them back!
As another person warned, an extremely aggressive driver driver a Peter Piper Plumbing van, should not be driving. First he made cars wait for a right hand turn at a stop sign. When we started to go around he decided he would turn. Then he cut me off making me go onto the sidewalk to avoid a collision. Thank heavens there were no pedestrians.
Wow - a guy driving a Peter Piper Plumbing truck very aggressively forced me to make a emergency lane change in a merge. He tried to draw ahead of me when there clearly wasn't room so I sped up and THEN (way too late) he sped up to stay even with me. There was a ton of room behind me for an easy merge. I would not want this kind of aggressive bully in my home so I urge caution.
Beware-extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. A person named ""Peter"" came out through my home warranty and it was a horrible experience. First, with 30 mins remaining in the window to arrive, he called to say he would be ""a couple hours"" late with no specific timeframe. Then when he finally arrived, he didn't seem to care, shrugging every issue off as if it wasn't a big deal, and when I would attempt to tell him the issue at a fixture, he would tell me to ""calm down"", even while he'd be answering his phone in the middle of our conversation. Then, when I told him, multiple times we had other issues, he kept ignoring me and saying ""is that it""-when I kept communicating that there were more issues; and then, he just left even without saying anything! I didn't even know he left! I had to call him, and when I told him we had other issues he seemed disinterested and he'd take care of it ""later."" He didn't bother to look at the issues on my work order, and when I called him to see where he was, he said there were more issues than the work order-I just double checked with my warranty company and the work order actually does have the items listed that he didn't want to look at.
I do NOT recommend this company, especially if they are willing to hire people like this. How are they planning on fixing problem areas if they aren't willing to even take a look, let alone deal with the issue.
I'm working with my home warranty company to get another company.
Peter Piper's is disorganized, not a good value, and their service people are rude. They came to my home on an American Home Shield home warranty call, which I paid $75 for. They told me that my leaky drain was due to a pre-existing condition and that they would not fix it under the warranty (which I understood.) They said they'd send me a quote. I received no follow up so called them back weeks later. They then called me a week after that to schedule an appointment. I explained the that I had not received a quote for the job and they said they'd look into it. I then received a phone call telling me that someone would come over to my house to inspect the situation. I said OK (even thought this was further wasting my time) and waited. They didn't show up. They then called me and said that they had remembered my situation and that they weren't going to fix the issue because it was a ""preexisting situation"". I told them I understood that but that I had paid for them to come to my house and wanted an itemized quote to fix the issue. I was then told that I wouldn't be given an itemized quote unless I agreed to have them do the work for a very high sounding number that frankly came from the guy's ear. When I told them that I thought I should in the least be given a itemized quote (parts and labor) for the money I paid to have them come out they hung up on me! There are much better, more reasonably priced plumbers out there, do not use Peter Pipers.
