Performance AC came out to unclog a drain on the 22nd of Nov. I thought the problem was solved and got sucked into a year membership with them. With that year membership they set up an appointment to have the drains inspected with a camera (dump move on my part). The camera found a blockage that had been there for a while, but instead of fixing the issue, they suggested repairs estimating from $10,000-$30,000. They worst part about getting the estimate is they were pushing us to make our decision right then and there. So as of now both toilets are blocked and they refuse to come correct their mistake without charging us. Awful customer service and wouldn't recommend this headache to my worst enemy. My experience with Performance Air was anything but positive. I called Performance Air after my A/C went out and another A/C repair company told me my issue was electrical. I assumed I would be killing two birds with one stone by using Performance as they service both AC and electrical issues. Thinking all I needed was a new circuit to my A/C unit I wasn't too concerned about the estimate and thought it would be a quick fix. The technician told me I would need a complete service upgrade and gave me an estimate of $6.8k. My heart sank. The technician told me a wire in my box had melted and I was lucky my house had not yet burned down. He told me how awful my grounding was and that it would definitely need to be replaced. I was shocked and scared. I couldn't believe that my home has passed an inspection not even 2 years ago when I bought it. I pulled up the inspection report and the inspector did not seem concerned at all with the grounding. That was my first inkling something was amiss. It was the week of Thanksgiving so there was a pressure to sign up now so they could fix everything that Friday. If I didn't sign up now it may be much longer until they were able to come out. I began signing up for everything thinking about the other electricians I called that said they couldn't even get out to give me an estimate by the end of that week. (Florida in November is still pretty warm as we all know) As I was signing everything I was getting a pit in my stomach. I asked the technician to please not move forward and to allow me to try and get other quotes. The technician acted flabbergasted by this and said there was no way I could find a better quote. He left my home with my credit card information and paper work I had filled out. I was terrified I had made an almost $7k mistake. I had 3 other electricians come out to my house the next few days after calling most of them crying. Each person told me that they didn't think I needed a complete service upgrade and even if I did it would cost between $2.5k-$3.5k. Performance Air was quoting me DOUBLE that amount. I sent over one of my quotes to Ian Kellogg in Quality Assurance to review why these quotes were so different. After reviewing, Ian said it was because Performance Air would be providing me a better quality panel than the others offered. The cheaper panel runs for about $1.2k but their panel would have whole home surge protection and a year warranty. I did the math and a few surge protectors from target may be about $50 and if I replaced the cheaper panel in my home every 3 years I still wouldn't get to the Performance Air price. Performance Air said they could also do the work for $3k if they used this lower quality panel. Please note my home is under 1,500sqft, there in no pool, and half my appliances run on gas. It has now been over a week and I am still waiting to be refunded the $1k that was only supposed to be a hold on my credit card. (No service was performed on my home and no parts were ordered). Overall I would never recommend this company.

We had monthly membership and this is worst idea and felt trapped. Each time, these guys used to come and try to fix something and during the next visit, other one just wanted undo. Finally, one of techs came and told our a/c needs to be replaced all together, and gave an estimation for few thousands. He told us that he would not be able to fix until next few days and he had to get the parts. Thankfully, our neighbor suggested his a/c guy and he fixed it in less than 15 min for less than hundred dollars. I finally stopped the service!! Not trustworthy!! highly unreliable!!

I have been a Cust for years. They neglected to close out a permit. I have been no trying for 2 months to get this corrected. The supposed manager has been giving me the run around. Doesnt return calls emails texts. Owner wont call back either. He's like a ghost. . Can't finalize the closing-of my house. Ben is inept. Worst experience ever.

Once this company gets your phone number they text you and call you non stop! They use different numbers and different peoples names!! They want you to sign up for their service plan... which in the past I have for another company which they bought out. So over the phone harassment!!

Do NOT use this company!!! Unethical, unskilled, and overcharges. Unfortunately, I didn't read previous reviews about Performance and last year we had a whole house AC install for about $9400. Performance installed, maintained, and serviced our system according to their service plan. One year and 4 DAYS later, it went out!!! Performance came out and could not figure out what """"went wrong"""" and decided to replace the entire outside unit. They were unapologetic and said we would have use manufacturer's warranty to get parts and then have to pay for install and labor at the tune of $1600... Ian was rude and condescending, Ben (the supervisor?) never called during the scheduled appointment. Since then, we've had 2 other opinions and both determined the issue was in the handler is and is fixing for $450. Spending the $1600 and installing a new unit wouldn't have fixed the problem at all. STAY AWAY!!!

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! New A/C installed 11/13/2020. The company has been back 7 times for sub standard work. First the blower would not shut off. Installed on the 11/13, a few days later had to send the installers back, fan would not shut off. Tech spent the whole day trouble shooting over the phone and reading through a text book. Had to schedule another appointment for someone else to come out, who spent another full day replacing the blower and mother board. Turned out they needed to connect a wire from the thermostat to the unit. When it turned cold in January I used the heat for the first time. First it would kick on to warm up then the A/C would kick on and cool it back down. Another trip from another service person, after a few hours discovered The heat pump was never connected. Called for the inspection, which did not pass because of a wire that needed to be upgraded. Waited over a month for them to come out and correct problem for reinspection. Finally they returned with another part for the a/c unit, apparently they installed the wrong heating coil, the one they installed was for a 2400 sq foot home, I live in a 1200 square Villa. What was really outrageous is they new they installed the wrong part. They decided to replace that because it was easier then upgrading the wire! With your new install you receive two service calls to make sure your unit is running properly. The text did the service and told me when they installed they changed the a/c unit with to much refrigerant he recycled some back out. Less then 2months later, came to 81 degree house. Another call for service, tech showed next day only to tell me I was low on refrigerant and some how the last tech screwed up the valve that regulates the refrigerant going into the house! OMG the level of incompetence is staggering!! Just got home after an 18hr shift and guess what 80 f--cking degrees in my house!!!!! Have made yet another call for service. I can't believe this.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I can't understand how they are still in business.

Had them look at my air conditioner and was told I need a specific service to the unite and after it was done the unite still did not work properly. I had another company go in and was shocked when they told me the the service I paid for($708.) was not even done. I sent the video that the second company did to the supervisor and I left many messages for the supervisor to call me and he never did.

I had Performance Air fix my 2yro central unit bc it needed a new coil. Within a couple wks they sent out a tech to preform a service cleaning that left a terrible oder when fan only was on & when cooling was on the smell IS still there but faintly.. Now.. My POINT IS that b4 the """"CLEANING"""" there wasn't any orders coming thru my system.. Now on the day of """"CLEANING"""" the tech was trying to sell me a ULTRA LIGHTING ANTI GERM..MOLD..MILDEW System & when I called to report the oder the tech called me back claiming that the system he was telling/trying to sell me is what would take care of that.. I asked WHY would I need to buy that when my unit already has one & didn't have an oder before he came.. The conversation went no where & Performance denying any wrong doing.. I gave it some time hoping it would fade away but a couple months later it's still there.. So I call with same complaint NOW I probably have something dead in my ductwork.. Ok so I have a rodent chk.. And as thought no rodents detected.. So now my house must have an oder bc their cleaning & germicide isn't the problem.. Bottom line... No oder problems before said cleaning.. Now an oder thats NOT going away & they are denying any responsibility.. Now other customers have complained about this same thing after """"CLEANING"""" was preformed.. My suspicion is they're setting it up to sell you something you DON'T need.. What ever they sprayed into my system is taking a hell of a long time to go away. I will be filing a BB complaint on these people. And I don't want to give this company even 1 star but this won't post unless I do SO WHAT DOES THAT SAY FOR THEM.. They don't deserve a star

HORRIBLE!!! Choose another company!! Oct 7, 2020, their AC worker tripped over and broke off a fire sprinkler suppression line causing 24,000 gal of pressurized water to flow through three condos, resulting in over $1 million damages to the three condo units: mold abatement, demolition, storage fees, restoration and now stalled rebuild. All three units are still down to 2x4's , completely gutted and this is 7 months later!! Performance AC said"""" They would make us whole again"""" well, they have completely failed in that regard and their insurance carrier refuses to discuss the claim with all of the homeowners and has now referred their obligations to a legal entity to continue the non-response causing endless delays and mounting storage and relocation rental fees. We have NO choice as homeowners but to give this company an absolutely poor review based on the totality of the circumstances. We simply want our home back!! Performance AC and their insurance carrier American Zurich and McLarens and Network Adjusters need to step up and make this right as three condo units still remain destroyed!!
