I have had 2 completely separate negative experiences hiring Peninsular Plumbing and would like to share my experiences with you to help you understand why I do not recommend hiring Peninsular Plumbing. My observation is that they have very low standards for the plumbers they on board and send to your home. Peninsular Plumbers: broke my bathroom tile and roughly patched it up, installed a brand new utility sink that was leaking water immediately after they left (plumber promised to return and fix it but instead went AWOL), and they sold me a $600 faucet that retails online at Wayfair for $200 (looked it up by model number for an exact match). Most recently, due to the insistence of my mother and against my better judgement, I hired Peninsular to install my brand new dishwasher because I needed a plumber to replace the waterline because of the way my kitchen is set up. The plumber: 1) did not replace the waterline and instead just connected the brand new dishwasher to the old waterline, 2) used the old washer's power cord (instead of using the brand new power cord I provided), and when the dishwasher wasn't working correctly giving us an error code pointing to installation error he insisted he had installed it correctly, spent a ton of time on the phone with the manufacturer trying to trouble shoot the issue and concluded that the dishwasher must be defective. My heart sank when he handed me a bill for almost $400 for installing a dishwasher that wasn't even working. After he left, I noticed the dishwasher door was severely hitting only one side of the dishwasher, revealing that the dishwasher was definitely not level - another trigger for the installation error code we kept getting. After getting the dishwasher installed properly by a different vendor (me literally double paying for installation), I contacted Peninsular with significant evidence (pictures and a written affidavit from the installer who installed it correctly) demonstrating Peninsular Plumber's improper and incomplete installation to kindly request a refund for their improper installation. Unfortunately, Peninsular did not respond positively in an effort to make it good to me, instead, they were more interested in protecting their interests, literally stating: """"By law we have to have the opportunity to make the work right when something is done improperly or not to your liking. It's called the """"Right to Repair Act"""". Once you file a complaint with the contractor (Peninsular Plumbing) we have 45 days to respond by offer to remedy, compromise or settle, and/ or dispute the claim. When your mom called on 5/20/17 you already had a new installer there who told you that we did that work improperly and was proceeding to correct it. At the point of call we have the opportunity to remedy the situation. Now that you had the work done already by someone else we are not able to remedy our work."""" This is ridiculous. Peninsular is now requesting that I take EVEN MORE time off of work, on top of all the time and money I've already spent thanks to their improper installation, to entertain them coming to visit me at my home to look at the properly installed dishwasher before they can even entertain refunding me for their improper installation (despite all the pictures and written affidavit evidence that I've shown them - with the biggest piece of evidence being that the dishwasher started working once it was installed correctly by a different vendor). If you are considering hiring Peninsular Plumbing, I urge you to please reconsider. If one of their plumbers performs work that literally does not work, you cannot (against your better judgement) try to fix the problem immediately by someone else, otherwise, they are """"not able to remedy"""" their work and will make you jump through hoops and take even more time off of work to entertain them looking at the final working product someone else did correctly the first time, so they can maybe, just maybe, have a conversation with you about making it good to you. I wish Peninsular would take greater care in recruiting qualified plumbers and at least have a good training program in place so the plumbers can do the work correctly the first time. Based on my 2 completely separate bad experiences, Peninsular does not take great care in the quality and experience of the plumbers they bring on staff and ultimately send to your home. Unfortunately, both the plumbers that Peninsular sent to my home were very money driven (both totally overcharged me for incomplete and improper work). What's even sadder than poor recruitment practices is that Peninsular as a company, won't stand behind their work and make it good to you, the consumer, even if we, the consumers, present them with overwhelming evidence that work was done improperly. It is never my intention to hurt a business by writing a negative review, but I need to advise the general public against hiring Peninsular based on my two separate experiences with them.

I used Peninsular to install both drain line and water service to our new outdoor kitchen. They sent an EXPERIENCED plumber to properly pitch and install both drain and water service to the kitchen. Met the deadline for the paver and pergola company so it didn't delay their work. Extremely responsive and insightful on finalizing the kitchen setup as well. Look forward to having them back to complete the install once the kitchen is done.

The plumber was very knowledgeable and worked diligently to repair my service. However the conversation my wife had with the secretary was more painful to listen to then ordering fast food in a drive thru. She was unprofessional and seemed to be concerned about everything other than the call she was on. I even suggested she hang up and call another company based on that. However I am happy with the service we received from the plumber himself and would call them again. Hopefully any future calls will not be handled by a child.

No one wants to call a plumber but when you do this is an excellent plumber to contact. My mother's house in Hyde Park had a plumbing issue just before Christmas. Attempts were made to resolve it but it persisted. They showed up promptly and effectively did some initial damage control. They showed up again right after another, but related, problem surfaced and addressed it as best they could. At no additional cost. When there were still some leakage problems they came back, worked on the problem and then came back again and, due to street repair issues, walked two blocks to get to her home and fixed the problem. Nice to have a business that is responsive and stands by its work.

Great customer service, Peninsular has always come quickly when called and given us honest advice on fixing our plumbing needs. We've replaced a water heater, repaired the other (twice), and fixed toilet problems. I'd highly recommend using Peninsular.

Save yourself the hassle and money, do not work with Peninsular Plumbing! They charged more than several other companies but we went with them because we believed we would be getting a thorough completion of work. We were incredibly disappointed when after replacing our pipes our two toilets were still not working. We were finally able to speak to the owner after 4 days to be told that in his business sometimes they under quote and sometimes they over quote, sometimes they have to """"eat it and this time we would have to eat it."""" He then refused to fix the toilets because that turns out to be a separate issue. For $3,000 two working toilets is not too much to ask for.

We've used Peninsular Plumbing for various repairs and I've been very happy each time. I don't normally write reviews, but we've dealt with so many mediocre vendors during our home renovation that the really good ones deserve the credit. The service technicians have been knowledgeable, professional and prompt. I placed a service call after Hurricane Irma and a technician was at my house within two hours. Not only did he give us reasonable repair and replacement quotes for our 16 year old hot water heater, but they had it replaced within the same morning. The always pleasant office staff filed the Teco rebate paperwork the same day and followed up to say it had been filed for us. We've had nothing but a pleasant experience with them and plan to use them for our plumbing needs in the future.

I am rather disappointed with the service provided by Peninsular Plumbing. The technician did not offer to wear boot covers or remove their shoes, so they tracked dirt through our house and onto our new white carpet. More importantly, they severely inflated the cost of acquiring and installing a new water softener. The service tech claimed the cost of the water softener to him was $1,200 and it would be $1,600 with the installation. I certainly understand that they are striving to operate a profitable business, however, the true cost of the water softener turned out to be $700 online. I would have appreciated greater pricing honesty. What makes it even worse is that the water softener installation wasn't completed properly and we had resin and orange water for most of the evening. The resin also clogged up the new kitchen faucet that they installed. After 3 days our water still has a yellow tint. Hopefully, my experience is just a one off and not typical for this company. I would recommend comparing pricing with an independent plumber, who may install items that you purchase on your own for less.

Absolutely LOVED working with this company! We got connected by a warranty company that sent 3 previous companies out who couldn't fix my Hot Water Heater. They diagnosed it immediately and was able to get me up and running in hours!!! I'm so thankful for their kindness and efficiency of this company!! Thanks guys!!
