The positive was their responsiveness. Nicole who helped when I called in was very polite, and very helpful in connecting me with someone who could help with my Waterheater same day. That tech who I won't name, again positive side he responded very fast. From there it was pretty downhill. Very short with conversations. We went to the Waterheater, he relit the Waterheater and noticed leaking at the bottom and water spots at the top indicating bad leaks and the system had to be replaced. Again almost no communication at this point. The only thing he said was let me show you your options. Then pulled up an iPad with 3 different Waterheaters to buy. Starting with a $5k option, then a $4k option, then a $3k option. At that point I was completely taken back, he didn't say anything about fixes being an option, he straight up just jumped into the new ones without explaining why there were no fixes available. That's fine, but when I asked him ""is it still covered under warranty, it is only 5 years old from late 2017."" He said ""no, they won't cover this, these are your options."" And showed me the iPad again. I told him, alright I will think about those choices, can you email me those options and I can go over them? He said ""what? You aren't ready to buy it now?"" Very condescending. At that point I laughed and said absolutely not, I need to think about it before I pay $3k minimum. He took down my email, charged me $300 for relighting my Waterheater and left with saying almost nothing to me.
Luckily I knew a little about waterheaters and appliances in general, enough to know to call the manufacture. It turns out it was covered under warranty and I only needed to pay installation. The next day I contacted Lowe's where the first was originally purchased under the manufactures guidance and brought with the plaque from the Waterheater and they said perfect, go pick your new Waterheater. All together it ended up being $395 for the install. They contract the instal out to another company. I used Property solutions. There was no other charge and I have a completely new Waterheater, with an additional 5 year warranty on this Waterheater. I didn't have do anything other than simply ask the manufacturer, ""hey is this sort of thing covered"" and they took care of everything. Incredibly easy. The rep for Paul Bunyan was awful. I can't imagine the amount of either unsuspecting customers, elder clients or whomever else they cheat out of thousands of dollars. He easily could have told me. ""Sure, give the warranty number on the heater a call and see what they say, if they can't call me back and I'll show you our Waterheaters."" On top of that their prices were pretty expensive. Lowe's, Home Depot, menards all have Waterheater options for $2-$5k yes, but they also have options that start at $600-$1k which is nice to have that choice. Full 40-50gallon units, tall tanks, short tanks all choices at all prices. So for that installer from Paul Bunyan to show me $3-$5k units only and not even mention they have some less expensive choices too was absurd. I strongly suggest against this company.
What I would recommend is Property Solutions. They were fantastic, quick, helpful, and personable even though the last one of personality isn't as important it doesn't hurt. He was a great guy and they were fantastic. They came out on the weekend as well. So I would recommend calling Property solutions if you need help or repairs, and check the pricing at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc just in case to make sure the other places aren't wildly off in pricing.

Overpriced, not trustworthy. Had 3 people out (more appointments than that since they aren't reliable) and still have a clogged drain. All 3 gave wildly different fixes. The second one bright light brought up beating someone up badly as though that's professional. When the last one left, they implied it was just ""a little slow"" now, not still the same. The company also offered a credit to our account to take down a bad Google review I posted after they ghosted us for our first attempt at solving our issues and that was never honored. I have now heard from pretty much anyone I bring this up to that paul bunyan was a terrible plan to go through. Multiple people have told me how they had work done and ended up spending thousands. One was lucky to get second opinions and got the work done for several thousands less than the estimate and I bet their work was actually f-ing completed. Far from legendary unless they're going for the legend of being the worst. Never got any of those legendary service items that supposedly come with it either. Scam.

I can't comment on the actual service but Paul Bunyan is overpriced and I will not be getting any service from them. I paid $120 for the ""membership"" that waives the $89 trip charge and offers a thorough inspection and discounts on pricing. I was told they would be able to do the work when they came out. Instead, it felt like a sales visit more than an inspection, and no work was performed. All I got was overpriced estimates and it took two hours out of my work day. I was quoted $2350 for a new hot water heater, $1375 for 6 shut-off valves, and $460 for a tub spout diverter. Today I called two different companies and was quoted around $1500 for hot water heater. I do not recommend this company.

This company is 100% a bait and switch company.
Expect price ups when they come out, we had a $99 main clean the guy claimed that he got Injured using the auger on our drain and that he also destroyed his equipment.
Next thing I know they are trying to sell me $1000 hydo jet treatment. Only use these as a last resort.

I had requested for water sink dispenser system installation and i bought all the parts. The installer had conveyed many things to be changed (my house is 7 years old and neighbor installed it around $250 with another company.) . The price that was quoted is $1000 from Paul Banyan. And they said they cant guarantee with the parts that i bought. Anyways not recommending this company as its overpriced, not skilled and worst customer service. Look out for different reasonable plumber

scam. came in for a quote - didn't inspect my water heater at all, just spoke with me about the issue. 2 year old heater losing hot water after 10 min. quoted me over $900 and after he left I called the manufacturer. they LAUGHED at the quote and said I should be paying $150. deceitful people.

Terrible service and overpriced. They want to install a new water heater for $2300. That's conservatively $400 more than competition and they ask you to sign up for $130 before they even show up.

Add pushy sales tactics and bad mouthing all other contractors and their pricing.

Definitely not worth calling.

The Tech was knowledgeable on service, but pushy, cocky sales tactics from Tech is why they lost the job (new water heater install).

Mike was fast and efficient with fixing my toilet. He was very knowledgable. Had a bling issue and the company was able to quickly resolve the issue for me.

My wife and I had an awesome experience with out trenchless sewer repair. The crew was professional, personable, and pricing was in-line with other companies. Highly recommend.

Although Todd was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very personable, this job was very easy and only took 1 hour and 15 minutes and cost me $673, which was ridiculous. The work performed was to replace a section of water pipe and clear a basement drain.
