I dreaded calling a plumber to have one of my toilets repaired. However I was pleasantly surprised at the exemplary service I received from when I called to schedule the appointment to when the repair was completed.

They were very flexible and able to get a plumber to me at my convenience - a Saturday afternoon.

On the day he was scheduled to arrive, Jamel called to give me a shorter window for his arrival. I appreciated this as it allowed me the opportunity to run errands. Once her arrived, he was able to quickly assess the issue and took the time to explain what was wrong. He then told me what parts were required for the fix and gave me the option to purchase them myself or have him do it. I needed some other stuff at HD so I did it. Easy breezy. We rescheduled - again at my convenience - another time for him to return to complete the work. I was so impressed I referred him to a neighbor.

On the day of, he called 30 minutes before arrival and completed the job quickly with zero mess. In addition to being great at his job, Jamel is also very personable which helped to make it an even better experience.

I hope I won't need a Plumber for awhile but whenever I do, Personal Plumbing will be my first choice and I'll always request Jamel.

Called them based on other 5 star reviews after finding water leaking from the garage ceiling.

Jamel showed up the next day, with his very polite apprentice plumber :) son , took one look at the caulking in my shower (sits on top of the garage) and identified the culprit. Did not charge me anything, even gave me tips on how to fix it myself, told me I could do it for $25 as opposed to paying him $180.

Amazing service, very nice, genuine people. Thanks Jamel!

I had an appointment to install a sink and a minor shower repair for last Friday between 5-9PM. By 9, the technician had not yet arrived. After I called Personal Plumbing, I was informed they were swamped and set up a time for Saturday morning. The technician arrived on time, but then said he did not have the basic parts required to finish the installation and stated he would call later that day after he picked up the parts from the plumbing supply company. I never received a call. Since then, I have left 3 messages and have not had a call back. Very unprofessional.

With all the great reviews this plumbing company received, I thought Personal Plumbing would be a great choice to fix some urgent plumbing issues I had at my house this week. I spoke with Roland about having one of his tech's come out, and during my first phone call he was incredibly helpful and said someone would be out in a few hours. Great, all good I thought.

After a few hours, I called back and found out our tech is delayed because of another complicated job in the area. Fine - no problem, totally understood and we were told that they would be there in a few hours. Again, after waiting those few hours I called again for an update and left a voicemail. I called again, multiple times into the night, thinking it might be a busy day. Left voicemails and still got no response. This was a very urgent plumbing issue that we took a day off work for because Roland said someone would be out to our house. We still haven't heard from Roland, but we ultimately wasted a day off and just found another reputable plumber to come out and work on our issue today.

Given all the other positive feedback, this may be an isolated case, but I figured I'd write up a review here to give another perspective.

Very disappointed at the sudden lack of communication and will not be looking to these guys again.

I had water in my basement and thought I knew the source. I called Personal Plumbing and Roland & Tauhid came out the same evening. I scheduled my service for next morning. Long story short, after investigating, the guys found out that in addition to my drain issue, I had a bigger problem that required a different contractor.
They took the time to show me exactly what the problem was and did an execellent, quick job cleaning my drain. They even moved my washer & dryer to save them from water damage!
Hopefully I won't have any major plumbing issues in the future. But if I do, I'm glad I found Personal Plumbing. Knowlegable, prompt, and personable.

Its 11:15pm and Roland and Tauhid just left.I had a kitchen drain thats been clogged for weeks and Roland and Tauhid came in and had my kitchen drain back to normal in no time..he even did a little extra work with no charge..Please call these guys and dont do like I did initially and had some jack leg come and tell me a bunch of bull and only fix the problem for a day

This is a great plumbing company. I called them on Friday afternoon and left a message. Less than two hours later, they called back and booked an appointment with us for Saturday morning. So, I have to say their follow up was a relief, since some of the other top rated plumbers on Yelp never responded to my voicemails. Also, as promised, they showed up between the hours of 10a-12p.

Roland and Moses were experienced. They took their time to research the problem, which made us feel that they were committed to fixing our issue - not rushing through it to get to another appointment. They were professional in their recommendations and worked diligently to fix the leak on our second floor (which, unfortunately, was inside one of our walls). They were able to find the source of the leak and fix it, so that it would stop leaking through the ceiling of our first floor.

All in all, I would recommend them. They kept their appointment time, fixed our problem and managed to make us laugh a bit in the process!

They may be great plumbers but they aren't great at keeping appointments. At least they weren't good at keeping the one they made with me. They no showed and never called to say they weren't coming. I called the office and left a voicemail for them and never heard back. Like I said they might be great but I guess I'll never know.

All of my reviews involve someone coming to my rescue and today was no different. An unpleasant sniff and a worried jaunt into the basement revealed a flood, a backed up drain and no plan.

After our regular plumber wasn't able to make it out, we called Roland and now we have a new plumber! We called late in the day and he willingly came after five, explained the options, pumped the drain and was as pleasant as could be.

We got great service, a great price and a great experience (if that can be used to describe a backed-up drain) We won't hesitate to call Roland again!

This is truly a great plumbing company. When my garbage disposal jammed, I called them at 10am and by 6pm, it was fixed.

Both father and son were great on the phone, assuring me that they would do an assessment for free and ultimately, they charged $80 to fix the disposal and gave me some suggestions for how to fix the issue on my own in the future.

If there was a sixth star, I would give it because this is a great team of guys who I would suggest to anyone.
