Avoid at all costs (was hired via home warranty). One of their employees got COVID, and I only found out when I asked multiple times why they had to reschedule the same day they were scheduled to come out (please note, I had already waited over a month for this appointment time). When it was ""rescheduled"" I never got a call back to confirm. I called another week later to confirm the exact date and time, and they said today. I then asked what time, they said ""uh.... maybe between 1-4."" I already had a full schedule planned but didn't want to wait another week (or month) for the next ""maybe"" appointment. Fast forward, the technician arrived without great communication and waited 15 min since arrival. They claim he waited 48 minutes (not true). Turns out, he didn't know where to fix the hole in the wall, and did not have the ""right materials."" He said to call the main office and reschedule. Great. I tried calling and left voicemails. Then I see an email from the home warranty company saying the job was completed and all paid for - wow. That's criminal! How does a company accept payment for a job NOT done? Shocking! I told them I would report to BBB when I finally spoke with the owner of the company again and he scoffed at me, then hung up. Agreed with all other reviewers - AVOID AT ALL COST. Company is a fraud and committing borderline criminal activity.

Consider this review as a ZERO STAR review. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't give this ability.

I had a SEARS insurance (canceled it already!). And thru them I've put a claim, that was routed to this company. My problem was a non-functioning water heater. The technician came pretty quick.

The heater was tightly wrapped into an insulation blanket. The heater's model and make couldn't be read that easily due to that. Guess what the technician did? He simply teared the insulation apart! When I asked who would fix it, he said they will, in a process of fixing the main problem. I had doubts at this point, but assumed ""it's an insurance, what could go wrong?"". Everything did, as I have learned later.

The technician didn't try to do any real troubleshooting. He tried to reignite the pilot lite, and it didn't work. Not a surprise, that was exactly the reason why I've filed the claim. And then, he simply stated it's a regulator fault. Whatever! It's paid, so why would I argue? In my opinion it was a simple thermocouple fault, but who am I to argue with a certified technician? And so I didn't. He went to his vehicle and spend about a half of an hour for who knows what. Maybe, for filing a report?

I waited for 3 weeks before losing my temper and staring poking around. And when I did, I figured that the claim in SEARS is simply closed. I called to ""Performance Electrical Co"" to learn what's happening, and they said that SEARS rejected the order for a reason unknown. FOR THE UNKNOWN REASON! This company didn't know why the claim was rejected, that's what they said to me. I called to SEARS and they told me that the contractor have reported that my heater: a) was improperly installed; b) had a precondition. Any of these statuses makes the heater ineligible for the insurance! My attempts to clarify what exactly was wrong with the heater have failed. None of the parties provided any details. They just ""decided"" my heater is ineligible, that's it.

I tried to get a report copy. SEARS told me ""the service report is provided verbally, and we do not keep physical copies"". Really?! It was the point when I cancelled my subscription with them. And ""Performance Electrical Co"" was simply incompetent to give any clear answer on the matter. It doesn't seem they keep the report copies either, but they are not as honest as SEARS to admit it.

That being said, I suggest you to keep away from this company. Their technicians are incompetent, and their ""customer support"" is totally helpless.

Terrible--how the hell are they still in business!? Deserving of 0 stars. No wonder they have 1.5 stars on Yelp (50+ reviews). I should have read their reviews beforehand. Our home warranty sent them out to fix our kitchen faucet handle that wouldn't stay up and would shut off. He said it couldn't be fixed and they would replace the whole faucet, but if we wanted a faucet with a detachable spray hose (like ours) he didn't have one & service would have to be rescheduled. I said ""fine we'll reschedule"" and then he was able to go out to his van and magically produce one with the spray hose. I believe he was trying to have us settle for the cheapest possible replacement rather than a like replacement. The guy was nice but took a very long time. Right after he left, we found the faucet wouldn't dispense warm/hot water, only cold, and there was a leak under the sink. Called office dispatch who had him return. He said the new faucet he installed must be faulty and he couldn't fix it. I asked him to go to Home Depot/plumbing store and get a new faucet and not leave until we had a working faucet with hot water (""can't--no time"") or re-install our former faucet that dispensed warm/hot water (""Can't--he cut hose/damaged when taking out). I asked him to call his boss, Bob, (Bob needs a new business model!) who instructed us to call our Home Warranty & request another service appt. but that they are booked up and ***couldn't return for several days*** OR ask them to send out another vendor. The tech had 4 other service calls to get to and he can only spend a certain amount of time on a home warranty repair. Their business model is totally unprofessional and left us in worse shape than we started (now no hot water) without taking responsibility for completing the repair correctly or in a timely fashion. It seems Home Warranty sends out the cheapest/worst businesses they can.

Worst service ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. This office has no idea what each of their technicians is doing. I was referred to this company by my home owners insurance. The first time they came out, the technician did a temporary fix and said he would have to order supplies. I said are you sure you don't want me to order the parts? They are under manufacturer warranty. He said no, we have to do it. Eleven days later the water heater breaks down again. I haven't heard from the company since the tech came out. I called on a Tuesday and asked when they were expecting our parts so we can schedule an appt. They said, we don't order the parts, you have to do it since the WH is under warranty. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I said your tech told me he HAD to do it. They said oh we never order parts. I said I would recommend you tell your tech that. Oh, he doesn't work here anymore. Fine, I'll order the parts. Ok we can be there next Tuesday - 1 week later. So for that week, my family and I continue showering at our local gym. Monday of the following week, I call to make sure they are coming to our Tuesday appt. Noelle confirms, yes, we'll be there on Tuesday between 10am-1pm. Tuesday comes, I stay home from work. 10, 11, 12, 1pm and no tech. I call to find out if he's going to be late. I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened but our scheduler didn't add your home to the route. We can be there next Tuesday. I finally speak to Bob, a supervisor and they squeeze me in on Thursday. A new tech comes on time on Thursday and ""fixes"" the water heater again. Friday we were fine. Saturday, after running some errands we come home to our entire house smelling like natural gas. PG&E came to check and it turns out the tech didn't tighten the pilot tubing and gas was escaping the entire time. Sunday night the water heater went out again.
Today, Monday, I called and asked to speak to Bob. Noelle tells me he's on the phone and will call me later. 2 hrs later no call. I call in and Noelle tells me that the manufacturer is clearly sending me the wrong parts. This is the 3rd time I will call for the same part. I said the manufacturer, who knows the error codes and what parts go with each error code, is sending me the wrong parts? Noelle - YES. Ok. Thank you. This company is a joke.

Our home warranty plan, Sears, did all they could to not honor their part of my plan.
I needed our hot water heater replaced and Sears sent Performance to tend to everything.
It took a couple months and it was no fault of Performance.
Sears repeatedly sent a gas hot water heater when we needed an electric one.
The owner of this company went out of his way to help out.
The work order clearly stated that we needed an electric water heater yet Sears kept sending out a gas one.
Grrrrrr...
Alex, the young man who did the job was professional, courteous, arrived on time despite coming to Orangevale from Modesto and he knew his job well.

I wish the Yelp has the 0 stars. Simple water leak from the water filler system only needs to replace the air-cap according to Bob. since July and STILL LEAKs because, according to Bob, purchasing from Amazon is not easy. Amazon?? buy something from Amazon takes more than 2 months of waiting?? it does not make any sense. So I told him, 'I will get the part and you come and replace it. since you buy it from Amazon, I will buy for you'. Suddenly Bob does NOT want to do the service anymore. Now I have to call my Home insurance company and yell at them!!! because they are the one who sends this terrible company to my home!!

Not sure why this company still exists with so many negative reviews. They were sent by my home warranty. Initial visit was a OK. Technician had a bad attitude but he did diagnose the issue and said will order replacement parts. Then after like 3 weeks we never heard back anything. I have to call twice to get a hang of them. From my hwa account, it mysteriously was marked completed. These guys are just scammers. Stay away!

Numerous phone calls have been place trying to get them to finish a job they started last year. This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. I've been waiting over 6 months for them to finish a water heater installation. They put in water heater ok but never replaced the old water valve & new piping they charged $885 extra to replace. This was suppose to bring everything up to current water heater codes. What a rip off company they are. Wish I had read reviews before allowing home warranty company to use them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I made a ticket through my home warranty and when they came to view the problem they disregarded everything i told them and said they will just swap out the ceiling fan.
They made a far out appointment to replace the fan. I took a day off work to be here for the replacement. The scheduled appointment was from 11-2 getting close to 2 i call them and the guy who answers the phone says oh i dont see any appointment made for you. I was so irritated because why would i take the day off work if there was no appointment. The guy on the phone didnt care about my situation instead he chuckled and said you can call your warranty and get another company to do it.
Well thank you for your amazing service Performance Electrical i truly hope your company goes out of business it looks like im not the only affected customer. Ill be sure to let my friends and family to steer away from this company. I will definetly call my warranty provider and have them switch me out and also let them know that this is not a company they should even consider for future business.

**Update** Contacted my warranty 210HBW- turns out that Performance Electrical had already billed them stating that the service was already completed. Wow! They are big time scammers. My warranty is sending a report to contractors relations hopefully they realize that this company is only creating issues for their customers.
