I had them snake my main drain. The very next day it was inspected with a camera and found that it wasn't cleared.
PCS ""fixed"" my drainage problem for five days before it came back again. Wouldn't come out for no charge because per the contract there's no warranty if there's not a full-size clean-out. Yes, the contract does state on the back that that's the case, but it wasn't made clear to me until the contract was finally written up that I hadn't been getting a full-size clean-out from the get-go. I had another plumber out, who did a full-size clean-out (after explaining that that was an option and what that would entail and what it would cost), which seems to have improved the situation, ended up being for less money, and I got a 30-day warranty to boot.
This place used to be called Big John's, which got great reviews. It has now changed owners and they're awful and don't care that they're awful. Basically the plumber came out with a horrible attitude, didn't want to do anything, moved and added pipes to all the wrong places, and when we threatened not to pay until they fix their work, they retaliated by trying to put a lien on our home. We ended up paying over $3k for about 7 hours of work that was all done wrong, just to avoid the hassle of fighting it all out in court. Some of us actually want to go to work rather than fight all day. Nothing leaked, but nothing was in the right location either. If you want any customer service at all, definitely stay away from these people. It was a really expensive and horrible lesson to learn. They also will fight you to death rather than fix any mistakes and the owner is used to unhappy customers so she's ready to threaten and drag things to court rather than make things right.
Don't use this company! I've been waiting hours after the promised time. Look for a plumber that values customer service. Additionally, my problem is likely related to a repair they previously did.
John T.We had Brain and Daniel our to the house today from Paul C Scott plumbing, to install and second water meter as well as a siphon backstop for our sump pump. As expected, they called ahead, were on time, neat, and very thorough with the work. Their estimate was spot on and they did the job very well. We are very happy with the workmanship.
But in addition to the quality work, Brian was very good at listening to me try to explain our needs in the future. His approach to finishing the job set us up so we can add features to our system in the future. Brian was very thoughtful and patient with me as he listened and explained everything. We will surely call Paul C Scott plumbing for our needs in the future.
Scott S.Terrible experience.. Do not do business with them. If you do, you better get EVERYTHING in writing for you don`t fall prey to bait and switch billing. Get a WRITTEN estimate!
We called Paul Scott plumbing based on a friends referral. We had water back up in our basement in Berkley. Every year we need to have our drains snaked and we were a few months late on getting it done, so we had back up through our floor drains. They came out and said they could only get 30 feet out and did not know why and gave us a quote for thousands of dollars to have an outside clean out put in because they said that is more convenient for them. They charged us more than what we thought we were going to be paying and they did not even complete the job. Me and my husband both tried calling multiple times to speak with someone about our experience. They said only the guy who came out to do the job could speak to us and that he would call us. He never called us back. This past Christmas weekend we had water back up again through our drains. We had a different company come out and snake our drains. They had no problem getting through and opening up our drains and they charged less than Paul Scott. I am very upset the way we were treated by Paul Scott and I think they were only after money. We are a young couple and I hate to say I think we were being taken advance of. Do not recommend Paul Scott Plumbing.
Georgeann E.Unbelievable. Plumber doesn't know difference between sewer drain and storm drain. Water coming in with heavy rain. Says the sewer line is clear. DA!
Had an 11am to 1pm window. Guy shows up at 2:20, no call nothing.
Worse thing is the result depends on who's paying the bill. If you're paying, you get an answer that's honest. If a landlord or condo association is paying, they give the answer the condo wants so they can keep the business. Truly unethical.
Niall and Brandon called ahead to confirm arrival time, showed up promptly at that time and they were both professional and courteous. Both guys are younger than any previous plumbers we have had at the house to do work, so I was a little skeptical about their skill set. That concern was quickly dispelled. Niall took the lead and they quickly got to work clearing our clogged vent stack. I like to learn about home repairs and tagged right along with them asking questions about the job. They were both so friendly and if me tagging along with them bothered them they never let on.
The job was done quickly and I didn't have to miss hardly anytime away from my job! Although I would recommend the company (I felt the charges were higher than what I have paid an independent contractor) the guys more than made up for that putting my mind at ease the problem could be easily resolved. Niall made a suggestion or two about future work we could have done after I asked for any recommendations on what they assessed without coming on strong or pushy or sales-like. Paul Scott company is fortunate to have these two awesome employees!!!
.I won't even give this so called company one star! They charged us $2,500.00 to replace a small piece of sewer pipe and install a clean out and snaked. One month later it backed up and they came to unclog it again telling me we would be charged the next time it happens.although they did inform us that we still had some issues we had NO idea the extent until I called trench less plumbing company who showed us the video inspection ourselves. Long story short,DO NOT USE THIS PLACE BY NO MEANS!!! They are a complete rip off. I never write reveiws but I feel obligated to warn others. They dug up our yard and left it a mess plus they were in the wrong spot and only four feet away from the real issue .they obviously just wanted to be called back again to charge us more money!
