Working with Shawn and his team was a pleasure. He delivered outstanding work on time and on budget - to things no contractor has been able to provide in my time in San Diego. At one point, my husband and I changed our minds over an accent tile after it was installed, and Shawn removed and replaced it with no issues. Such a relief and we got exactly what we wanted. Shawn and his crew are as good as it gets. Patriot handled finishing our kitchen remodel, renovating two bathrooms, adding entryway tiles, trim and baseboards all over our house, installing lights, and fixing my previous contractors mistakes. He is easy to communicate with, clear, and solves problems without stressing (which is really helpful for a homeower with a lot of anxiety about the project). His estimate for the work was fair and we couldn't be happier with the work. Most importantly, he and his crew are likable, friendly, and honest.

I'm impressed again with Shawn! We contacted Him in a little bit of a panic after our tenants moved out and damaged some of the shower tiles along with the faucet fixtures in both bathrooms. Shawn was able to fit us in to repair the damages less than a week later. As expected he did an impeccable job! You can't tell at all that any of the tiles in the shower had been replaced and re-grouted. We can't recommend Patriot Tile enough and would never think of contacting anyone else for our needs!

Shawn was meticulous in his execution of my fireplace remodel. It turned out even better than I imagined, even better then the example from Pinterest I had showed him. He hand chose a beautiful wood mantle piece with character, stained and distressed it to match our coffee table. He found the perfect type of wood for the slats above the fireplace; he milled it and painted it with such beautiful precision. It was no easy task to mill everything to perfection. Our fireplace was not originally constructed with perfect angles and he had to make adjustments. I just love staring at the grooves and connections of the wood slats-- it's a thing of beauty. He worked so well with us when we were working out our initial vision and when my husband and I decided to make changes during the project. He was patient with us, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and understanding. He was very efficient and finished in 4 days! He's really at the top of his game and The Best contractor we have ever worked with. The people he brought to work with him were also very professional and everyone was so nice. It was a pleasure having them all in my home. On top of it all-- I had shopped around with other contractors for the same job and he blindly had pretty much matched the others on price without my having to haggle. Awesome.

We requested a quote from Shawn at Patriot Tile & Remodel and he was extremely prompt with getting back to us, came over to the house to look at the bathrooms then gave us a quote the next day. When we met him he was just one of those people you get a good feeling from. We had gotten quotes from 2 other contractors but Shawn's came back very competitive and when we decided to move forward with him he said ""I'm in for you guys"" and I knew we made the right choice.

We got both our hallway and master bathrooms redone and they each took about a week. We wanted a shower shelf that ran the width of the wall but the framing behind didn't allow for a depth that would hold the shampoo and conditioner bottles. Fortunately Shawn had run into this issue with another project he had worked on so he was able to quickly recommend a solution and move forward without any delay. The result was spectacular! We also wanted a herringbone patterned floor using relatively small tiles but they were so patient and made sure every piece had a clean cut and looked perfect.

The bathrooms both came out so beautifully but there were so many other details that made this process so smooth. We both trusted Shawn to be in our house while we were away at work. We also have 2 large Labradors that he was okay with having in the house gated off in the kitchen and came by periodically to give them love which seems silly but makes a huge difference to us. He also made sure to lay down a cloth tarp each day where they would be walking in and out of the house to keep their work area clean. After the projects were finished a piece of the shower hardware broke which was no fault of Shawn's. The manufacturer sent us a replacement part and he was willing to quickly come out and fix it for us. We are both so happy with the result of the bathrooms and all of our neighbors are jealous. We definitely plan to give Shawn a call again when we decide to move forward with the other projects we have. THANK YOU!

We just completed our second project with Shawn and his team....this time a double bathroom remodel. It looks absolutely amazing and my only regret is not getting it done sooner! We completely gutted 2 bathrooms down to the floors and walls. Installed new vanities, toilets, lighting, all new shower and tub pieces. Replaced drywall and built out shower shelves. New tile in showers and flooring. Pocket Door! Awesome bead-board back splash. Barn lighting. The works. I can't thank Shawn enough producing a great finishing product. I am quite a perfectionist at times and really know that Shawn does great work. He spends the time to do things right and doesn't cut corners. He has a small crew that he works with regularly. They are all great guys. So nice to have the same people on the project every day. He is great at communicating and comes in at his quoted price. He is very good at discussing problems that come up and giving a few the options so you are involved in the process. I can't wait to start my next project with Shawn.... master bathroom 2018!

We remodeled our bathroom two years ago with Patriot Tile & Remodel. We loved how it turned out and continue to get compliments. This month, we remodeled our master bathroom and received the same wonderful workmanship. Not only is the workmanship superb, all the workers are pleasant and helpful.

Based on the reviews here, I expected better. While Shawn may do a good job at remodeling, his customer service skills could definitely use improvement. I took time off work to meet him at my house and explain the scope of work to him. At that time, he indicated he was interested and available to do the job during the time period I requested. I received his quote a week later and then followed up with him to schedule the work during the time period we discussed. I have emailed him and texted him 3 times now and can't get a straight answer out of him. I am surprised and disappointed at his lack of professional courtesy.

Love love love Shawn and his crew. I will never use anyone else. He helped me remodel my whole house. He installed/plumbed/tiled my kids bathroom, guest bathroom, and master bathroom. He tiled my kitchen, installed appliances. Stoned my three fireplaces. Did the brick floor in my laundry room. And brought in a crew to redo my hardwood floors (MDM flooring, who I loved also). He wasn't shy to attack anything I asked him and was honest if I asked something way out of scope or out of his expertise which I appreciated. He did minor structural, I had to move couple doors and patch up. That was his scope in summary.

I feel like I can say this, I expect perfection. I can't stand when I feel people are taking the easy way out or cutting corners. Let me just say, I still look at Shawns work and admire his work and am still looking for flaws but I just can't find any. They did an incredible job. Just as an example, the tile work, I don't have cut off tile at the top or sides, it's spaced correctly and flows together as it should. It's silly details but I noticed everyday.

The last thing I will mention is that I loved it was a small crew. I am particular about who comes into my home and who is hired. They are all very close, hard workers and so so nice. Shawn is a pretty laid back person. So easy and mellow to work with, yet when I was stressed about the project or had concerns, he would give attention to me immediately.

I am happy to talk over the phone with anyone on his work. Highly recommend his team and the quality of work he does.

Shawn as his team remodeled our entire downstairs including flooring, kitchen cabinets, countertops, kitchen and bath fixtures, appliances, doors/locks, baseboards and associated plumbing, paint, and electrical work. We decided on Shawn's company, ""Patriot Tile and Remodel"" after speaking with several of our neighbors who were very happy with his work. We are extremely happy with Shawn, as well. He's a true professional, perfectionist, and a man with integrity. He has a saying: ""No problems, only solutions"", and he lives by that mantra. I think his kind of integrity is a rare thing these days. Many contractors are only looking for a paycheck. Shawn wants you to be happy, first and foremost, and he won't stop until you're happy with the results. We intend to use him for our upcoming upstairs remodel...no question. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
