We have been using Pat's Plumbing for very many years. we live in a townhome community and I have been the President of the association for 22 years. I refer all the homeowners to Pat's for their plumbing needs. They have installed a new water heater, toilets, new water shut off valves though our house. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable. Alex used to be the guy that showed up here. Since he moved on, Jesse is now the guy. He is very good and conscientious in his work!! We had a bathroom remodeled recently. The toilet had come loose. I didn't call the remodeler. They had their chance. I called Pat's to reset the toilet, since I had no problems after they installed it years ago. Whatever your plumbing needs make Pat's your first and only call. You will get topflight treatment.

Thanks,
Don

To do a simple gas stove install, including running about 15 feet of gas line, they quoted us 4 hours at $200 an hour for what should only be about 1 hour's worth of install time and about 1 hour's worth to returning to touch base with the city inspector, on top of $1,000 for parts (when you can get a parts kit at Home Depot for less than $200). So that's a quote of $1,800 for what should be less than $500 - around $300 worth of labor and less than $200 worth of parts. We paid them their $50 consultation fee and sent them on their way.

I'm not sure why this company is getting such bad reviews. We had an old water tank leaking in our basement. It was really bad. About 1/4 inch of water all over the floor.

We called other places, but no one could make it out for two days. We could NOT wait that long. We called Pat's and they were able to replace out water heater the same day. The guys who did the job were polite and professional.

I'd recommend Pat's again in a heartbeat!

I've referred lots of business with them over the past 12 years & many clients have been happy with their service. I called for a toilet repair on my own house & they were no show's twice. It was frustrating since I set aside 2 days waiting for them. So I'm not sure what's going on with customer service?

Pats Plumbing was referred by Home Advisor to help with low pressure at kitchen sink and no water at outdoor faucet. Here are the facts, you decide if you want to use them. Showed up on time, one technician came, in the other stayed in the truck the entire time. Technician one came in and immediately checked under sink and said I had a ""water leak"" at the shutoff. Returned to the truck for 10 or so minutes then came in and said he could replace the shutoff valve and fix ""the leak"" for $523 dollars. THERE IS NO LEAK! I said hold off on that and check my original problem. Without looking at the faucet he said he can take it off and clean it out for $184 but it probably needs to be replaced and that would be $612. Really?? This quote came after another extended stay in the truck working on the quote. Do they assume senior citizens are unable to look under the sink and will just blindly follow their suggestions? Well not this one. I paid their $38 diagnostic charge and showed him the door. Be very careful. More interested in quoting unnecessary work than helping a homeowner.

Location is Federal Way.

We do not recommend using Pat's Plumbing. We called them to help us with a house we recently bought that had old plumbing. The hot water in our upstairs bathroom was barely coming through the sink and it would take about 10 minutes for the shower to warm up. We had galvanized pipes. The employee recommended that we upgrade the pipes to plastic, so we agreed. He said he would run the pipes along the galvanized so he wouldn't have to bill us the extra money to remove the galvanized (which we thought was a smart idea). Although we ended up getting the hot water, there was just so much more going on..
Come to find out, he capped off the galvanized pips so we had a metal cap on the wall behind the toilets and under the sinks. The new plastic pipes came up through the flooring and not the walls since it was easier access for him, forget about the aesthetics, right?
Through this project, we also had some problems with our toilets that randomly would run. We bought two toilets and I replaced them both myself. One kept running. The employee removed the toilet guessing there was a crack in the bowl and replaced it with a toilet he had in his truck. It kept running. He said he could go on the roof to see if there is a clog in our exhaust pipe that may be siphoning the water out of the pipe, I agreed to it because we needed a resolution. Again, no resolution but now I'm out two different toilets and the cost of him going on the roof. Oh and he put the hot water pipes into the toilet, steamy butt you say?
We recently had a huge plumbing problem (washer leaked and flooded the downstairs) that caused us to open up walls and fix some things. Well, the plumber that was hired through the contractor (NOT Pat's Plumbing) couldn't believe the work that was done by Pat's Plumbing. He also asked why we didn't get a new water heater since all of the rust from the old water heater was going through the new pipes Pat's Installed.
I originally asked the Pat's Plumbing Employee if we should get a new water heater but he said ""It has a few more years left and you don't want to spend the extra money if it has life left in it, just flush it out.""
I'm not a plumber. I'm trusting him the professional.
That backfired.
During our remodel from the flood, they removed all galvanized, put the new plastic piping through the walls and cleaned it all up. Was it easier since all of the walls were down? Yes but Pat's had the chance to do this.
I emailed Pat's Plumbing to let them know that we hired them to fix our plumbing problems, not delay our plumbing problems, there is a difference.
We ended up getting a response from them, a letter in the mail that discussed the contract and they completed the job within the scope of the contact. They were better off acknowledging, owning and providing a small refund but chose to stick to their legal document.
I will not recommend a plumbing company that is not proactively trying to help their customers and just nickel and dime them. In their letter, they also bragged about their 80% retention rate of existing clients, that means 20 houses out of 100 do not call them back, think about that..
I also want to note, the employee's personality was very kind and he may have had good intentions, but at the end of the day, the job was not done to the standards that it should have been. All of the hogwash regarding the toilet should have been refunded since it was never resolved.
We would have been fine letting Pat's Plumbing install new plastic piping throughout the whole house, physically remove the galvanized pipes and get a new water heater when they initially helped us. Our financial situation hasn't changed from then and now. They missed out on a larger project, retention of us and possibly referrals. Instead, they did a temporary fix, lost a customer and now get bad reviews wherever I can mention it and provide zero referrals.

Just received a quote to install and haul away a dishwasher. We were quoted almost a $1000 dollars for what would probably be an hour of work. It would have cost more than the new dishwasher. I don't think so! Should have looked at yelp first. We're stuck with a $40 dispatch fee. Google says installation and haul away should be about $250!

I needed a leaking hose bib fixed on the outside of our garage. The leaking bib was soldered in and i dont have the tools or skills to DIY. Pats guys show up and estimate the bib replacement at $600 dollars!! I about fell over, but what was i going to do? I authorized the work thinking ok maybe its more complicated than i thought? It took the 2 guys approx 20 minutes to do the work with an apprentice doing half the soldering Work. I have no problem paying for skilled workers at a fair rate but this was pure price gouging in its truest form. Save yourself from my experience and choose any other plumbing company.

COMPLETE RIP OFF, BAIT AND SWITCH, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Man, I really wish I would have read the reviews prior to hiring these folks. Quoted $38 to come out. I wanted to do a moisture check for possible water leakage behind the tile in my shower. They went out to their car and came back with an estimate for $365. I told them that was more than I could afford and asked them if they would instead remove my shower filter. It's one of those screw on filters that Amazon sells, can be installed/uninstalled in about 5 minutes with no tools. I'm disabled, which is the only reason why I need help with a task that simple. Well get this, they said they'd remove the screw on shower filter only if I paid them $365!!!!! What?!? $365 for something that can be done in 5 minutes with no tools?!? I still can't figure out how they were able to quote me this price with a straight face. BTW the supposed plumber looked like he was 16 years old, and his coworker looked about 20. These people and this company are a total joke!

This company is a scam. No good reviews. We own a toilet now worth $1000.00 from our first business dealings. Wife called them again to fix our water heater. They canceled first non weekend appointment [due to ""emergencies""] where they told us that they had the expected part. We called to get another appointment where they told us we had the part?. All in all good repair people just really bad office people who make repair decisions they should not make. Expect a real shock at the bill. Tired of waiting for service and huge bill. AVOID THESE PEOPLE IN FEDERAL WAY WA.
