Fred Pearson was very rude and had an attitude the whole time. Refused to take off his shoes and then when I said it was fine to wear shoes he made a questionable comment about not taking off his shoes for anyone. He wanted to go into the master bathroom to turn on the faucet and when I said my wife is sleeping, his response was she shouldn't be sleeping at this time. Before I could say anything else he said he was leaving. He walked out on the job leaving the plumbing exposed and then demanded money.
Fred had come highly recommended by several people on a community Facebook page, but my experience was far from positive. When someone recently commented on that same page about Fred's refusal to wear a mask, the complaints about him began to flow rapidly. Complaints were primarily about his rude demeanor and refusal to wear a mask but also included complaints about his work.
We hired Fred to fix a leak in a pipe extending from our ejector pump. Initially, I was grateful Fred spent some time troubleshooting with me over the phone, but eventually, I became frustrated that he refused to believe the problem was our ejector pump. My father in law is a former general contractor. He had bumped around, determined it was our ejector pump, and even jury-rigged a short-term fix for us, so we were SURE it was the ejector pump (and it turned out we were right). Even explaining this, Fred was unconvinced and dismissive of my FIL's credentials. I also was initially pleased Fred wanted to order parts before coming over to save us both time and save himself a second trip, but he ended up ordering parts we didn't need and then charged us for them and left them. The price wasn't worth getting haggling over, but it was irritating.
But, by far, the biggest issue was Fred's demeanor toward me. I could not, for the life of me, get Fred to answer my questions fully and directly. I don't know much about plumbing, but I like to understand our household problems and the solutions and am quite capable of doing so if someone will just take a couple of minutes with me. I've never had another contractor who resisted like Fred did. I finally got fed up and told my husband he was going to have to deal with Fred because it was clear Fred had an issue with me, almost certainly because I'm a woman. My husband balked at my explanation but stepped in anyway while I took a breather. Five minutes later, full explanation delivered to him by Fred, my husband apologized. ""You were right. He needed to talk to a man.""
When I posted my experience to our Facebook community page, other women shared similar stories.
Fred DID fix our ejector pump issue, and it has been problem free since, but I will never use Fred Pearson again and do not recommend him.
Sir G.So Fred (owner of Pearson Plumbing and Heating) is making a bit of a name for himself and not in a good way.
Fred was recommended on a Facebook platform to do some plumbing work but he refused to wear a mask in the house during the height of the pandemic with vulnerable people inside. He apparently claimed that he is ""COVID free"" and does not want to wear a mask.
Not sure if dummy understand COVID and how the disease works. One minute you COVID free Freddie and the next you not!
So, this sparked me to do some background on this dude. Turns out MANY people had the same experience with this douchebag. He has no website and the reviews that we could find were terrible. Simply read those right here on Yelp.
Not only is he wildly reckless and irresponsible with his own customers health it turns out that he is a major d&ck and terrible plumber to boot.
A quick poll of the Facebook platform where this was reported revealed that he is rude, pushy, bombastic, sloppy, etc.
Do your research before you hire people. Look at Yelp reviews that was generated by real people with real experiences.
Freddie, if you dispute what is being claimed please reply to this review. I would be happy to amend it after you give us your side of the story. But, here's me thinking that arrogance at that level does not care what real people are saying about your stupidity.
We were recommended to Fred Pearson but I'm honestly not sure why! Communication was spotty from the get go -- I had to send him my address twice because he ""couldn't find it,"" he then told us he couldn't give us an exact time and would let us know a half hour before he comes... He didn't.
He came on a rainy day and didn't have anything to cover the floors and refused to take his shoes off so we used every towel we own to cover our hallway for him to go in/out to his van. Our carpets were left a mess from all of the stuff that fell out of our ceiling, there was a large circular stain left on the carpet as well, he left plumbers grease all over our wall, somehow managed to bleed on the wall, managed to knock our bookcase over while trying to put it back and called me in to fix it (while I was in the middle of taking care of my two young children). After he left I noticed that he had also gone into the next room over and used our trash can for some reason... It had that silver stuff he was using to weld the pipes all over it, inside and out, as well as a puddle of water in the bottom. Good thing I didn't care about that trash can at all. My bed was also located near the pipes he was repairing and that ended up with plumbers grease and that metal stuff on it as well. At least I was already doing laundry to wash every towel in the house.
This guy Curtis Pearson was an incredible prick. Barged into our house, didn't take off his filthy shoes, snapped at my family, and snarled at us all the way through like he was doing us a favor. Also coughing and sneezing all over the place without covering his filthy mouth while we have a viral pandemic going on. You can find better plumbers at better prices than this jerk.
Leslie B.I had a leak under my sink and Fred was able to get here the next day. It was fairly complicated given a reverse osmosis system, leak from the sink drain as well as needing a new garbage disposal. Fred took care of all of it quickly. Things were cleaned up beautifully and prices were reasonable
