This is the worst customer service ever. New to the area, I called them from a sticker on my a/c unit. They said they would arrive to fix my a/c, the next day between 8-10. I called at 11. They said the window was actually 8-12. ( I had put the hours in my phone that had been given to me). I called again at 1. They said, """"we are sorry, we can't get to you today and will have to come out tomorrow"""". Were they ever going to let me know this??? I had to call them. I asked if they could come first thing in the morning and they said, """"we can't make any promises"""". I told them never to contact me again. Of course they did, for a service plan! Are you kidding me? I got zero service. Well I decided to find someone else and happy I did. I called Arctic Air and they got someone out same day.

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! New A/C installed 11/13/2020. The company has been back 7 times for sub standard work. First the blower would not shut off. Installed on the 11/13, a few days later had to send the installers back, fan would not shut off. Tech spent the whole day trouble shooting over the phone and reading through a text book. Had to schedule another appointment for someone else to come out, who spent another full day replacing the blower and mother board. Turned out they needed to connect a wire from the thermostat to the unit. When it turned cold in January I used the heat for the first time. First it would kick on to warm up then the A/C would kick on and cool it back down. Another trip from another service person, after a few hours discovered The heat pump was never connected. Called for the inspection, which did not pass because of a wire that needed to be upgraded. Waited over a month for them to come out and correct problem for reinspection. Finally they returned with another part for the a/c unit, apparently they installed the wrong heating coil, the one they installed was for a 2400 sq foot home, I live in a 1200 square Villa. What was really outrageous is they new they installed the wrong part. They decided to replace that because it was easier then upgrading the wire! With your new install you receive two service calls to make sure your unit is running properly. The text did the service and told me when they installed they changed the a/c unit with to much refrigerant he recycled some back out. Less then 2months later, came to 81 degree house. Another call for service, tech showed next day only to tell me I was low on refrigerant and some how the last tech screwed up the valve that regulates the refrigerant going into the house! OMG the level of incompetence is staggering!! Just got home after an 18hr shift and guess what 80 f--cking degrees in my house!!!!! Have made yet another call for service. I can't believe this.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I can't understand how they are still in business.

If it was possible to give a company a zero rating, they would be most deserving. I have 14 properties in the Indian Shores in Treasure Island area and was with a company called Paradise A/C who was excellent. This company acquired Paradise last year and has the worst service in communication possible. Additionally they just quoted me for an entire AC replacement for a 2 1/2 ton unit at $11,900. The first company I called was $7650. They are CROOKS. Buyer please BEWARE!!!

Service is excellent. Pricing is robbery - at least 300% more than any competitor. They stated their pricing is partly due to the admin costs. Customers do not care about admin costs.

Performance AC came out to unclog a drain on the 22nd of Nov. I thought the problem was solved and got sucked into a year membership with them. With that year membership they set up an appointment to have the drains inspected with a camera (dump move on my part). The camera found a blockage that had been there for a while, but instead of fixing the issue, they suggested repairs estimating from $10,000-$30,000. They worst part about getting the estimate is they were pushing us to make our decision right then and there. So as of now both toilets are blocked and they refuse to come correct their mistake without charging us. Awful customer service and wouldn't recommend this headache to my worst enemy. Also check their 3.85 BBB rating if you are still thinking about using them: https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/largo/profile/air-conditioning-contractor/performance-air-conditioning-electric-plumbing-0653-90006768

This company scams seniors and unknowledgeable home owners. Don't fall for there high price unnecessary service contracts or unneeded """"black box surge protectors."""" My 80 year old neighbor was taken for over $2400 for a one hour service call to """"restart system"""". Beware! Beware! Beware!

I'm really glad I found this company! I followed the reviews after going through several bad air and electrical companies. We always have a project or two going with renovations. I can't say enough good things. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and their pricing is competitive. We had James come for a second time to finish another project at our condo. He is professional, courteous and explains exactly what he is doing. Justin came to fix our backed up air handler drains at our other property and after calling four other companies over a one year period, that all told us we had condensation issues... Justin found two drain lines that our contractor had cut through and covered up. If only I had called them sooner!!! You won't regret using this company.

The company that bought out Absolute Zero answers the phone number associated with the original owner, Steve, and does not identify the fact that it is now Performance Air Conditioning Electrical and Plumbing. In fact, they didn't even mention it until I remarked that Steve has really gone upscale with the music and canned greeting- (which, by the way, still did not mention the new name). I needed immediate service for my air handler, and Gordon came out right away and determined that it was the fan motor and he would either be back to replace it that afternoon or the next day, July 3. I the meantime, he also was selling me on their membership plan which seemed like a good deal to me at the time, but never left me a copy of the contract. By 4:30 on the 3rd, no one came or called, so I called and spoke to Michael and he assured me that they had the motor and someone would be back the next day (which was July 4th) and was given a window of 12:00 to 4:00. I also mentioned that I did not get a copy of the membership contract and questioned if there was a 3 day cancellation clause in it, as is typical in contracts, and he said the person coming out the next day would bring it. I was skeptical about them coming out on the 4th, called back and Michael assured me that yes- someone would be here. No one showed up so I called and spoke to a woman who told me that I was not on the schedule and that the motor was not in. I called back and spoke to Michael and told him that I considered the order and contract cancelled. I also texted them at 4:25 on July 4th to confirm my phone conversation with them due to the fact that they did not show up (and I was lied to), that the order/contract is cancelled. They never got back to me, but yesterday, July 30, I received a note presumably from Absolute Zero claiming to be Steve- the original owner- saying it was time for my air conditioning tune-up. It had the same logo and original address as Absolute zero with a P.S. """"Great news, our recent merger with Performance is allowing us to offer..."""" After digging into this, I found out it was NOT a merger! As Tamara H stated: buyer beware! BTW- I called 'I Care Air Care' and will be using them from now on.

I have a two yr old Bryent central air system. On the 5th of July it stoped working. I called Performance and they came. First he checked the air filter and determined it needed to be changed. I went to get one. I feel this was a mistake as when I returned I got hit with a 765.oo Charge. He told me that i did NOT have a breaker out side by my AC. If I HAD this breaker I would get the parts money( from Bryent) off the Bill. He then tried to sell me a breaker so I would not get stuck again. I could NOT afford that so I declined. After he left I discovered that I DO HAVE A BREAKER! It is part of Code! Now I can't say for truth, BUT I can't help but wonder IF it was just the outside breaker and the rest is fucking me good! I was stupid and went to get the filter so I will never know. He gave me picture he calms are before and after? I don't know the difference of either one The repair guy gave me paper work that states POSSIBLE hit by surge! He says that my Bryent coverage will NOT cover a """"ACT OF GOD"""" I see this in my owners manual. BUT he said """" POSSIBLE"""" That means POSSIBLE NOT TOO! I have been going on the phone since the 6th of July and get NO were. I will NOT recommend Performance! I FEEL ROBBED! William K McCormick [email protected]
