Pete Borman established this family-run business over 68 years ago
after noticing a need for reliable and experienced plumbing services in the area.
In 1972, Pete transferred ownership to Al Price (his son-in-law) and Jerry Klasky (a long-time employee).
Al bought out Jerry's portion of the company in 2007.
Today, Chris, Pete's grandson and Al's son, is at the helm of the family business.
This is a third-generation plumbing company.
When Chris is away from the office, Janet ensures everything operates smoothly.
Pete the Plumber values your support and is always ready to assist our past, present, and future customers.
Chris joined Pete the Plumber in 1986, starting as a novice plumber.
Through hard work, he became a licensed plumber and climbed to the role of general manager.
He strives to provide top-notch service and surpass his clients' expectations.
He believes the best compliment for Pete the Plumber is a referral from a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor.
Our company has relied on ""word of mouth"" advertising since 1945 and continues to find it the highest form of praise.
We emphasize honesty, reasonable pricing, being on time, and clearly outlining procedures to our customers.

If you are thinking about calling Pete the Plumber.....You should think twice.

The service I received by this company was horrible to say the least. The work that they completed at my building cost me hundreds of dollars and was a complete waste of time, as I had to have a different company come out the next day and take care of the issue. To make matters worse, when I called to lodge a complaint, the staff completely disregarded my concerns and stood by their plumber. The staff has no idea what the word customer service means and are completely arrogant on the phone. I think they need a lesson in basic customer service skills. Save time, money, and peace of mind call a different plumber!

The owner's attitude is deplorable. There was damage to my apartment, he wouldn't cover the cost of repairs and refused to finish the job, after reporting the damage.

I have used Pete the Plumber for years but the last review was a nightmare. They had sent quality people in the past, but this time it seemed to be someone I could have hired from the parking lot of Home Depot. He did not fix anything, left things as they were, said he pulled ""chicken bones"" from the garbage disposal (impossible), lett the toilet with water running around the sides & said ""that''s the way they all are"", he was sent back as the garbage disposal still didn't work and said I needed a new one! From Wed to Sat, I needed a new one? What did he acutally do to it 3 days before? Nothing! The explanation from Chris Price the ""manager"" is rife with what I consider outright lies and distortions. He twisted things to try to put them in his favor. I feel that I am a victim of customer exploitation & abuse and I would never call these people again. It is my feeling that they are con artists, rip off experts & refuse to take responsiblity, as long as they get your money, they don't seem to care about customer service or satisfaction. For what I feel are a few dishonest bucks, they lost a life long customer. They are part of the disrespectful state of affairs the shabby services industry is in today and customers should fight back. I am thoroughly disgusted by this place.

Chris rocks. He diagnosed my problem over the phone, told me what to do, and walked me through it. He was really cool about it. Later, I had a different plumbing issue and asked for Chris to come-he did and again diagnosed the problem (which wasn't plumbing). He's a good guy.

The best plumbing experience I've ever had. Deborah made sure that my relatively little plumbing crisis got fit into a schedule that was filled up with a 3-4 day major plumbing crisis going on nearby in the city.

The plumber and his assistant showed up on time, very courteous and extremely competent. They needed to repair the innards of a somewhat antique toilet---the broken part would cost quite a bit. The plumber fabricated the needed piece, replaced a worn washer, and was done in less than 30 minutes. I was amazed!

One of the better-known, mega-store plumbing companies (rhymes with ""Hoto Pooter"") told me over the phone that their guys would come out at $195/hr plus any parts to repair my issue. The manager of Pete's didn't charge for the parts his plumber installed. He and his staff were courteous, accomodating, proficient and just plain great. I highly recommend them---without reservation. AND, on top of it all...Pete the Plumber's hourly rate is less than half than that of ""Hoto Pooter"".

I have been using Pete for many many years. I was first introduced to them through a landlord i was renting from. They always showed up, always fixed the problem and although i personally never saw the bill, I had no complaints: there was a job to do, and they took care of it the first time. Many years later i purchased the very house they have serviced. Last week, I had a leak.. slow but steady and wound up going through the floor and through the ceiling into the room below. I called Pete. Janet answered the phone and couldnt have been more courteous and helpful. We scheduled a time for first thing in the morning. 2 men were assigned the job and showed up between the hour promised. Chris, whom I have met before and Henry whom I had not. Both were polite. professional, and didnt waste anytime. They assessed the situation, gave me their opinion and i made a decision from there. In an hours time they had carefully broken through the ceiling from below, replaced the tubs hardware including the drain and stopped the leak. This could have easily been dragged out to many, many hours not to mention days- it wasnt. Kind courteous proficient and honest.. and the price was more than fair. I recommend this company 1000%.

Just a quick update-- I continue to call Pete for all my plumbing needs; they've done everything from fixing a leaky faucet to replacing major sections of pipe *in the walls of my house* (that's some major surgery, y'all). Always pleased with the plumbers they send over, and the work is always done right. Still forget sometimes that I don't need to pay them when they come, but I've come to actually like receiving an invoice that I can review at my leisure.

Thanks, Pete, for being such a great, local, non-chain plumbing service that does honest work. I'm really really happy to have found y'all.

when my usual plumber was all busy, pete came out within 1 hour and finished also in one hour! I had a clogged sink for my tenant and it was a reasonable price due to the time issue of the problem! Whenever I have a clogged up sink I def will hit up my boy, pete

Highly recommended!

Thanks,
Reid

What a surprise these guys were. I had a serious leaking bathroom faucet issue. I called for service in the morning on a weekday and two guys came to check out the problem. It became apparent that the faucet itself was irreparably shot, so they hopped into their van and, maybe fifteen minutes later, brought a new unit that was similar in appearance, per my request. They installed it and the whole episode from telephone call to the moment when I handed over the surprisingly small check was maybe an hour and a half or two hours.
