I was very impressed with JAmes at Patriot plumbing. We purchased a new home that had several plumbing issues. Our first plumber looked at the problem serially, and fixed the first part that was broken. This did not fix the issues. I called Patriot and JAMES arrived to understand the problems.He asked a basic question: why did the part break? He spend the time to test all the faucets and hot water , not only for temperature, but Volume. His query led us to the root cause of the issue- the plumbing was designed in reverse of standard practices! This solved several issues for us. Taking the time to diagnosis the problem made all the difference before opening their tool box.

I used their service for the replacement of main line from water meter to my house. James and Dominic had done a great job for this project. After they were done, James walked me through what they did and answered some of my questions. He also sent me the pictures of the intermittent process of the work they did. I am glad I chose them for this project. I will definitely use them again for future projects.

Before I decided to use them, I was struggling among several plumber companies who gave me a quote. Dino, the owner of Patriot Plumbing, came to my house personally, addressed some of my concerns, explained again (James already did while he gave me the quote) what they will do and promised me his staff will perform the task nicely. I thought he was really sincere so I made my decision to hire them and singed the contract with Dino right away. Besides, I do prefer family owned business.

Their price was about the medium among all the quotes I got (I had 7 quotes). I think their price was reasonable. Of course you can find cheaper ones but you get what you pay for. One of the companies didn't even have time to explain what they would do. They just gave me a quote, told me to call them and took off. I didn't even get a chance to ask all questions I had. Some of them told me to get the permit and call dig alert by myself so that they don't need to spend time on that, which was probably why they were able to quote at lower price. James took care of everything for me and that really saved me a lot of troubles.

Highly recommend Patriot Plumbing! Previously James installed a kitchen faucet with accessories, and did a super neat and beautiful installation. I think he is even more picky than I am! So rare to find in a plumber and Plumbing company! On a more recent job, Dino was very responsive in evaluating a Roman Tub faucet and valve replacement. His recommendations prepared us for James to do another outstanding installation! Due to the nature of the work, it was very involved and James did a fantastic job of making everything work. Professional, very friendly, and detailed, clean workmanship. Very pleased!

I called Patriot plumbing for a preventative maintenance rooter service on kitchen drain.

The work was performed as expected, at a reasonable price. Was on time for my appointment, and honest about the the job at hand.


Upon further review, I do have a minor issue with my service. The technician did recommend that I should have 4 inch sewer access caps added to my main sewer line to clean it out properly, since I only have a 2 inch access from my kitchen access (1970s house). It is expensive, but needed to clean out the main sewer line up to the street City sewer line. I agree with this assessment. But for now I have no ""slow drain"" issues so may wait to do this.

What I particular did not like is that he did not want to perform the ""minor"" maintenance cleanout, but still charge me $125 for the house visit. So I at least had him clean out the kitchen sewer line for slightly more than the ""House Visit"" price. It ended up that my kitchen pipes did have some minor ""sludge"" in it so the rooter work helped.

We had just recently purchased this property and it had an extensive system of landscape drains. We wanted to make sure they were clear in time for Fall/Winter rains. James of Patriot Plumbing & Rooter arrived and did a lengthy assessment of our systems and determined they were in pretty fair shape but also alerted us to areas that could not be checked due to the irregular layout and angles of some of the drainage pipes. He then ran water through at regular pressure to see if there were any major blockages. Finding none he then ran higher pressure water through to clear out the leaves and other debris. He sent water through both ends of the system and from many entry points to gives us the cleanest possible drains and to check for any possible trouble areas. He was happy to answer a lot of my questions so I would more fully understand how my system operated and what to do in the future to keep it running clean. I highly recommend James & Patriot Plumbing & Rooter in Irvine.

Just had a new garbage disposal installed today. They came right on time and were very helpful during and after the installation. James took the time to explain what to do and not to do with new disposal and how to keep in running perfectly.
