This company was recommended to us so we called them out to take a look at an issue we started having. They are only receiving 1 star because I cannot leave half a star. I might as well have had a stranger from the street put on a mask and say they were a plumber come in my house and hang around and not fix anything. Then on top of that fully charge me for service; and nothing was touched, diagnosed or even attempted while in my home. Poor business practices. If you are unable to fix an issue or do not want to fix the issue tell the customer upfront, do not leave them waiting and wasting everyones valuable time. I highly advise searching elsewhere for professionals willing to work and correct the problem.

Great plumbing company. They gave my grandma a super fair price to replace her hot water tank. Got two other quotes, Permidt under bid them by $400. Totally worth it. Nice team, clean, professional, in and out.

After only two weeks in my newly purchased townhome in the city, I had a water heater go out. I called numerous plumbers all over the city and suburbs, asked friends, and eventually got a referral to this company from my existing, very good HVAC contractor. The plumber came out promptly and installed it that day, and despite the high cost (over $2000), I was pleased with the service.

Imagine my disappointment, when yesterday I noticed a drip in the pipes where this supposedly new water heater was installed. Thinking the labor might still be under warranty, I called the company and explained the issue. A plumber came out and fixed it today, and did a good job. I have no issue with that workmanship.

However, that workmanship today cost me an additional $195. The plumber explained to me that the piping he had just fixed was original to the home, and not the piping that connected directly to the water heater. Ok. But, still I feel ripped off. I just paid over $2000 not 2 months ago for a proper installation of a water heater. I specifically chose this company since they were about $200 less than another quote (from a plumber my coworker recommended). Surprise--they weren't.

I will not use them again, and my search for a reputable plumber in this city continues. Very disappointing.

We called several places, no one could come for 2 or 3 days. Permidt came over within the hour the same day. Vince fixed up our ""leaking everywhere sink"" so quickly and with a smile. Thanks so much you guys. You're awesome! :)

2 plumbers come to my house from Permidt Engineering in Franklin Pk. The only 2 going up and down my stairs where sits my son's keys. They left and poof - his keys where gone. One of them STOLE his keys - really WTF. Don't let this trash in your house. They said maybe someone came in and took them. Watched the camera at the door - what do you know - only 1 of them coming and going. No strangers but them. Thieves work here..BEWARE

We had some emergency work done on a building we own and couldn't be happier with the quality of work and promptness of Permidt Engineering. We have work at our own home that needs to be addressed and once again Permidt came through with flying colors. We can rest easy knowing we can count on them for all of our plumbing needs.

Excellent service!! Great plumbers!! Have had a couple interactions with Permidt Engineering and has just always been positive. This week had John out to fix a leaky faucet, and I am just so pleased with the level of professional and friendly service he provided. Fixed my leak on the first visit; had to come back for a follow up (loose handle was turning all the way to hot on it's own) but the issue had resolved itself by the time he had arrived. Still he checked the valve and made some minor tweaks without giving me any guff for an issue that was no longer there. (Sorry to have sent you chasing ghosts John!!) I do feel though the follow up work only made the handle work even better!! Really very trust worthy and professional service. Will use Permidt again in the future!! Highly recommend giving them a call if you need a plumber!

Our sewer line was backing up and overflowing. Within a day Permidt was able to get someone out to fix it. John was super nice and professional. I am really happy we used them and hopefully won't have anymore issues with our sewer. Thanks John!

We have lived in Elmhurst for 25 years. Our first five years, we used the ubiquitous plumbing companies named after nationalities. After one distasteful experience, we called Permidt to fix the problem. They came out to put in rod-in access on the same day. The have done plumbing subcontract work for us. They are prompt, smart, responsive, fairly priced and god people.

They have my highest recommendation for tradesmen.
