Chris Eacker with Personal Plumber came out to install a new hot water heater for $1,700. I know that's a little high but my wife was on me to get this fixed ASAP so I was ok with it. When he was taking out my old tank (in the garage with two full doors to open) he broke in half the wood window seal below and never really said sorry about that. He finished and checked the hot water to our masterbath and it was not hot. He determined that my hot water circulating pump was out and I needed a new one.
I said ok get one and let me know when you can come back to install it. He told me he didn't know where to get one and I should call around to find one then let him know because he only installs parts his clients buy. I thought that was a little different but I said ok. Well let me tell you, there are so many different pumps that all look similar I could not figure out which one to buy and my old pump you could not read the model #.
I Called Chris many times and got very frustrated. I did find a pump but decided to use Legacy plumbers. The technician told me my hot water was not up to code and I said it was just installed. So the pan on the bottom was not replaced nor did it have a return value to release the water in case of overflow. Other than the hot water heater itself he used all my old parts.
For the money I paid this should have been a top notch job so live and learn.

One final kicker, during the freeze I noticed water leaking from the NEW tank! I thought great every plumber in Dallas is booked for weeks. I called Chris and left a message with my problem, to date the man never returned my phone call. Legacy plumbers once again did an outstanding job. I will say Chris is a very nice guy and acts like he cares. When I hire a contractor to work on my house I never try to negotiate price because I understand everyone needs to make a profit. But when I pay top $$$ and get my head ripped off its just wrong

Plumbing issues rarely schedule themselves when convenient. Our shower decided to fail on New Years Eve. I called Chris Eaker with Personal Plumbing. Chris called back and was patient and thorough, making sure to understand our issues prior to sending his son Ryan.

Ryan showed up promptly and quickly fixed our issues, educatee along the way! The best part was the pricing was as expected - not outrageous for correcting our plumbing issues. I am so appreciative of the professionalism and courtesy for Personal Plumbing. Will always call Chris and Ryan for my future plumbing needs.
