We have used Joe Pekny for years...now has an answering service, called a few weeks ago, and again recently, no response...asked by service if needed someone to come right away... is Joe only taking immediate service calls? What's up?
Would give 5 stars for service he has done but now with not responding at all....

I was recommended by a relative. I had a backed up sink and he fixed it! He had all the right tools to get the job done. You get the feeling that he has been doing this for many years. I will be using him for all of my plumbing needs! He also charges a fair price for the work that is done.

Friendly, honest, quality work. He shows up on time, explains things well and takes great care with his work. We've hired Pekney plumbing for a number of projects and we've always been happy with the results. On a few occasions the issue ended up being significantly less than what we originally anticipated. Rather than take advantage of the situation like some people might Joe explained everything and saved us time and money. We've also had a water heater go out late on Friday afternoon, and Joe was able to come out that day with a new one saving us from a weekend without warm water.

Have used Joe for at least 10 years. Use him not only at our house, but more often at a 4 flat we own. Good work, fair prices, and shows up when he says he will. And shows up quickly if it's an emergency. Can't recommend him highly enough!

I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, so I called Pekny Plumbing......heres the story......I told him what I needed and had the parts, so I asked if he could give me an estimate....HANG ON ! ...$145.00 per hour...wow thats $1160.00 for an 8 hour day, or $2,326,960.00 per year, based on a 2006 hour work year so if you need a water heater replaced.... 3hour max labor.... thats $435.00 plus the cost of the heater...$350.00 average price.....thats $785.00 for the fix...WOW ....
P.S. I called a local plumber.....$60.00 and Im good to go.took him 35 min.

Joe was an incredible find when we moved into an old house. He's easy to contact, arrives when scheduled and does outstanding work. He stepped in at the last minute during a big project when another plumber that the village recommended turned out to be a disaster.
