Recommended Customer Reviews

I am really shocked at the sub par reviews here! We used Perry for a number of reasons. First of all, they had installed an HVAC system for my parents, and also for a good friend. Both recommended Perry highly after their experiences. We purchased 3 new dual AC and Heating systems from Perry. They were professional and courteous the whole way through. We began planning for this over a year ago and received 4 quotes. Perry was very fair in their pricing, and we wanted Trane units. The installation took 3 days, as our systems are complicated, and we had to replace 3 units where the original install was not up to code. Perry brought us up to code, and corrected many other problems for us. They also did not nickel and dime us for every little thing the way other companies had in their quotes. Over all, a very good experience! I would do it again!

I've used Perry for a couple of years now, but never again! I own several rental properties in town. Yesterday I had Perry come out to a duplex apartment to service and start the furnaces. The technician didn't come with the tools he needed to light the pilot so after loaning him my torch, he told me that it would not light and I need to replace the unit. He charged me $59.95 to do nothing. he quoted me $2000.00 to replace the unit. Knowing how much a furnace costs and knowing that it would be maybe 2 hours labor, at the most, I decided to get another quote. I had another company out today to take a look. He quoted me $800.00. His guys will be there tomorrow morning to install 2 new furnaces and I will never deal with Perry again.

Perry heating and Cooling is my go to HVAC company in Tucson. I just wanted to thank the tech they sent out to repair my A/C today. Steve M arrived at my home and let me know he wasn't feeling so good, said he felt a little nauseous. Regardless he grabbed his tools and ladder and within minutes had my A/C repaired. He got down from the roof, stored his tools and was doing paper work when he had to stop and vomit several times into a trash bucket in his van. Now I know this is odd to be thanking him for that, but it's the fact that the man was truly sick and still fixed my A/C that impressed me. I work for a communications company here in Tucson. I'm a outside repair technician. If I had been half as sick as Steve was that day, the last place I would have been is at work. Thanks Steve.

Can't believe I didn't come to this page first. Hoping you did. I would have happily paid $80 for the technician to tell me that my core had frozen and, if I gave it time, things would be back to normal.
Unfortunately, he did a number of wiring changes that appeared to be ""troubleshooting"" and gave me a bunch of words that ultimately led to - 'you can't run it this way, call me tonight with which repair option you want' leaving behind parts and tools.
Once I realized that things had been left much different than they were originally, I called to speak to a Manager. The Manager never called me back, but a very upset technician did. He said he'd put things back the way they were if I signed a waiver stating that I would not chase them down.
Peeling out across my road, slamming his door as he got out of his truck and walking right in front of me without acknowledging me to put everything 'back the way it was' ... that is the extent of this person's customer service.
Things still aren't the way they used to be.
Called the Manager and finally spoke to him. He said he would send another technician and when I called back to see if they could tell me when exactly, I got their answering service.
There's Perry Heating Cooling for you.

This company is not anything like they advertise. Their repair personnel are not properly trained, are rude, and darned near ruined one of my compressors. Their preventive maintenance is a joke! I do not recommend paying up front for preventive maintenance as they do not vacuum or wash the coils, check any of the electrical parts or the freon. I was so unhappy I requested a refund of my preventive maintenance payment (1700.00 for six months on three units) and received only 900.00 dollars. I spent nine months trying to get that 900.00. It got to the point that when the service manager knew it was me calling he would not return the call. I had to call and ask for the General Mgr. before he would call me back. They charge 120.00 per pound on freon...most places charge between 30.00-70.00 per pound.
Do your hvac a favor and stay away from Perry Heating and Cooling in Tucson, Az!

Perry Heating & Cooling was called to fix our no cold air a/c today. Chris was the tech and he totally knew his stuff and was able to pinpoint exactly what the problem was - the compressor's capacitor - and like magic we had cool air again. What was even more impressive is that he called a couple of times to update us on his status. He didn't arrive until after 7 p.m, but we were told earlier in the day by Julie (she answered the phone and was so super friendly) that he wouldn't be here until around that time. We knew he had a very, very long day, yet he still was very courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and fixed our a/c. Our unit is from 1989 so he did state that there was no guarantee how long it would be before the a/c compressor would totally give out. We can't speak for everyone at Perry...but Chris rocks! And when there are so many young little entitled employees servicing us today with their know-it-all care less personalities...it was very much appreciated that Chris was sent out to do our repair. Definitely highly recommend him!

Since coming to Tucson in 1999, we have used Perry Heating and Cooling several times. We are very grateful to know that when we call, Perry Heating and Cooling will be there to service our system and get us up and running as fast as possible. Summer is here and it can get really hot and miserable without air conditioning. Our main unit finally gave out two weeks ago and they were able to replace it the next day. Steve was very professional and left a clean work area. The prices were fair and we know we received top-of-the line equipment.

I too have had a horrible experience with Perry Heating and Cooling. I used them because they had serviced the home I recently moved into. Discovered misfiring of the heat pump AND that they had cut and spliced the thermostat wiring at some point. Never again.

DON'T USE THEM!!! They came out to ""tune-up"" my heating unit. Now it doesn't work! Now they want to charge me another fee to come out and ""look"" at it. I essentially ""paid them"" to break it and now they want me to pay them again to fix it.

First, I will say that the technician who visited knew his stuff, and identified the problem easily. The reason why I am giving 2 stars is that I was charged $80 for a $10 thermcouple (after looking up the OEM part online for my model).
