Fred is honest, knowledgable, and fairly priced. We reached out to see if he could service our broken heater. LUCKILY he was available for same-day service. He thoroughly examined every piece of our heating unit. He diagnosed the problem almost instantly!

He explained to us in great detail: what the issue was, what his recommendations to fix it in the safest and most efficient way possible, and the price range of services we could look into to get it done correctly. Obviously, we made the decision to move forward with him- but him being transparent about our options is what we appreciated most!

Fred knows his stuff! He's been doing this for years so you can definitely trust his expertise! Highly recommend him as your go-to handyman for any plumbing, heating, or air conditioning needs. Thank you so much Fred for keeping us warm in this historical Los Angeles storm!

Way too much $ $5000. for a simple mini split which cost him about $1000. So I paid him $4000 LABOR . He rushed me and pressured me and as a SENIOR I feel taken . Tho the work was done well I should've looked more closely into the competition. I asked for references and was shown pics only , no personal references . Should've known .

Twenty years ago I was interested in getting an air conditioning sytem in my home. A friend of my named Ray at Classic Distribution & Beverage referred me to Fred at Perfomance Heating &Plumbing HVAC. He came out gave me a reasonable estimate for an American Standard A/c., which included a new Electrical panel. The work was done in 2 days including city permits. I was pleased with his service and hard work. Just a year ago my 20 year old A/C went out. So I called 3 different vendors from box store to chain suppliers and independent one. Everyone gave me 3 different brands to buy and why I needed to replace my ducts also. Prices ranged from 25 thousand to 15 thousand. Then as I was about to give up , I found Fred number and called him again. He came out gave me options on what brand was best and why as he did 20 years ago. I told him about my ducts, he physically went in the attic and checked them out, said they were not leaking and looked new. The other A/C companies didn't even bother to check them. I trusted Fred and his professional opinion he was the only one I felt had my best interest and to me trust is everything. He quoted me a price and recommended me a brand for the purpose of myself, maintaining it so when my dogs shed hair its easy to clean the ducts. I agreed , his price was the best and was done in one day. I read other reviews which were not so favorable, but I kindly disagree. Fred is a very nice hardworking individual and takes care of business. I would refer him to anyone who needs a hvac sytem. I did not know he was on yelp or I would have done this a year ago. Thank's again Fred the A/c is awesome.

So, I don't write reviews. I don't even have the app. I honestly downloaded the app because I have never been treated this poorly in my life. Hands down worst customer service treatment in my life. I'm honestly amazed they are in business, let alone allow FRED to work here. We were doing a heating/cooling inspection and I was the agent for my buyer. I ran downstairs to let FRED in and he says ""who are you?"" I politely answer the buyer's agent and he laughs and says so no one. ""Where's the unit?""

He goes back out and comes in to tell me one of the vents is broken. I simply state that he was very rude to me and he says ""like I ***** care"" and goes on to laugh. After the inspection he ridicules my buyer and pretends like the questions we are asking are dumb. He rushed us out and was the WORST exeperience I've ever encountered. I'm very easy going and have never left a negative review in my life. I felt that I needed to post this so others wouldn't experience this.

Hope this guy finds a different career not involved with customer service.

A bit pricey . . .

They quoted me nearly $600 to replace two small inexpensive parts. The estimate seemed high so I researched it and found that the two parts cost from $15 up to $75. Install time of 20 minutes or less. Let's do some math... $600 for 20 minutes would be $1800 per hour minus parts plus drive time and gas to my house. Not too shabby! I asked him why it was so expensive and he said ""its the value of the package"". Whatever that might mean :)

The two benefits are: no diagnostic fee and if their fix doesn't work then you don't pay.
