after getting completely jerked around by roto rooter (who had previously, as recent as jan 5th this year, done good quick work) having set up appointment for sat 3 pm on friday day so over 24 hours in advance i'm given the round around where it's entirely clear the dispatchers simply don't always even communicate with plumbers at all (was told 90 minute lateness is possible, which is fine, at 90 minutes late no plumber had yet been contacted, was told ""5-7 window"" then at 7 still no ETA and dispatchers still hadn't actually given job to any plumber, yet of course dispatchers make the cost higher, even though yesterday they weren't doing any actual job at all) we called paul's plumbing here, he in less than 30 minutes on a sat night shows up, fixes toilet, all done and over with in maybe 10 minutes. and charges less than the well known companies since he doesn't have a useless dispatcher department that doesn't even actually communicate with actual plumbers.

very good, competitive pricing, very quick response and show up time, even on weekend night. support guys like this over any of these known companies that while in theory have more resources thus charge more simply are ran extremely badly and end up jerking you around where even if you call for appointments in advance keep you waiting with no useful ETA info at all even 28 hours after appointment was set and 4 hours into agreed upon time when we just cancelled that claptrap. good god only knows how long we'd still be waiting for a 10 minute plumber job (and eventually would've likely paid more too) if not for paul here.

Toilet was making a banging noise. Looked online and determined it was probably float valve. This guy was local so I called him instead of my normal handyman who was out of town. It took him less than 30 mins to complete the job and he charged $435. He replaced the float,the shut off valve and line in between. What a rip off!!! He said he had to remove the toilet to get the the pipe for convenience but it doesn't look at all like was moved. I tried to discuss price and he just got mad. As a licensed realtor I have used many plumbers before and never had an absurd charge like this one. BEWARE!!

Paul came the next day after we called. He fixed the clog in our kitchen, installed a new disposal, hooked up the dishwasher to the disposal and even secured the pipes under the sink. Excellent work, we definitely have a new plumber!!!

Paul came on short notice. He's extremely knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. Once he realized I didn't have a clog, he reduced the price. Very fair and honest.

Water heater went out about 2am in the morning. My husband started calling plumbers at 7am.

One plumber had my husband send him pictures of our hot water heater. Then quoted my husband $900 for the part and over $1400 for the water heater.

Another plumber quoted him $900 without looking at the water heater.

My husband kept calling plumbers. He finally reached Paul of Paul's Plumbing and Basement Remodeling.
Paul agreed to come out and take a look this evening to let us know what was wrong and how much it would cost.

Paul looked at the water heater found the problem, (calcium build up on the igniter) cleaned it off. It took awhile because there was a lot of build up.
Paul was here less than an hour and had our water heater going.
Paul saved us over $1000. He was so nice and courteous.

If we have any more plumbing issues and/or need our basement worked on. We will be only calling Paul.

He is very good at what he does and is very professional and he won't try to overcharge you or sell you anything you don't need.

I needed to replace the faucet and handles on the garden tub. I called Paul on a Saturday and he came out the next day. I was preparing the house for showings since it's on the market. So I needed this done ASAP. Reasonable priced. Paul even went the extra mile and fixed a few other issues with the plumbing in another bathroom. Thank you Paul, you're a true gentleman.
