If I could give it 0 stars I would have. This company pulled a fast one and refused to make the situation right. I had septic tank that was backing up. I called them and they told me that there was a rusted pipe that needed to be replaced and lines needed to be jetted after. They said they would cut me a deal if I did the pipe with them they would cut $1000 off the price of the jetting. Not knowing what the problem was I agreed. They replaced the pipe the next day and did so very quickly. However they did not call me back. When I finally was able to reach Scott A. two days later he told me that he changed his mind and that the jetting would be a bad idea and would cause lots of damage to the septic. He still charged me the full amount even though he didn't complete the job. When I called another company out to finish the job they had no issues jetting the lines and fixed the problem in two hours for half the price. They also confirmed my suspicion that replacing that portion of the pipe was completely unnecessary.

I would avoid this company at ALL costs and DO NOT do any business with Scott Ackerman. He will push a sale that isn't actually needed.

We hired this company to come out to a property we were going to purchase to check the furnaces and AC units because some issues arose during inspection. To have the company come out it was $50 service charge. We then asked for them to service and run diagnostics on the units that were not working (which was 4 units) at a cost of $50 per unit, they did this service for all the units in the house (6 units - 4 furnaces and 2 a/c) which was fine. Jason was on time and spent about 3 hours at the house looking at each unit. When he left, I paid him and he told me that Bill would contact me the next day to review what he found, the repair costs, and the possible replacement costs if needed. Bill also told me that he would be calling me Wednesday night to discuss the options. On Wed. Bill called and told me that all the units in the house needed to be replaced at an approximate cost of $23,000 - I thanked him and asked for him to provide this in writing so that we could submit it to our lawyer. Bill said he would have it to me later that night. I again talked to him at 10 pm to confirm he had my email and again he told me he would be sending it that night. Thursday morning I still did not have an email, so I called and left a message with the office. My husband called again at 1 pm and then I had to call again at 4 pm. At 4:55 pm I got an email estimate from Bill to replace 3 furnaces and 2 A/C for $18,000. This email also stated that he would email me the following day with the repair costs for the 4th furnace. Friday my husband responded to Bill's email and asked him for the repair costs in writing so we could submit that to our lawyer. Bill responded that he would ""absolutely have it to you by Monday"". On Monday, we still did not have anything in writing as to what we paid $350 for. I again called the office at 4:45 pm and was told that the information is in my account and I would be called right back. I have still not received a call back a day and a half later and we still do not have a write up as to what is wrong with the HVAC systems in the house, just a quote to replace them for $18,000.

During this time, the home owners had another HVAC company come out to check the system, perform minor service and clean at a cost of $500 and provide a certificate that it is all in working order now.

Due to the fact that Perfect Home Services is refusing to put anything into writing as to what is wrong with the systems that would warrant 18K+ in new machines is leading us to believe that they are lying to get business.

I had a new AC unit installed by Perfect home services only to have the unit stop working after 2 days. They came and replaced the unit again. Less than 2 years from the time the initial unit was put in the A/C unit is not working again. I called Perfect Services but because I did not have the annual service completed through their company they will not honor the warranty of the unit. Their annual service fees are expensive when compared to other heating and cooling companies. I will never use perfect services again and would not recommend them. They have multiple ""small print"" conditions that will end up costing you more money down the road.

Jed was EXTREMELY friendly and knowledgeable. He walked through each process step-by-step and happily answered any questions I had. Jed also allowed me to ask questions about other sewer/water related issued that did not specifically relate to the service he was performing today. He was very professional and trustworthy.
I will use and recommend Perfect Home Service again, without hesitation!

If you are an Angie's List member, you will find my *very* detailed review of the $79 rodding/camera service.

NOTE: If you purchase service for rodding and televising your sewer line, be aware that they send out two separate people. One person does the rodding while the other person evaluates your problem with the camera. Make sure when you schedule that they schedule the rodding service *before* the camera service. Otherwise you might have blockage that the camera cannot break past and you may not get a fully qualified assessment of your problem. As long as you stay on top of this the day of your service call you will be in fine shape.

In a nutshell, I took advantage of an Angie's List special where Perfect Home Services rodded my sewer line and sent a camera down to identify my problem.

Jed and Jason were extremely thorough and professional. Jason is truly an expert in sewer systems; instead of giving me a technical explanation he gave me a very ""consumer-oriented"" explanation and backed up his explanation by walking through my sewer line with his camera instead of a technical explanation. His manner and delivery were not berating in any way; I've had other plumbers talk down to me which can be extremely frustrating.

I had asked Jason for references, and he did not hesitate. He literally went to his car to fetch his laptop and gave them to me. I had references shortly after the time it took to boot up his laptop. I've had other service professionals promise to call me back with references and then never follow through, so this was extremely refreshing.

Disappointed in Perfect Home Services. Did not show up or call the day of the appointment, no phone call. Was late the day of the re-scheduled appointment, no phone call. Sent preliminary proposal and did not respond with an official proposal. Evidently own another company that I called to get another quote. They were fired before even being hired. Hard to believe in this day and age that companies operate like this.

This review is for the TECHNICIAN only. The service technician (Ben, Bubba, Robert - I was given three different names) was great. He was honest upfront, courteous, and helpful. He tried hard to regain our trust in the company. I would have purchased larger projects like hydrojetting and drain re-lining right there and then because I appreciated his effort. However, because of the company's issues, I thankfully did not. I am only doing this review for his benefit on ReviewBuzz.

Here's my entire experience:

I called the customer service on Thursday, May 30th and spoke with Amber PRIOR to purchasing a deal on Angie's List. I asked if there would be ANY additional charges beyond the $88 and was told NO. So I purchased it. I set an appointment through Amber for 8AM-12PM. I was told I would receive a phone call during that time frame and thirty minutes prior to the technician's arrival.

Friday, May 31st at 11:45AM, I called wondering what the status of our rodding and televising was. It was Amber again who patched me through to dispatch. I told the dispatcher that I was given a time frame from 8AM to 12PM for our service. She responded to me that they ""refrain from giving time frames"". I realized this miscommunication was not her fault, but she did not sound like she really cared at all that my husband and I sat here waiting all morning for a technician to come out. She told me that it will take the technician a few more hours, then we would receive a call.

I get a call around 2:15-2:30pm that the technician would be out around 3pm. Then I get a call around 2:50pm that he will be arriving at 3:20pm because he typed in the wrong directions. Although I was not happy about that, I could let that one go. I asked him about the televising and was told that he did not have a camera on his vehicle. I asked if someone would be coming then with in a separate truck with a camera since I bought a deal that included rodding and televising. He said he would find out and call me back. I received a call around 3:02pm stating that he would arrive somewhere between 3:30pm and 3:45pm because he would stop at the shop to pick up a camera. Again, not the technician's fault but the company's. Why would you sell this idea of ""rodding and televising"" to potential loyal customers but not follow through with your advertising??? Deceptive, I'd say.

Very irritated at this point, I calmly called the company back and spoke with Niki. I explained to her that I was so far unhappy with the practices of the company considering this was my first experience with them and a way to judge my future business transactions with them. Since this company provides several service repairs, I informed her that I had an entire house to be rewired, major plumbing projects, and HVAC repairs in our near future. To let my husband go as customers was a very bad idea. She tried to recover the company from the let-downs and told me that she would e-mail the manager about my complaints thus far. I was told I would hear back from her via phone.

Bubba showed up and was apologetic. He ran water in the proper places to see where the water backup was occurring from. He opened our access drain and saw it was very clogged up with roots. We discussed a few scenarios and decided to just try the rodding and televising through the access drain for starters. He then informed me that it was $88 plus a $40 service charge. But wait... Prior to buying the deal, Amber told me that NO additional fees would be tacked on to the $88. I was put out but did not take it out on him or mention anything initially. He rodded once and said it was one of the worst cases he's seen with roots in a drain. He suggested hydrojetting which was something I had contemplated before as this is a fixer-upper home. I almost impulsively bought it because he wasn't annoying with his sales pitch, but then I remembered everything that happened before and waited to see if the company could make a final recovery.

Bubba left, I promised him I would do this ReviewBuzz and use his reference for sales if I decided to continue business with the company. Unfortunately for him, I will not do business with this company after all of this aggravation. I don't care if it is Saturday today. If you provide 24/7 service like your website states, then you better provide 24/7 customer satisfaction. I have not received any communication from any leadership in that company regarding my terrible 1st experience. I don't need to be calling them a 2nd time either for followup from my initial call. If you have a customer who has multiple jobs reaching in the thousands of dollar, you betcha I'd be working hard to regain their trust. A company expects you to respect their time and pricing. What about my lost 8 hours yesterday waiting? What about my $40 that I was not informed about even though I asked from the get go? No thank you FAR FROM Perfect Home Services.
