Shawn has done several jobs for us and was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The first job he did for us was to fix the job of another plumber who installed a new tankless water heater. The hot water didn't even last a minute. The guy said how much time do you need to take a shower? Duh, longer than 30 seconds. Shawn added the pipes, tubes, and other things needed for it to work right which the first guy didn't do. He did quite a lot of work but he charged very little. My husband and I wished we knew about Peabody Plumbing & Heating before we hired the first guy, who wasn't cheap and botched the job on top of it. The second time Shawn replaced our kitchen faucet and did a great job, fast and efficient. Shawn is trustworthy and reasonably priced. Thanks Shawn!

Peabody plumbing and heating did an absolutely wonderful job fixing my shower! I've had plumbers in the past look at it and not be able to fix it. The father and son worked together very quickly and professionally, and were able to locate the problem and fix it within the hour! They were very personable people and had a wonderful attitude. Shawn Peabody came immediately when we called regarding a leaky old water heater.
After discussion with us, he got a great replacement. He and Gordon were back the next day and not only installed the new, but also removed the old which was stone lined and weighed several hundred pounds. He had an electrician on standby who was here within an hour of installation to complete the job. We had hot water 30 minutes later.
We appreciated his prompt service which helped avoid a flooded basement.
Our son has had Shawn replace his water heater, installed new shut off valves, hooked up his new gas stove and installed a new bathroom vanity. He had to reconfigure the plumbing to get the new vanity to fit!
We would highly recommend Shawn and his son Gordon for any plumbing job.

Shawn Peabody is one of the worst plumbers/HVAC guys you could ever have the misfortune to meet. I moved into a house which, unfortunately, had a heating system installed by this man. From the previous homeowner's paperwork, he had installed this new heating system just under a year before I took ownership. A brand new system and ONE year after being in the house I started to have issues with leaking pipes that weren't soldered together correctly, among other issues. I contacted Shawn and he told me he wouldn't service the system. He said he remembered the address, said the family that hired him was ""nice,"" but he wouldn't service it. He was extremely rude on the phone, he said he was in an attic and ""didn't have time for this."" He hung up on me before I could even finish explaining the issue. It almost sounded like he recalled the job a little too well. I called several months later when I could not find one other person in Western Massachusetts to fix his mess because there were so many things wrong with how he piped the boiler, etc. This call was made in the dead of winter on the coldest night of the year, 2 degrees Farenheight, when I had my six month old son freezing practically to death. It was 50 degrees in my house, the heat was not working at all and one of my water pipes was now frozen. He answered the phone and as soon as I started to explain my problem to him he hung up on me! I called back, as I was desperate for help and he had his wife answer the phone and tell me that he would not be able to help me. I asked her if they had kids and how she would feel if she had a new baby in a house with no heat and the twenty people she called to fix it had no idea how because her husband did some very specific things to the system. She mumbled something about trying to talk to him and then she said a quick goodbye and hung up. Not only is he poor at his trade, he's a heartless jerk! I explained the situation to a master plumber who was eventually able to solve the issues I had with the system but not after much trouble. He told me that he's met many people in the area that have a complaint about this guy, that he does a lot of ""hit and run"" jobs. I write this hoping to save some poor person from getting involved with this guy. He will not help you! He wants to make his money on a quick hack job and get out, never to return. RUN, don't walk, when you hear this guys name.

Peabody has come to my rescue twice.
He was honest and straightforward.
Even on the job that was not a good fit for him, (sewer drain cleaning) he gave me an excellent recommendation on who would.

He's lucky enough he even got one star. We called him to do a job in November and only showed up in January. And it took him 6 weeks to do a weeks worth of work. He is by far the worst and most unprofessional person I've worked with. I wish I had one nice thing to stay but I don't. I don't recommend him to anyone.
