I needed a water filter installed. I've seen the filter @ Home Depot for $79. The guy came in and quoted $1500. Within a couple of minutes it was down to $900. Same job no change in scope. Then it was what do you want to spend? He couldn't go below $800.I felt like I was buying a used car... According to Home Advisor this should be in the $200-$300 range.

Do NOT use this company. We were told on the phone there would be a $99 charge fo a weekend call. Tech came right on time, went to Home Depot for a $40 part, came back to install it. Total time(including trip to HD) was 90 minutes. Bill was over
$400. Sent email to request itemized bill. Never heard back. Buyer beware.

A little hard to tell right now. My mother and step dad got a quote to fix their bathroom floor which had been leaking for years. They also got a quote to replace a water heater. That part of the job was done well. The repairs to the floor were the issue. A subcontracted carpenter (Boucher) did the carpentry work. The floor was not supported with joists underneath. The top part of the floor was put in with several cut pieces of plywood which were not level when I inspected after the carpenters were done. The floor also shook when walked on and was not level. This was to be the subfloor for newly installed tile floor. Didn't I de well in my opinion. I called Paul the Plumber and they were responsive and understanding. They said the tile guy would fix the floor before installing tile. However, the person who went back to my mothers house the next day was owner of the carpentry company who did what I believe was shoddy work and not the tile installed. He told my parents and texted me that all that was needed were a few more screws to tighten down the plywood to the subfloor and the two scrap 2x4's they had laid under the subfloor on the wide flat to put the screw into. Not a good long term fix. But Boucher said that it was the right application for the job. Guess we will have to wait and see. So the floor is pretty much as it was. The tile will be installed today and tomorrow. My guess is that the tile will be cracking in not too long a time. Paul the Plumber says all their work is guaranteed, but let's see how responsive they are when problems develop. So this review is partial and I will advise when they say they are compete and some time has passed.

Update 02/07/18 - we'll almost 6 months have passed and so far no issues with the repair. Still level and solid. Will update again later in the year.

Outstanding customer service! You have to appreciate integrity and customer commitment in an age when it seems to be going to the wayside.
This is the business I would recommend anyone use for an installation as they really stand behind their work. Techs are always personable and very professional.

WAY too expensive. The problem was fixed, but I feel as if I was very overcharged for the amount of work and time it took.

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. The day before Thanksgiving, we had a leaky drain in our tub. They presented options to fix it, but then charged us $500 over what was quoted. We were charged over $1,200 to replace the drain and faucet in the shower - less than 2 hours of work. I contacted the office immediately to complain and the owner was supposed to get back to me - but never did. The worse part of the experience was that when the Plumber shut off the water in the basement, they poured water near the water heater and tried to make it look like the water heater tank was leaking and needed to be replaced. While trying to find the warranty for the water heater tank, I noticed that the water was drying up very quickly. We didn't replace it, and there hasn't been any water leakage since. I have never been more disgusted.

If I could give less than one star, I would. The quality of work is lacking, the ownership of work is lacking, and when they make a mistake, they do not own up to it. Instead they try to charge thousands of more dollars to fix the problem.

Had an emergency call to fix a mystery leak and was amazed when they showed up in less than 15 minutes! They were careful to show us what they discovered so we could see for ourselves and politely explained what needed to be done to fix it in lay man's terms. They were courteous and careful, even wearing booties to protect my home. They cleaned up after themselves more than I expected, considering the scope of the mess the leak had caused! I would highly recommend them and will use them again when we need any plumbing work.

Fantastic customer service from everyone involved. Mike and Kaleb, the two plumbers who came out were great. They were very polite and pleasant. Properly introduced themselves. Mike used boot protectors for his boots while on the main floor of the house. they both worked very quickly, efficiently and neatly. The price for the job and the time given were spot on accurate. the job was done to my complete satisfaction. They properly cleaned up and explained all the work that was done. I will be calling Paul The Plumber again and in the future for my service needs. Very satisfied customer.

Update. After a couple of weeks our HVAC started failing again. The air was actually blowing warm if at all. We had a friend who was an HVAC Tech come out (should have called him the first time but hate asking folks to do more work in their off time). He noted that while the previous service company had charged the freon, when they closed it up it was not closed properly causing a slow leak of the $400.00 worth of Freon filled. Accident or intentional? I don't know but just when I thought it could not get worse it did. Shady? Incompetent? Both? Our pal took care of us and the AC works better than ever. He also told us we were charged about twice what we should have been for freon. Stay away from this company at all costs. Hey Paul the Plumber I don't imagine you guarantee your work or provide refunds for work not done correctly do you? I would be happy to speak with you. Let me know if you stand by your work and employees. Would you like to present yourselves as having integrity and as a reputable company? If so, please contact me for a fair resolution.
