Scheduled a Pauleys plumber to show up at 12pm on Saturday. No plumber showed, so I called and spoke to a woman in the office. She said someone would get a hold of me. No one did. I called back and let her know. She had a plumber named Brandon call. Brandon said 5pm-6pm he would come. I let him know that I would be home and if he was going to no show me to please let me know because I would have to miss out on Halloween with my kids. At 6:30 pm, still no plumber. Called and left a message at the office.

Absolutely unprofessional clown show that this company is trying to run. Came to Yelp and saw the low rating and not surprised to see 2 stars.

Complete waste of time - do not recommend at all. Unfortunately, for potential customers, their rep, Brandon is really giving the company a bad reputation. On a Thursday, called Pauleys to arrange for a sewer drain to be snaked. Brandon scheduled an appointment with me to come the following Monday. At the scheduled time, no call no show from Brandon. I called to inquire as to what happened. No reasoning or apologies given. He rescheduled for later that afternoon. When he arrived, I asked about use of wide cutters mentioned by the owner on a previous visit, which is the reason why I selected them. The owner said at the time he charges $160 for the service. Brandon quoted me a price of $1,800, yes $1,800 to snake a drain!! For a job that typically ranges from $125 to $190 max. I repeatedly asked how he could with a straight face justify the price. He stood firm on the price.. Of course I said 'no thank you' and he promptly left. I would have respected him more if he had admitted that he was just too shiftless to do the job. I called the office and left a message for the owner detailing what transpired. No return call. Afterwards, I called an actual reputable plumber who came out within the hour and did a professional and courteous job for $190. Shout out to John's Plumbing 313-886-7710, my new go-to plumber!

Don't trust this company. I had a leak that required a pipe to be capped. A ten minute job. Their plumber looked at it and quoted $1,100.00. That is right, over a thousand dollars. I called Father and Son and they did a great job, in 10 minutes and at one tenth the cost.

Would not recommend to anyone- my 80 year old mother called for a kitchen faucet to be installed. They came and totally took advantage of her. Told her she needed all water lines replaced and her drain stack. Charged her $7,800 and didn't even do all the work. I had two other plumbers look at their work and said her charged her 3-4 times more than normal and didn't even do all the repairs on invoice. Tried to get her money back but he denied any wrongdoing.

Something I forgot to mention in original 1 star review. We said there was no way we are paying $2,400 to fix what was NOT broke until you broke it doing the original job. So I hung up and they called back 6 times in a row telling me they want to help by fixing it for $2,400. So I kept hanging up on them without even saying hello. Extremely pushy and very unprofessional. I was the first to leave them a 1 star deserved review as you can see we were not the only ones who had issues with these rip off artists. Stay away or you will be sorry.

I had a wonderful experience. After three days of raining, I woke up to ankle high water in my entire basement. I called around for time and pricing and Pauley's was the only plumber able to come to my house immediately and their pricing was very affordable. I keep the business card on my fridge because they will be my first call next time!

Amazing company. Called and was able to get an appointment quickly. They were the third call I made no one else could get me in the same week. The techs were friendly and got the job done fast. Prices were fair. Will definitely use them in the future.

Called them for a price on some drain cleaning. They quoted the price on the phone, when done, they charged us way more than quadruple the price. Once arriving, he did say if the job took many hours to complete, the price would be much higher than quoted on the phone. But it only took a short time to do the job, but he still charged us the way higher price for the several hours the job did not require. I could understand maybe double the price - but over quadruple? It was a true price gouge for the work promised both on the phone, and in person.

I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

""WARNING"" The worst experience I have ever had. ""DO NOT USE"", They will give you a quote, charge you more, Be completely rude, and than argue and talk over you when you try to explain what your concern is. The quoted price was ridiculous to start with but we were in a pinch. Four times as much as any other Plumber stated the cost should of been. I wish I didn't make this mistake and go with the first one. STAY AWAY, Very unprofessional.

Beware of this rip off artist!!

I would not recommend this company to my enemies. The workmanship was poor with inflated rates on elderly people. When called to return concerning their work - they dodged us. When they finally showed, they were rude and wanted to charge thousands more to correct their initial work which was overcharged in the first place. I wish I could give them less than 1 star. We are considering a lawsuit for their unscrupulous work practices and calling Fox 2 Hall of Shame.
