These are the worst people in the world. Do NOT use them!!! We were stuck with them through our American Home Shield insurance. As a result we were treated like second class citizens. We had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment for a leak coming from our shower through our ceiling. When they came the guy did not have the proper equipment to fix it. We were told the pipe needed to be soddered and a new shower nozzle needed to be installed to stop the leak behind the wall of the shower. We had to wait another week for the one guy who has soddering equipment to come. He arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment time and when we weren't home yet and we asked them to wait 10 minutes while we pick our daughter up at preschool. They said okay but left anyway! Once they finally came back they refused to fix the shower nozzle even though both technicians have said its poor installation is a major contributing factor to the leak and if we do not replace it, the pipe will spring a leak again in a year. Now I have to have another plumber out to fix the other issue. They just want to get more money out of you rather than actually fix your plumbing problem.
Once they finally agreed to make the repairs they claim to have soddered the pipe and installed the nozzle. They did not test the shower to make sure the leak did not continue. A day later the leak was just as bad if not worse then when they started this repair. When we called them back to come have fix the work that was not done properly they once again were scheduling us with a plumber who did not have the ability to sodder pipes. When we demanded someone who could immediately address our problem that is now going on 3+ weeks they hung up on us. When we called back they refused to service the repair they guarantee for 30 days. The receptionist is incredibly nasty and not helpful and the plumbers have no idea what they are doing!! You are throwing away your money!!
DO NOT USE!!! Especially if you are using an insurance plan to deal with your issue. They agreed to accept these plans and they benefit by getting business from them. I live 30+ miles away I would never have called a plumber in Keyport to do this job otherwise. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible. Thirty days waiting for a part for electronic starter on my hot water heater. Come on guys. Avoid like the plague
I called peoples plumbing today as I had an appointment on Tuesday and the weather made it impossible for peoples plumbing to come out.
The receptionist argued wth me that she did call to cancel and reschedule the appointment.
She did not and then she admitted she dialed the wrong number. I asked for today and she said no only tomorrow, I said I would call AHS and request a different company.
She then was able to squeeze me in. So they send two very young service techs and
they looked in my drain and said, here's your problem. I had dropped a small piece of plastic
in the drain and the flip top of a can, I did that today. He said that's what caused my leak,
what he didn't realize is that I called last week about a leak, not today. It's an 8 year old garbage disposal, at the end of it's life expectancy. Maybe all it needed was to tightened
in the joints, I don't know
I know that he did that bc he was here late on a Friday and annoyed that he was here, not bc that caused the problem.
Anyway, I have a different company coming tomorrow. No more peoples plumbing
The sewer line from my house was clogged. I contacted 4 different plumbing companies. ""Peoples Plumbing"" was the first to come to my house. Sergio (the tech) looked at the outside of the house and the inside drain piping. Within 10 minutes, he felt he knew what the problem was. He cleaned out the ""trap"" using a power snake and immediately, the sewer line was cleaned out. The entire process, from arrival to finish, took about 20 minutes...great! Sergio was both professional and personable. He knew his business and went about it quickly a nd efficiently...good guy. Also, the price was the price... no extras. Overall, a very good experience.
Licia M.My brother needed someone when his heat stopped working. We all know although it has been warm for November it can change really quick. They called right back, were prompt and in the long run honest. The first gentleman to show Matt quickly determined the job was above his personal grade and he contacted Sergio to seek advise and direction. Sergio and Omar came over and Sergio immediately demonstrated his extensive background and knowledge making us very comfortable and at ease. The job was a really big deal as my brother need his entire board replaced (it was original to house and basically expected). Sergio said he would look into the part, call back and return to instal it himself. All three gentlemen we personally dealt with were polite, professional, neat and would put anyone at ease dealing with them. BIG PLUS...LOCAL company. Your a name not number. They care about you wanting them again for any other service you may need in the future. I personally live in Belmar and was very happy to hear they would go there should I ever need their services. They handle, boilers, furnaces, water heaters, HVAC jobs and so much more. Great experience overall, lets face it repairs are a pain but a necessity when your a homeowner. Use these guys and it will be painless. Sergio, keep up the great work!
I had an appointment on the schedule with more than two weeks notice. They gave a 4-hour window. No call. No show. I called their number with an hour left in the window and had to leave a voice message. No return call. I do not recommend this company.
So we called Peoples for a leaky faucet and in a different bathroom, a running toilet. Despite being overcharged $400 for both jobs and changing out a showerhead, all were installed fine. However, when they left, the toilet next to the sink was running. They were not supposed to work on this toilet. However, I noticed that while they were in this bathroom, the lid of this toilet was on the floor and so were the shampoo bottles that were on the lid. So they obviously opened the tank. And after they left, the toilet was running continuously. So obviously, they tampered with the toilet and left it running broken without fixing what they broke. I am at home all day and use that toilet the most, so I would know when and if it was broken. If it was running before I called the plumber, I would have added it to the list of things for them to fix. But it wasn't. They left the house after breaking that toilet.
So I called them back the next day to fix the toilet they broke. Instead of owning up to their mistake, apologizing and saying they would fix it for free, the plumber denied breaking it and argued that it was not tampered with. Which was just a cover up for their mistake. What enraged me more was that he wanted to charge me $150 to fix a toilet that they broke!!! What a scam. STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLES PLUMBING!!!
Janet O.Stay AWAY FROM PEOPLE PLUMBING....They left me with no air-conditioning for 1 week as of today still no answer to what the problem is. I was just told by Danielle in the office that I was rude...No Danielle I'm not rude I'm livid with the inept customer service!!! Always check reviews before you hire someone one..lesson learned.
He charged my wife $212 for 15 minutes of routine plumbing work. He did not replace or repair any parts. It was not an emergency call. He was at our house for a total of 20 minutes. That's $636 per hour!
as of today, 10/19/15, i'm having the same problem i had back in june, which i had for the
first time in 15 years. i called them and they only guarantee their work for 30 days, which
is unacceptable. DON'T CALL THEM.
