Payne Plumbing and Sanitation Company began in 1956 with Bob and Bill Payne. They handled septic tank installations and plumbing for rural areas. With quality service, reasonable rates, and a commitment to happy customers, the company grew fast.

By 1960, Bill Payne had secured his Master Plumber certification in Shreveport. They branched out into major residential and minor commercial plumbing work. In 1968, the National Association of Plumbing Contractors honored Bill Payne as Contractor of the Year. By 1970, heating and air conditioning services were added to their offerings.
