Recommended Customer Reviews

I had a similar experience with other people who left negative reviews. Their practice of not disclosing charges ahead of time and then letting customers know about an outrageous labor charge at time of service seems to be how they do business. My Rheem water heater failed, and Rheem agreed to a replacement. I followed the instructions on their website and chose one of the recommended contractors. Paul's Anytime Plumbing was out of my service area, but agreed to come out if I paid mileage. That charge was $119, and I am totally okay with that. I told the receptionist that we were in a crunch because we are under contract to sell our house, and closing is soon. The water heater was covered like for like. So bear in mind I would not be paying for a water heater. I made the arrangements on Monday for them to come out on Thursday between 8 and 10. On Thursday morning I received an email-when the techs were already at my house-stating INSTALLATION would cost over $1000. That is not the cost of the water heater and that's not the extra charge for drive time. I emailed back that I was not in agreement with this, and the receptionist blocked my email. I called them and stated that I didn't agree with this. She said she could give me a discount, bringing the installation charges down to $775. I said that was still too high. She said ""I can just have my techs leave,"" knowing we didn't have much of a choice at this point and hung up on me. I want to be clear that I wasn't friendly, but I was never abusive or yelling. She just hung up. In the end, I was charged $1000 for this anyway. As per reviews, the company appears to have a history of doing this. I've reported this to Rheem and the BBB

Erik was at our home on Monday to ""top-off"" the refrigerant on our air conditioning unit and, as always, he was prompt and professional. We are looking to purchase another home in Windsor, CO, and he also inspected the furnace and AC units at that home as well.
Erik is my 'go-to guy"" for service.
I am a satisfied repeat customer !!

The original plastic water line between the meter and our house started leaking under ground. Paul's was quick to schedule replacing it with copper and completed the job with no damage to the landscape. The response, service personnel, and repair were all exceptional!

They put in a boiler in our house for $8000.00. They forgot to put valves in to flush boiler. Found this out when we hired another plumber to flush the system and they told us Paul's should have installed the valves when they put the system in. They came out and installed the valves and still charged labor! They also put in a GFI plug where the boiler plugs in and failed to notice there was one in the bathroom which was next to the boiler room. You Can't put 2 GFIs on the same circuit. It causes nuisance tripping. They came out and put in a regular wall plug and charged us $125.00 for the new plug which runs .99 cents at Home Depot. I called and the lady at their office said, ""Well we can't do anything about that but we can credit you on your next service"". How do I know they are crediting me when they can just add charges somewhere else. I would not trust these guys to do the work and nor would I trust their charges.

ACTUALLY ZERO STARS!!!! They knew how to change my kitchen faucet. But they also took it out without telling me the cost, because ""he forgot to"". He then stated he could give a discount on the faucet but the total job price was $443. For what???!!!! I almost cried, he had me over a barrel at that point, and really I wanted him to just leave, but after some haggling got the price ""down"" to $378 total!! Whooptee. They told me the faucet was $100. So $278 for labor to change a faucet, and they were there an hour including the time that they left to go get a faucet at supply place!!! Plumbers who work for this company, you know the company you work for have tactics thatre dishonest, manipulative, and take advantage of customer! Work for someone reputable. I called and talked to office manager and she gave me a story about how owner was ""excavating"", that she wanted to make sure I was satisfied and would call me back the next morning. It's been days now, no call back, and suddenly she is unavailable. I had to pay lawyer once $250/hr, I don't expect to pay someone to change a faucet that rate!!!! Sorry, total rip off. DO NOT USE THEM!!! COMPLETELY OUTLANDISH, RIDICULOUS AND TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

the worst service, follow-thru, communications, and warranty program I have ever seen or experienced, Do NOT use these folks---unbelievable---RUNNNnnnnnn!!

When I submitted my original review, I had no expectations that I would ever hear back from them because of that review, but I was wrong. About three + weeks ago I received a Yelp message from a new employee at Paul's Anytime Plumbing Heating & Cooling asking me to please call her so that she could address the service I received which was the cause of my poor review of the company to begin with. I was pleastantly surprised and made a point to call her back. I recalled my experience to her, which was exactly what I had documented in my original review, and she patiently listened and informed me that the tech who had performed the service was no longer with the company. I was sorry to hear that, as he seemed friendly enough-and did a good job fixing the root problem that necessitated the service call in the first place, and I don't believe he was solely responsible for the excessively high repair charge that I had to pay for the brief repair (roughly 45-50 minutes) of the replacement of a $15-20 valve. I let the new girl know that when I called the office to complain about the $300+ bill I was laughed at by the receptionist and then passed off, to the now former tech, who said he did not make any commissions on repairs and simply said, ""we don't sell parts, we sell service"". She assured me that she would get back to me right away as the company wanted to make sure that they addressed this to my satisfaction.
Now, to apparently add insult to injury, it has been over two weeks since I spoke to the new employee, and not a peep from Paul's. I guess the roughly $200 that they made, over what the job really should have cost me, is far more important to the company than their reputation and the service and value they provide to their customers.

I used to use Paul's Plumbing before they added ""Anytime"". This latest outfit is a disaster. They send a kid to my house to find a leak - he seemed competent. However, he did not have the tools necessary to do the job - I had to lend them to him. He found and fixed the leak using my tools. When he left after 3 hours I went into the basement and found insulation strewn all over the floor - he had removed it while looking for the leak and he had not replaced it. It is guaranteed that I will not use Anytime Paul's Plumbing in the future.

Called this place for my clogged toilet. It was fixed in 5-10 minutes without the electrical snake. An additional 10-15 minutes was spent trying to talk me into replacing the toilets in my house and replace my water heaters because they were sure to lead imminently. For that 5-10 minutes and advice, I was charged $167.50. I should have asked for their price as it was listed right under Mr. Rooter who charges half that. I got the name from someone who had used them and have called to let them know of how unhappy I was with this cost.

No call no show. They pushed back the time two hours the day before which I was OK with. I asked if I can get an estimate or ballpark idea of how much it would be to have a toilet replaced before someone came out. I did not receive a call and 30 minutes after the push-backed appointment time I ended up having to call them and cancel since nobody called to tell me they were running late or that they would not be able to give me an estimate without looking at the work. The person I spoke to on the phone was not very professional either and definitely had a tone of attitude. It's sad because I have used them many years ago and their service used to be good. I should've looked at the yelp reviews first.
