Reached out for an estimate and had set up an appointment but apparently the company doesn't work with damaged homes with insurance. Would have helped to know upfront.

We hired Paul to refinish wood floors and hang and paint cabinets and hang a microwave. The job went 2 days beyond the quoted time frame, so I had to pay for 2 nights in a hotel for my family in addition to the 4 nights for the original work. When we inspected the work it turned out to be a sloppy job. I gave him a 2nd chance to make it right, again paying for a hotel room for 4 more nights. When we returned, most of the work had not been completed, and the sub contractor had actually damaged our walls, and floors, and had broken into our garage to find and old can of paint to do touch up work. Upon further inspection, we found that the microwave was hung improperly creating a major safety hazard and had been damaged to where it could not be hung properly. I had to purchase another $275 microwave.

We were hesitant in working with Paul because he required 40% up front, but we went forward anyway. After the damage to our home we fired him and agreed to pay him for the cabinets he hung minus the amount for the damaged microwave. He owes us around $400 which he refuses to pay.
