Recommended Customer Reviews
Called because I was installing a new tub and demolition revealed some pipe interference that would make it difficult. They said they could not do it. I suggested moving the shower valve a few inches higher than normal, ""good idea that will work."" Spent most of the time standing around and spent 45 minutes ""getting tools"" out of their truck. I got charged over $800 for this plus putting on 2 (wrong) fittings under my sink for the dishwasher. Stay away from this company. Service with a Smile - no wonder.
I made an attempt to replace the shower handle cartridge, with support from a plumber who works at a hardware store. I was able to get all the way to the point where couldn't figure out how to remove the old one, and the plumber was not available, so thought I'd call a professional plumber at that point to finish the job. Figured it couldn't cost too much, since most of the work I had done, and cartridge couldn't cost more than $30. or so. I was shocked at the price I was quoted, $280.00! But because I saw a $50.00 discount online for any service, it turned out less. But still MUCH more expensive than I'd have thought. Unfortunately I had to get it done, since we were unable to turn the water to this faucet off otherwise, so had to turn off whole house water. The plumber was very nice, the customer service was very good. But the price seemed unreasonable. And to add, he gave a price if the valve needed to be replaced would've cost more than $700.00!
I Called and explained what I needed done. After Paying them to look at My 3 Year old Furnace They tried to sell me $2200 in Work I do no need and did not ask for.
Steve M.Scheduled an appointment yesterday for an estimate and possible service. Was told they would show between 10am and 2pm I don't even open til 1 but I made the effort to be there...1:45 rolls around and I get a call saying they won't be there at all. There website also clearly said that they do free estimates and that was wrong as well. Steer clear.
I needed a water filter installed. I've seen the filter @ Home Depot for $79. The guy came in and quoted $1500. Within a couple of minutes it was down to $900. Same job no change in scope. Then it was what do you want to spend? He couldn't go below $800.I felt like I was buying a used car... According to Home Advisor this should be in the $200-$300 range.
Do NOT use this company. We were told on the phone there would be a $99 charge fo a weekend call. Tech came right on time, went to Home Depot for a $40 part, came back to install it. Total time(including trip to HD) was 90 minutes. Bill was over
$400. Sent email to request itemized bill. Never heard back. Buyer beware.
Brian H.A little hard to tell right now. My mother and step dad got a quote to fix their bathroom floor which had been leaking for years. They also got a quote to replace a water heater. That part of the job was done well. The repairs to the floor were the issue. A subcontracted carpenter (Boucher) did the carpentry work. The floor was not supported with joists underneath. The top part of the floor was put in with several cut pieces of plywood which were not level when I inspected after the carpenters were done. The floor also shook when walked on and was not level. This was to be the subfloor for newly installed tile floor. Didn't I de well in my opinion. I called Paul the Plumber and they were responsive and understanding. They said the tile guy would fix the floor before installing tile. However, the person who went back to my mothers house the next day was owner of the carpentry company who did what I believe was shoddy work and not the tile installed. He told my parents and texted me that all that was needed were a few more screws to tighten down the plywood to the subfloor and the two scrap 2x4's they had laid under the subfloor on the wide flat to put the screw into. Not a good long term fix. But Boucher said that it was the right application for the job. Guess we will have to wait and see. So the floor is pretty much as it was. The tile will be installed today and tomorrow. My guess is that the tile will be cracking in not too long a time. Paul the Plumber says all their work is guaranteed, but let's see how responsive they are when problems develop. So this review is partial and I will advise when they say they are compete and some time has passed.
Update 02/07/18 - we'll almost 6 months have passed and so far no issues with the repair. Still level and solid. Will update again later in the year.
Outstanding customer service! You have to appreciate integrity and customer commitment in an age when it seems to be going to the wayside.
This is the business I would recommend anyone use for an installation as they really stand behind their work. Techs are always personable and very professional.
Angela C.WAY too expensive. The problem was fixed, but I feel as if I was very overcharged for the amount of work and time it took.
If I could have given zero stars, I would have. The day before Thanksgiving, we had a leaky drain in our tub. They presented options to fix it, but then charged us $500 over what was quoted. We were charged over $1,200 to replace the drain and faucet in the shower - less than 2 hours of work. I contacted the office immediately to complain and the owner was supposed to get back to me - but never did. The worse part of the experience was that when the Plumber shut off the water in the basement, they poured water near the water heater and tried to make it look like the water heater tank was leaking and needed to be replaced. While trying to find the warranty for the water heater tank, I noticed that the water was drying up very quickly. We didn't replace it, and there hasn't been any water leakage since. I have never been more disgusted.
